They are exceptional! Rented bikes for 2 weeks and they were very accommodating. Even gave us a lock, baskets, and helmets. Dropped them off and picked them up so didnt have to even worry about that! Great prices and so happy!

The sweetest lady helped us! We called and they delivered! We needed one umbrella after we broke two of our own in the NMB wind. Their umbrellas are user friendly and saved our trip! I will be using them again for sure! They are life savers and very kind! Reasonable prices too!

We rented a crib for our recent vacation in Myrtle beach. We have a 2 year old who we do not cosleep with and I’m so happy we found this option! They delivered the crib in a timely manner and communication was good! The crib was sturdy & safe. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely rent again for a vacation! The only reason I didn’t rate it 5 stars is because the mattress could be softer but my toddler didn’t seem to mind at all!

I don’t review a lot of companies but felt inspired to because of the great service I always receive from North Strand Beach Services. I rent bikes from them every summer. We’re not big customers—a few bikes per week—but they always go out of their way to accommodate us, even if they’re feeling crunched. Dealing with them feels personal, and I appreciate that. I’d pay a premium for that, but they keep their prices low.

Great company to deal with. We rented a lot of beach equipment and a crib for our week long stay. Saved tremendous amount of precious room in our vehicle for the drive down. When placing order, they were very helpful in recommending carts to take equipment back and forth to the beach and the umbrella spikes. All the equipment was in good condition and did the job. Flexible on last day to give extra hour on the beach before pick-up. Very convenient drop off and pick up at our rental house. Cost was also extremely reasonable. Highly recommended for North Myrtle and will use again on next trip.

North Strand Beach Service is AMAZING!!!!! They are so kind, helpful, and accommodating. We needed a wheelchair for my grandpa on such short notice. We had one delivered within the hour!!! I can’t say enough good things about this service. I am so impressed. Highly recommend.

The bikes were in great condition, and we enjoyed riding them. The cribs were perfect, and the little ones on our trip slept great in them- well worth the money. The high chair was so comfy the baby actually fell asleep in it once (a first!). The chairs were nice Tommy Bahamas in great shape. The umbrellas worked great (even though we didn’t realize they had provided the helpful white screw in bases to put the posts in!). A great experience- will definitely use again.

Rented four bikes for a week while staying at Barefoot Resort, Myrtle Beach. Ordered and paid online. Bikes had been delivered and locked up on the bike rack ready for when we arrived. They sent a code via text to unlock. Great price. Great service. We would gladly use again.

Great service and very friendly people! This is our second year using this company for renting 4 beach umbrellas and both years the process has been easy and done right the first time. We love being able to set the sturdy (very wind tolerant) but light weight umbrellas up when, where and how we wanted them and the Mikes Spikes made it doable for me, an over 60 year old woman (my sons did it most times though). We will definitely use them again next year for our Cherry Grove vacation.

Fantastic service and wonderful staff! Originally we rented 2 bikes and an umbrella. When we got to the condo and saw the owners beach chairs we knew we needed different chairs. Do not rent from anyone else! After a mix up where this company could have easily tried to place the blame on us, they didnt. They were kind during the entire process and made sure to restate how much we did everything we could and they would figure it out, which is HUGE! Especially driving home on an 8hour drive with three kids! The beach wagon we rented is a MUST HAVE. Such good quality. Lisa is amazing and made the experience painless. I just wish nothing wouldve been hard on them, although they couldnt have handled it more gracefully. Nothing but the most respect for this company and will not rent from another company from here on out. Thanks for helping us have the best vacation and not placing blame on us as soon as there was a question.

Perfect week thanks to North Strand Rentals. Rented an umbrella and 2 Tommy Bahama beach chairs for $65, compared to NMB city @ $150. They were delivered on Sat and picked up on Friday. Set up and take down took 5 minutes. I stored everything in my KIA all week. The chairs had built in coolers and a zipper pouch for storage. I had 4 people ask where I got those nice chairs. What a great business! During Easter I traveled with my extended family to Cherry Grove Beach. There were two babies in our group, and North Strand was a lifesaver. From saving us the hassle of bringing our own Pack n Plays and having everything in the unit before we arrived :-) awesome!

We had a big family vacation in north Myrtle beach this summer 32 of us and I went with this not so great company, when my other family members went with another better one. Learned a lesson there. The lady is ok while placing the order after that, well if you use them you will find out, if you choose to use them. Hopefully you dont.So because I was so disappointed with their equipment and service, I started looking into them and their reviews, and several of them are fake like Kimberly Giancani 6 reviews all at the same time, at Myrtle beach and only then did she decide to make a Google account to say little to nothing about 5 reviews then a paragraph about North Strand. Same with Meg Lopar and she was staying at one of the nicest resorts at the beach, gives then 8 little word review and that place is 1st class, but then North Strand gets another paragraph review, I can go on with Sandy Ribbins, G. Hart etc. All is what Im saying is watch out for this company.. Choose who you do but next year we will not use them! The lady will also ask you what other people quoted you, instead of just being a good business and having their prices what they are. Its the beach I guess you should expect sharks!Thank you for your sorry, but to your response. No matter what denial you offer, fact remains do you or dont you ask your competitors quote? And Im sure anybody that has dealt with your company that is reading this, will know this as true. The that fact that I know it, is that I dealt with your company. But thank you for your denial and blaming others. And I like your 2 new 5 stars reviews since leaving my review at exactly the same time. Its also funny how the names I mentioned earlier never left another review after leaving one for you. Im done and I am sorry that our experience was not good and the only response I got was denial and blaming.

We rented beach umbrellas and a high chair with only a days notice. They were prompt and professional. FREE delivery right to putt condo complex. The cost was a third of what North Myrtle Beach charges. Well use them again!

I learned about NSBS from a Tripadvisor forum regarding umbrella and beach chair rentals. I rented an umbrella and 2 Tommy Bahama chairs online ahead of time to ensure availability and they were delivered to the office of our gated community on our arrival date and picked up from the same place on our departure date. During our stay, we stored the equipment in our car when not in use. Sure, you have to set it up yourself but it was worth the money you save from renting from other companies/lifeguards (I had called around to compare prices). We didnt know how to set up the umbrella in the sand, but Lisa talked us through it and it was a cinch. It took less than 5 minutes and was very sturdy for those windy days. The chairs were great with a built-in mini pillow, pockets to store phone and misc items as well as a mini cooler. Plus, the chairs had backpack straps for easy carrying. We received several comments about how nice the chairs were. Lisa was great! She was always available to answer my questions. She even called back when I called the store after hours but didnt leave a message...just because she wanted to make sure I wasnt having any problems. You will not regret your decision to rent from NSBS!

I spent 3 summers working for NSBS and they are a top of the line company in NMB with very caring owners who pride themselves in customer service and giving everyone the best beach experience possible.

Great price and easy to work with - called the day before our arrival and they delivered everything we needed on time! There are other much more expensive options on the beach and maybe they have newer bikes but for the price and service you cannot beat North Strand.

RENT ELSEWHERE. Upon the advice of our vacation home rental company we called NSBS. Over the phone, and in absence of ANY WRITTEN RENTAL AGREEMENT, OR confirmatory email OR document, we secured several hundred dollars of equipment for our large family beach week. The entire transaction was completed by a phone call and text messages that only provided information on how to unlock the TWO locks that NSBS had used to tie ALL of our equipment together for house delivery prior to our arrival. On Thursday morning of our Saturday to Saturday vacation, we realized that one of the 4 bikes we rented had been stolen from underneath our secured rental home. I immediately contacted Lisa of NSBS and advised of the same. Lisa advised that North Strand did not carry insurance on their equipment and demanded that we replace the bike. After about 3 hours of dealing with Lisas threats over the phone to charge our credit card for the full amount of a new bike, and then dear Lisa and some man in person when she showed up at our rental home with the NMB police department in effort to take some kind of action against us??? (which of course did not happen), we were able to resume our vacation. In sum, even if you have to buy everything upon arrival and leave it upon departure, any alternative to doing business with this company will be the right decision.
