Beth from Sweet Shoppe made a 3 tiered cake for me, and it turned out beautifully. It looked just like, maybe even better than the photo sample I sent her. It tasted so delicious I bit a finger in the cake feeding exchange. Perfect moisture, texture and density, yummiest cake I ever ate. The frosting was heavenly and I could see myself eating a whole tub .... She worked with me to make an egg-free, nut-free layer for those with allergies. Went above and beyond while being reasonably priced. Highly recommend the Sweet Shoppe by Beth for your cake needs!

Beth has made our family many cakes, cookies and cupcakes. Whats really special for our family is that there are 3 of us who must eat gluten free. You really cant tell the difference, everything weve had from The Sweet Shoppe is absolutely delicious! My son and his wife ordered their wedding cake there, and it was both beautiful and delicious! My experience at The Sweet Shoppe has been excellent, from the attractiveness of the shop to the huge selection of goodies, amazing smells, and the customer service is top notch! I definitely highly recommend The Sweet Shoppe.

The sweet shoppe is AMAZING. Something for everyone, not just cake. But oh.....the CAKES are the best youve ever had! My favorite cake flavor is the white chocolate raspberry! I also love the dipped pretzels and the BLUEBERRY SCONES! They always great you with a smile and are wonderful at helping you find/design what you need!! Check them out! You wont be sorry!

I have been ordering cakes and cupcakes from Beth even before her Sweet Shoppe days and refuse to go elsewhere. Everything tastes amazing and consistent. I never feel overcharged and the customer service staff is always happy to help me come up with ideas for cake decor. This is a great family-run business. I highly recommend The Sweet Shoppe for all of your cake, cupcake, fudge, cakepop, etc. needs!

I ordered some decadent cupcakes for a baby shower...every single one of them were gone by the end of the shower. The mama to be said she was craving lots of sweets during pregnancy so I asked them to take the idea and run with it. Holy cow, every cupcake was topped with their homemade chocolate truffles and candies. The strawberry cupcake was the crowd fave!

Excellent service. Me and my wife, Tamara, had gotten a grooms cake and 3-tier wedding cake and both were delicious. We had a little problem with the wedding cake but we had came to a resolution. I would recommend Beth and her crew to anyone and I may end up being back for some type of desert.

Beth has done so many things for me, its hard to pinpoint just one. Most recently, she did some decorated sugar cookies that I took to our national company meeting. I wish I could upload a picture for this review. They were PERFECT, and as always, delicious! Everyone loved them!! She has done these cookies before, along with cakes, cupcakes & cookies! Always delicious and always cute! She does outstanding work!! So lucky she is here in Nicholasville!!

The cake was on time, pretty & it tasted good. However, it was not the cake that I asked for. I brought in a picture & paid her half down almost a year in advance. A week before my wedding & after she had been paid in full, she called & asked me to remind her what I wanted. When, I resent her the picture that I had brought in, she told me that she hadn’t quoted me the right price for what I wanted & that she could only give me two flowers. I really wish I could figure out how to post a picture so that you could see what I got verses what I asked for. It was very disappointing, but I didn’t let it ruin our day.

Everything from their cake pops to whoopie pies are phenomenal! (Try the pumpkin in the Fall!) Beth and the ladies really make some beautiful creations. I cant wait to see what the next new cupcake flavor will be!

Beth Ray at the Sweet Shoppe by Beth in Nicholasville, KY is an extremely talented baker. First, she was the most affordable option I found in the Lexington/Nicholasville/Richmond area. Second, she was such a sweet person to work with. She was willing to meet with me during busy times and coordinated almost everything via email since I was an out-of-town bride. Lastly, HER CAKE WAS AMAZING! Everyone was raving about how gorgeous it was. People thought that the cake cost thousands of dollars. Even my husband, who does not really care about any kind of food, dessert, or decoration, was talking about the cake for the next week after our wedding. She does FREE flavor tastings, and the tastings aren’t just tiny pieces of cake where you can hardly taste it; they are full cupcakes! She has a small deposit and is flexible on calling and making payments. She runs a wonderful bakery, and really did an incredible job with our wedding cake!

We had a cake made for our sons baptism. We were referred to the Sweet Shoppe from our friends, who had their wedding cake made by Beth. Ive tried many different cakes and bakeries, and this was by far the best tasting cake Ive ever had. Nothing even close. We will be returning anytime we need a cake.
