I was stranded almost an hour away from home with a car that wouldnt start. Gengras was the closest Volvo dealership, and I am so glad I called them!Every person I spoke with was super nice and helpful, and Volvos Roadside Assistance arranged everything with the tow company to pick me up. (Mikes Automotive Tow Services was also great.)The dealership is beautiful, clean, and organized. The waiting room is large and airy, and has several separate sitting areas so you can still maintain your social distance.Its never a good day when your car breaks down and you find out the cost to repair, but they sure lessened the sting with the great service offered.

My wife and I recently moved to North Haven and Ive been by Gengras Volvo twice in the past few months. First time was to buy an oil filter for my 2015 S60 and the 2nd time was to have the seat belt recall done. Both times, Lee Page was fantastic! Came to buy car, got the presentation, found the car, went on test drive, exchanged numbers, was told we would get a call back.Two months later - got the call asking if still interested. Lack of follow-up for customers, nice guy though, nice cars, spacious location and excellent sales strategy.

I left the dealership at their old location and returned because my parents were lifetime loyal customers. (Sadly my parents know nothing about cars and are quick to pull out the wallet - gengras favorite kind of consumer). I brought my 2010 xc-60 in for regular high-mileage maintenance and found out the turbo was blown. OK. The car did not rattle or vibrate, no pinging sounds or anything so anyone with car knowledge wouldve known I probably had a little time to drive her slow while I found a new car or decided what to do. Instead of letting me know that the car would lag, be bad on gas mileage or would just not pass emissions the tech was forced to make it sound like it was an emergency and I had to unload the car asap on someone or pay 6 grand to fix the turbo right there, no other options. They demanded I leave work early to bring their loaner back in or bring it by 8 AM the next day because they were out of plates. I begged for another option because I was now terrified to drive my car, and the tech was given no ability to be flexible and had to stick to his script. When I came in, they ushered me to a salesman who suddenly had extra cars and plates when he was trying to get me to buy a new volvo. This dealership treats you one way based on what price tag you come with, and the service techs are so nice but are bound by terrible business policies and scripts that force the customer to shoulder the burden 10 times out of 10. This business does not care about you at all and staff are trained to lie by omission.After all that, a manager called me to apologize and his big excuse was that his service techs job is to SELL service, so in reality they were providing excellent service because he couldve just told me I had to do the 6k turbo job. No Sir, that would be called fraud and techs jobs are to provide service not sell it. De-frauding customers and up-selling are not the same thing.I private sold my Volvo for over quadruple what they told me her value was and bought a new car elsewhere. Dont let them convince you that your car is in crisis and you need to do this or that - you have much more options than they let it seem. If you know the right questions to ask, you can enjoy service from them and may not get scammed.My original review was stating that I believed I had an after-market part that was not disclosed when I first bought the car from them in Meriden.The staff are good people but save yourself the headache and avoid GENGRAS entirely!

I had such a great experience recently at Gengras Volvo Cars North Haven. I went in looking at a pre-owned 2018 Audi A4 that they had in stock. I worked with Nate, and he is a consumate professional as well as very personable. His knowledge about cars is vast, and he was beyond helpful with any questions I had. So we needed to buy a third car for my son to drive. Something inexpensive but reliable. After going to several dealerships to look at cars we found on Autotrader, we were pretty disappointed. When you shop for a used car under $10,000, most dealers dont even bother to clean the vehicle. On top of that the customer service is almost nonexistent, and the creative pricing is a joke. When I saw the car we ultimately bought at Gengras we were skeptical as it was a little older than we initially wanted. We recently moved from New York to CT and had Volvo lease expiring prior to our move so we on a trip to CT we stopped by Gengras Volvo in North Haven to speak to the dealer about leasing a new Volvo. The salesperson, Michael, showed us a XC60 and let us test drive. We loved the car and wanted to sign a lease right then but because we were not yet residents of CT we could not. So we waited until we moved, last week, and called this week to say we wanted to come see what they had in stock. There was a model that was shown online that met are needs but when we got to the dealer Tuesday evening Michael told us it was already sold. He and the general manger started to diligently investigate if there were other models in the area. In the meantime, my wife and I asked Michael what other models he had in stock and he mentioned me just got in a XC90 but it was oxyium gray. He showed us another model in the showroom the same exterior color and we were sold. It had a blonde interior, which we love, and all the features we wanted. We signed the deal that evening and picked up the car the next day. I can’t say I’ve had a better car buying experience.

I couldnt be happier with my experience at Gengras Volvo of North Haven, specifically with the client advisor I was working with, Brian. I walked into the dealership by myself, a 25 year old female, expecting to feel pressured into making a decision. I was wrong. I was treated with respect and dignity. It is often challenging for me to build rapport with someone when I feel skeptical of peoples intentions. However, building rapport with Brian was easy because I knew I could trust him. From the beginning, he showed interest in my needs and made me feel heard. He was honest and I knew the advice he was giving me was in my best interest versus him making a sale. He wanted me to drive off the lot, whether it be with his dealership or another, feeling happy and excited to drive my new car. I was never inundated with impersonal emails and phone calls like I was from other dealerships and salesmen. In summary, dont waste your time elsewhere: go to Gengras and work with Brian.

Gengras is great I will not buy another Volvo from anywhere else my car was deemed totaled Oct 12 I went on line to Gengras E.H they had some I liked got there Tuesday to check them out they was sold out of the ones I seen . So the next day when I got home 🏡 I check online to the north Haven loc and they had two. I texted Jeff he told me one was sold got me a salesperson Nate which he emailed forms which I seen later in the day I sent them back late in the day and Gengras went to work for me IE Nate and Jeff got approved we went to verify we would love the car 10/17 and me n my wife loved it got called 10/19/20 was told I can pick up next day. Nate was off but Derick Severini took me home made me very comfortable and explained everything I need to know and a little more they deserve a 10 star oh by the way another salesman was there Saturday seen me once and today when he seen me I got a nice to see u again Mr.Williams

Would recommend this dealership 100%. Very honest and straight forward. We dealt with Michael Ferris - really nice, outgoing guy. Customer service was far superior than other places I’ve been. There were a few glitches along the way (that were completely 100% my fault) but they were so understanding and went out of their way to accommodate and help us. Service staff are also excellent. Richard Lewis was there when I bought my first Volvo. Hes the reason I kept going back to service my 2008, which had 176K+ miles when I traded it in. Besides the excellent care and friendly attention he gave me, he never tried to up sell. Seriously, if you havent checked out Gengras Volvo North Haven, youre missing out! We wanted to share how positive our experience was working with Gengras Volvo North Haven. Our old Ford Escape died. We had run it as far as it would go. We liked the Escape and the model was certainly on the list of potential (used) replacements. They had advertised an Escape that met every option we were looking for. Plus, its ad was at an extremely aggressive price. We made an appointment, the car was ready for test drive. Due to some previous experience we let them know we didnt want the shell game that would be the out the door price we had experienced at other dealerships. We also had other appointments later that day and let them know we wanted to check everyone out before making a decision. No Problem was the response. The car was in great shape and drive like we hoped. We met with our sales rep, Mike Ferris, and their sales manager to get an out the door quote. The price was exactly like the mental math would give you. Advertised price, plus taxes and dealer prep. PLUS, they even knocked a few hundred off the quote, even though there was no need to given the screaming deal price it was posted at. No pressure, take the quote and call us with any questions, well honor it.Later in the day we knew this was the best deal and liked the way we were treated and put a deposit down. When we went to pick up the car we had financed through one of their partner banks. It was a smooth process and the interest rate was great. We were asked about extended warranty. Again, no pressure, just presented the option. We actually went with it given a review of the coverage and minimal cost.Heres where they really separated themselves from the pack though. When we picked up the car, we would told the back up camera view was upside down. They would fix it when the part came in. (upside down camera view is really goofy to look at). Our salesman came to our house, (more than once for this) to pick up the car to take it for the next day to have this fixed. They gave us a loaner car till they returned. This on a Sunday night. And we live 40 miles away! They even used some of the touch up paint we bought to fill in a couple scratches. (we knew were there) All for no charge! I would highly recommend Mike as a salesperson. No pressure, extremely customer focused and very kind person. His office is filled with rewards and its easy to see why. Weve been meaning to give a review given how this type of service should be posted.

Chris Coriano was the best to work with. We live in NY and saw the exact car we wanted at a nearby dealership and Chris was able to transfer it for us and work up an amazing deal. Definitely recommend giving Gengras a call if you’re in the market for a Volva, and Ask for Chris!

The Gengras team was nothing short of great!! Starting with Michael Ferris, my sales expert. I called one day asking him if they had the version of the car I wanted - and they didnt, so I wasnt expecting a call back. They ended up getting the car AND color I wanted on their lot literally the next day, and Michael followed up to let me know. This was 10 days ago. I drove home in my new car today! The entire purchase process was fair, no-pressure, and quite frankly painless. Other Volvo dealers (in CT, NY, & NJ) could learn a thing or two from the staff at Gengras. This is the 1st Volvo Ive ever owned (its gently used) and I have brought it in for a few issues to be fixed as it was still under factory warranty. The staff at this location were unbelievably friendly and professional and took care of every issue I had and even did a few things I did not know was wrong with the car. I did not have to pay a cent for these issues and was always given a loaner car so I was not without a vehicle. The people I have met in the service department as well as the main receptionist have always been so welcoming and kind to me. I am so proud to be a Volvo owner and am absolutely in love with my XC90 and it feels so good to know that I have a dealership I can trust to bring my car to with any issue I have!! I highly recommend Gengras Volvo.

I recently purchase a Volvo XC-40 from Gengras Volvo Cars in North Haven. I was very pleased with the attention I received in making this purchase. From my initial contact with the internet specialist, Kathryn DAlessandro to the salesmen Brian Langley and the business manager Derek Severini, I found the staff professional, responsive and helpful. The folks who delivered my car to me (I did all of the purchase from a distance) were polite, timely and helpful. And, I spent an hour getting a thorough tour of my new car, virtually, from Keilany Fonseca who was patient with me and knowledgeable about the car. I was on the fence about whether I wanted a new car or not, so we made an appointment for a test drive. Brian Langley was very helpful and so patient with our questions, especially mine as I can be a little quirky with my preferences. In the end we decided to proceed that day and two days later was driving home my new XC 40! The whole crew that helped us - Brian, Jerome, CJ, and Derrick were professional AND friendly which is a rare combination these days.

Although I did not purchase here, I want to publicly thank the staff at Gengras Volvo Cars of North Haven. The specific S60 I wanted was not available within their Inventory, but Jeff, the Sales Manager, had gone out of his way to locate cars across the country in the exact spec I had wanted; all of which were either over 1,000 miles away and too expensive to ship, or cars at locations which do not do swaps with surrounding dealers. He assisted in providing the locations of each car, as well as the respective dealers. Even after knowing I would not be purchasing from them, Jeff continued to assist and check in to make sure I was able to locate the Volvo *I* wanted, not the Volvo they wanted to sell me, competing dealership or not. Not once did I ever feel as though a sale to them is just another number in their monthly report.The entire staff is always friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The space is comfortable, clean, and accommodating. Overall, a much different experience from any other dealer and brand I have dealt with. Zero pressure in purchasing whatsoever. I bought my car from the Meriden dealership in 2016 which was totally outstanding and the following year the North Haven location opened and thats where Ive been getting this additional exceptional service. Each year I get a phone call from the man who sold me the vehicle, Michael Ferris. Thanks Michael for remembering. Ive had different service managers every year when I service my car. Ive been treated courteously, professionally and will continue to use them each year when that time rolls around for my car to be serviced. Never long waits, always checking in to make sure Im satisfied, and of course-5 star treatment. They honored their coupons (from Gengras) and coupons sent to me by Volvo, the manufacturer of the car! The Gengras Volvo staff was very pleasant, and when I made the purchase I accidentally left my Credit Card at the dealership. One of the staff members really went out of her way; and delivered the Credit Card right to my home in Waterbury. I was more than impressed!Also, we are very happy with the car. My 7 year old son loves the car so much that he doesnt even want to ride in either of our other 2 cars anymore.
