Such a great time! Pat was or Docent for our tour today and he was so knowledgeable. He knew the answer to every single question we asked of him. The work they are doing at Echo is truly inspiring. They are reaching people all over the world and teaching them how to grow their own food. I cannot wait to go back for the other tour.

ECHO is THE place to go if you enjoy gardening. Their mission to feed the world by targeted horticulture solutions is truly inspiring! I have visited the farm many times over the 30 plus years I have lived here. Their staff, volunteers and interns are friendly and extremely knowledgeable. My wife has planted an herb garden every year and my mango, avocado, and mulberry trees are all from the ECHO nursery. Their signature event is Farm Day and is one of the best times to visit to tour, taste test, and attend educational seminars. Most of what I have learned about horticulture in Florida I credit to my visits to ECHO. Take the time to visit if you are in the area, you will be glad you did!

Fun, informative 90 minute Farm Tour and met great people helping solve world hunger and poverty. Very good 10 minute intro video. Also took the 90 minute Appropriate Technology Tour which showed us how people are taught to make what they need from what they can get! Clean and pump water, cook food with less wood, even build houses using bamboo!Knowledgeable staff and volunteers on hand to answer questions.Well stocked, organized and inexpensive gift shop with interesting finds from all over the world supporting fair trade with many impoverished people. Very well stocked tropical nursery quality plants, most are edible!Tip: Bring a lunch and eat at the picnic tables under the bamboo shade. Also lots to see without the docent led tour!Supporting this place is a great way to donate to help others in need!

I go and take the tours at Echo about every 3 or 4 years as well as buy my seeds and plants from the nursey regularly. I LOVE their mission and the work they do to educate small scale farmers in 3rd world countries and encourage sustainability. I truly believe they do Gods work. I encourage anyone with the faintest interest to take some time to tour and learn about what they do.

We were so excited since learning of Eco Farm. We told family & friends all about how excited we were to SEE this place. We finally were able to travel to Ft Meyers for a visit, a 5 hour drive. I called for information, I felt the woman was rude, at best she was short with me, she had no interest in me, she said go to the website. Which I had already done. We were crushed. We had hope to do a tour then spend a week volunteering. That wont be happening. We dont care to spend our time and money to be treated badly.

I have been driving over 100 miles to Echo Nursery for the past 5 years because they had the best of everything. I am still refraining from going back after being treated rudely by staff when I arrived at 3PM on a Friday in March hoping to buy soil enhancer, only to be told by the female closing the office door that they were closed. Odd their posted signs all said they were open. They dont seem to need customers from the U.S. Just our donations.

My husband and I had been wanting to visit ECHO in Fort Meyers for quite some time, but havent had a day off together to go. We FINALLY had a free day on his birthday, but when we arrived there was a sign on the gate saying Closed Today For A Special Event. There was no mention of it on the website. After traveling 100 miles to get there, we were heartbroken. Need better website management.

Took the tour here for the first time and first visit, guide was nice and informative and kept it entertaining. Even answered all our annoying newbie questions. Nursery is one of a kind 5++ star amazing. The only reason is a 4 star instead of 5 is the website and online information is real garbage and very difficult to navigate. In our age where we rely on the internet so often. Would love to see a online list of what is available in the nursery even at a basic level because they shift from completely sold out for 6 months to we have too many of these they are on sale and they only way a customer knows is by constantly calling the front desk to check inventory every two weeks or so. For instance today they have a fall sale, everything 10% off and up... No mention whatsoever anywhere but in person. The only reason i know is because i call consistently to ask for specific plants before i drive 3 hours there and back. Dont get me wrong its worth the drive but they could save us both a lot of hassle with decent online presence. Actually the way i found Echo was via someone elses YouTube video who lives In logs Angeles, Google searches didnt clearly define that echo was a nursery at all and obviously the website wasnt clear. My first call to them before my first vist started literally by asking what do you do here, what exactly are you. Anyway thats all, a little constructive criticism maybe but still a amazing place and company.

The Garden of Eden is echoed in this oasis of Shalom-peace and purpose.Echo exists to inspire and equip development workers like us here at Tree of Life Organics so the miracle trees like moringa (aka the “Tree of Life”) and chaya/spinach tree plus a host of green manure plants (plants that fix nitrogen for sustainable rich soils) can be cultivated in places where they can make mean the difference between life or starvation. The amazing gardens and incredibly innovative “appropriate technology“ workshops are the visible evidence of the real essence of Echo, which are God– Inspired ideas and technologies that really work. Echo is all about hands-on, effective, lasting education and developing heart/mind/hands so that development workers are truly equipped to innovate and get results with sustainable agriculture. The result? Lasting and growing solutions for all kinds of social problems related to hunger and poverty!Go to ECHO! You will leave forever changed, and ready to be an agent for change!!!- Van Hutchinson, Tree of Life Organics
