After 6 years of glitches & false alarms we are extremely frustrated and have lost all confidence in the unreliable system, the service techs and the sometimes monitoring station.Faulty equipment, mis-alignment of sensors at install & loose wires caused random alarms, mis-identification of equipment caused mixups when there actually was a problem with the sump, poor placement of equipment on installation caused false alarms and left holes in the ceiling when equipment had to be moved, horn that only ever worked once and nobody cared to fix it, covered smoke detector randomly goes off in the middle of the night so 4 fire trucks arrive for no reason, surly techs that refuse to investigate issues or properly test, techs that just aren’t sure and contradict each other and calls that never come from the monitoring station after alarm activations……so after 6 years paying for monitoring and a service agreement we’re now stuck with an unusable system that does nothing except beep constantly and needs to be replaced

I had an alarm system installed in my home last year by Force Security. Just this month I upgraded to a camera system as well. Recently I had problems with my rural telephone land line that was finally resolved by the phone company (after a few attempts) after which Force Security’s service staff came out to the house to restore my alarm monitoring status and to make sure everything was in working order. Im extremely pleased with the service Ive received from Force Security over the course of the last 15+ years. Ive had alarm systems installed in my last 3 homes, that have worked flawlessly. After being with Force Security for years, both for my home and business, Ive come to dislike their business practices. Recently I renewed my contract and shortly thereafter needed a service call. After speaking with whom I believe was the owner (Mark?), I was surprised to hear that they wanted me to sign another contract when I was no more than a year into my current three year term. I respectfully declined and asked for the service call to be done. A technician was at my house and I was surprised to be presented with ANOTHER CONTRACT, after having already said I wouldnt be signing one since I had two years left. The technician mentioned that they were asked to give it to me anyway. Im very put off by this kind of business behavior. I only hope anyone considering Force Security reads what they get before signing as they could be locking themselves into another term without knowing!

One of my worst experience as a homeowner. Bought a house 9 years ago with an alarm system which was malfunctioning. Force security were called and offered to replace the battery for FREE if I agreed to have my home alarm monitored by them for $28/month/ I agreed. Three years later another malfunction and they returned and had me sign that I was satisified with the repair. Seems I signed a five year contract that does not include any repair. No cost increase in years just less service for the same amount. My alarm has not worked since 2011 yet I am obligated to pay $25+HST till June. Hundreds of dollars for nothing. Its a new way to do business. I foolishly signed a document without reading thinking I could trust my home security company. How ironic is that!
