Went in looking for a crescent shaped tambourine and came out with exactly what I wanted. Very pleased. People were very helpful.
We love this place! Even though it’s name is Guitar Center it offers so much more for the music lovers than just guitars. The selection of equipment and instruments is excellent. They offer parts and services as part of awesome bundle. They have more guitars in different styles, finishes, and designs, than I have found in many places. If you are interested in the DJ world, for business or pleasure they have everything you could ever need. The percussion selection is huge and goes from hippie hand drums all the way to high end digital equipment. The employees are always friendly and helpful with any questions you have. Plenty of parking available and handicap accessible. Highly recommended for any music lovers that are looking for new or used equipment.
It can be hard to find a store associate to get help from or ask questions, and some departments had no employees even around. The employees generally are friendly and helpful when you do have an interaction, though. The stock is limited compared to years ago, but there is still enough of a selection to make it worth going. Its a good place to browse and try equipment before making a decision to buy.
Customer service nonexistent. Had decent yet opinionated experiences in the past. Waited around for 10 minutes with a wild toddler in the drum section. Only perk is the option to play around with displays, makes decent temporary sitter. Had to walk behind drum counter myself to get what I needed. Had questions but nobody came. Staff was too busy chit chatting at front desk. O, and they were out of bags, no big deal most of the time but it was the cherry on top of this experience. Shop online.
Awesome place and helpful staff. Went there a few times before recently signing my daughter up for guitar lessons. Each time the staff was patient and very informative even on just browsing around looking at things with little intention on buying. When we signed our daughter up for lessons the guy that checked us in was very cool in getting her settled and calm seeing as she was super nervous.
Brandon was very helpful and kind. Helped me find what I needed very quickly. Great service. Will definitely be back!!
Tom was so friendly and super knowledgeable. He explained all the parts of the guitar and what they did in a way we could understand. He made buying my daughter’s first guitar a great experience. I would highly recommend guitar center and ask for Tom if you have any questions. He would be a great resource for beginners and experienced players alike.
Amazing selection. (I go there to see just how oddball some of their items really get....They had a Rickenbacker 360/12! Aka:George Harrison of the Beatles 12 string electric guitar! That is rare as all get out,But for $3200,It should be. Still unexpected. ) Prices are great and I got me a sweet Jackson 4 string bass and their used gear is great. Give em a shot!
Always prompt professional service to answer all questions and to give quality advice ...this place is a dream come true for musicians and nonmusicians to just hang out and enjoy the music and guitars all around the place...highly recommended...you will thank me later
Thought they would have more merchandise, but still fair enough and prices are decent.
Best place ever. Friendly staff and great people to talk to if you know nothing about instruments, or if you know a great deal about them. All around a great place and would recommend to everyone I can! Rock on!
From various (types of) musical instruments, to musical equipment, to servicing both those categories, this place is the candy store for musicians, who can try out the specific items theyre interested in purchasing while there! The staff is incredibly helpful, knowledgeable & pleasant to work with! Ive been there frequently lately & theyve come through for me each time!Conrad Hornung
They claim to price match but once they have you in there the tune changes. Lots of rhetoric about availability, stock, vendor, new model, ect.. You do or you dont, did not appreciate the waste of my time
Kind of bare walls for basses but that’s not unusual post COVID. They are staffed and can handle crowds on the weekends which is a plus. Overall good store.
Great management from Veronica Justin and Don! Good job keep up the good work!
Its always a relaxed, no pressure, atmosphere. Their selection of guitars is amazing, and my boyfriend always enjoys himself while trying out a few drum sets on display.
I recently drove an hour to this Guitar Center as they were the only store that had a particular guitar I wanted in stock. A new 2020 Epiphone Les Paul Custom, Limited Edition Silverburst. What I didnt realize was that when buying a NEW guitar that they just hand you a model thats been hanging on the wall. No box, no warranty card, no documents, nothing. It was just here ya go.Im not saying the service was bad, but they just didnt seem to care one way or the other.Luckily, the guitar was OK, but I paid for a new guitar and got a floor demo.
I left my guitar for repair, staff gave me bill for $30to pay it next day as picking up. When I came to pick it up, another staff asked$69. I asked the reason for extra $39, since receipt was asking $30.He change it to $39.99. I asked the reason for extra $9.99. He said they will charge $34.99.😳!The place looks nice but it is worthless with it’s staff.
Friendly staff and nice location with competitive pricing.Great online service and fast delivery.
I got a great guitar at a fair price. The salesman was Quite the SALESman....and almost lost me- but Id already chosen my pick
Brandon is great with customer service and his wealth of knowledge of the product.
Reasonably good selection of products in stock. Moderately quick service if you need to get in and out fast.
Terrible terrible terrible terrible service I have a hard time even doing one star. Stay away give your hard-earned money to some other business.
The staff here was beyond friendly and attentive. My son recently got a guitar for Christmas, and the service members instilled a passion in him for music that Ive never witnessed before. I wish I remembered the staff members name that helped us, because he deserves individual notations, but I will end this post by saying I have never been more pleased with a retail stores customer service.
The biggest one in the locality. My purchases have always been hassle free
Knowledgeable Staff. Reat Accessories.. Nice lighting system. D.J. Scotty B🎵 🎶
Very helpful and knowledgeable folks! Its great to work with other musicians when Im trying to make good decisions!
Guitar has good customer service. They are very friendly.
Ok store. The layout is somewhat warehouse-like and too many items have to be backordered. Good location. Ample parking with wheelchair accessibility.
Fantastic staff met a competitors price no questions asked.Lots of equipment in this store i travel allot and every location i go to i drop in The Guitar Center this one is one of my favorites.
Staff are sometimes great, sometimes very not-my-job-ish. Fair enough, guitar center has a bad rep for a reason. Try in store, order on reverb is my advice for any one in the music market.
Only half stocked. The customer service wasnt great. High prices. The selection was okay. Good quality products
Great selection of guitars for any type player at really competitive prices. Anything youll need for your band or anything you need to sit home and play for yourself.. The place is clean and the staff are helpful and usually pretty friendly.. I just bought a Epiphone SG pro series from them and I couldnt be happier with the quality, the price and how great it sounds with my 25W Fender Amp I got to play it through! Epiphone is starting to give Gibson a run for their money... sounds almost as good as a Gibson SG for a 1/3 the price! If your looking for a guitar or bass or sound equipment youll definitely find what you want here..
I enjoyed my trip to guitar center. I was in need of 3-pin XLR audio cables and had a difficult time finding them at first. They were somewhat busy when I had arrived, but noticed me wandering around.Once they took notice, they promptly addressed me and provided me with some much needed assistance. We spoke for a short bit about cabling and my needs, then went took off from there. If I am ever in need of audio cabling and am in town, this will be the first place I go!
I am a first time guitar player so I went to this store. I waited for 5 mins then went searching for a sales rep to help me. I told the sales rep I didnt know if I was a left handed or right handed player. I was given a right handed guitar. Shortly after purchase (beyond the 45 day period) I realized I am a left handed player. I called the store. Their offer.... 10% discount on a new guitar and anywhere from $51 - $75 bucks for trade in value... i told them to pound salt. My guitar is in pristine condition and was bought for $230. Wheres the customer experience??? smh, no wonder theyre closing stores.... its a shame,
Great shop full of knowledgeable folks
First time picking up a guitar, amp, picks and cable, very informative about amps and directed me to a good starter one that wont hurt my wallet got a Jackson electric guitar and a acoustic Amp very happy with my buy all I need is practice now.
Very informative. Willing to deal.
Workers were great. Knew their stuff
Incredibly short-staffed. Decent selection for a guitar center. However, it is difficult to find what you want.
Theyre pretty knowledgeable they helped me with bass strings and gauge my truss rod. Prices are okay but I think theyre the Walmart music stores
Great store but not a lot of used items for me as a DJ. They were trying to be helpful but didnt have a lot of knowledge in that department either. All around good experience but I hope they step up their DJ game.
I had never been here before and went to do some shopping with my other half. I was impressed with the selection. They had things I didnt even know existed and I have a background in classical music hahaha
Love it there, good service and great staff
Its a great place to get what you need for your instruments. Right now they have limited items do to covid-19.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Helped pick out a guitar for my son who is just starting out on the musical road.Would definitely go back for future guitar needs. As a side note, they also do percussion and keyboard.
Guitar accessories are nice and readily available. Only thing is their string winders are marked up about $5 more than average but overall good deals
Had ordered a used guitar pedal online from guitar center that was suppose to be shipped out to me an issue was generated and my package was shipped to a different customer...That Customer was super awsome and took that to their local guitar center this one in north olmsted ohio...When it arrived into the store the sales rep veronica immediately called me and let me know of the situation and that she would be working with her managers justin and matt...Needless to say what could have turned in to multiple calls with guitar center online support turned into a plesent mistake and the package arrived the same day the original shipment was suppose to 👍
Very knowledgeable and friendly
Good place for instruments and sutch but they need to restock their bass and guitar sections
Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly without being obnoxious. Refreshing! Great crew at this location
They lost an $1100 dollar sale because they couldnt be bothered to help me. I wanted to try out a Gibson Explorer they had on their wall and no everyone just ignored me. I really wanted to purchase that guitar too. Ill go to Sam Ash or order from Sweetwater.
Horrible recent service. Assistant Manager Justin was the go-between between myself and the General Manager as I at first he was on dinner break and after that he never returned my call as I was told he would. I was bounced back and forth between phone and store service. Phone service was also lacking as a call was dropped and the next rep I got wouldn’t call the store to verify what the previous phone rep said. He insisted the previous rep would have put it in the notes. She did not and when I called the store I found out I was 100% correct. He, just like the Assistant Manager doubted my story regarding some store credits. My account notes, once found from 2016 when I was repeatedly told I last purchased in 2002 showed exactly what I was talking about. During conversations I was repeatedly told, even if my credits were there, that they probably won’t be honored because it’s been too long...despite the fact that they have no expiration date and the manager who put them on my account in the first place assured me of that and said it was also a courtesy for going through the hassle in the first place (this credit was in place of GC Bucks that never got sent in the mail after a purchase). Another GC mess up.Since the General Manager couldn’t be bothered to call me back I was told this by the Assistant Manager when I followed up.On my last call I asked for the home office name and address. I was incorrectly given the number and address to another state, where the home office wasn’t even located...so I’ll assume that the false one was given to me on purpose. Either that or GC employees don’t know where their HQ is.That mistake actually turned out to be the only blessing in this story. I called the number given to me and since it was another store and I explained to them I was expecting the home office and could they give me that info, they asked if they could help. Sure enough they verified my story in less than 5 minutes and put my on hold for approval to go right ahead and honor my credits immediately! They repeatedly told me I never should have had this problem from the initial sale of the item that earned me the GC Bucks and that I certainly shouldn’t have went through what I did to have to get the credit. It all should have been no problem. Indeed it was quick and easy with them and they even placed the order for me in which I used the credits and actually spent more on top of it!I’ve had other times where I tried to special order items from this local store and was continually told I’d be called back and I just gave up. No wonder GC is struggling financially....and to treat someone this way, especially in these hard times is shameful. Not even a returned phone call to let me know they wouldn’t do what was right.I’ll be sure to leave a positive review for the out of state store as I want that employee to be recognized.
Great selection and very helpful crew.
The guys at the store, Matt and Dom, took really great care of us. This store has great selection. The staff goes out of their way to help you. They have great knowledge of the equipment they sell. 0% deals going on now, and they price match. Really no better place to go no matter what musical gear you need.
Good selection of instruments. As a pianist its a little lacking. Mostly beginner level books. I was hoping to find more advanced material.
Not the friendly to blacks. Customer service was ignore me and advoiding eye contact . Me and my boyfriend were not greeted by anyone when we walked in. I didnt even know all those people in there were workers. I felt so uncomfortable in there . Some white customers walk in and was looking at drums too and then I heard all the greeting and do you need help to them . I asked my bf to leave but he wasnt leaving until we purchased the items for Christmas. I loved the store however I never return to this business due to your staff being unhospitale towards blacks. They seem just as uncomfortable as me sadly. Not professional or good for business
I inquired about a Martin D28 12 string which they didn’t have but could order. Fair enough, but let me play a D28 6 string to get a feel for a D28 before ordering. The high end guitars were locked so I had to ask. The sales associate lead me away from the high end guitars and handed me a $500 Martin. I think made in Mexico or somewhere. I looked down not believing they’re handing me the cheapest Martin after I asked to play to the expensive one. Since then I bought a Gibson Hummingbird from Sam Ash and a Taylor 562 from Sweetwater. Keep your nice guitars locked up and away from potential buyers.
Great place.Very helpfulAwesome staff
Really organized and clean, all of the workers are so kind, helpful and patient. They have everything from percussion and keyboards to electric guitars and ukuleles! They also carry a variety of different supplies for instruments. We visited twice, once to look at the ukes and the second time to get our guitar stringed(21$)They even cleaned the guitar and made it look all nice~
Very friendly and helpful staff. Reasonable prices.
Very friendly & helpful
Ive been going to GC since way back in the day and theyre always Awesome!
Its funny seeing places transition from being big corporate retail that is putting local stores out of business to a sort of local joint themselves.
Im shopping from home and still getting an great shopping experience.Even when purchase of used gear is not what you expected, guitar center gave me a long return period.. so I could return my guitar if it wasnt right.Justin the manager at North Olmsted took the time to talk to me and and made sure I was happy in my purchase.Steven in the guitar department at a different location, was awesome and help me find the right guitar and I paid for it all at the same time. she checked it out made sure it was in good condition and then got it into the warehouse and off the floor to make sure it was ready to ship.I recommend guitar center long return period and huge selection of used gear.
Overall pleasant, non aggressive salespeople
Dude with the toy story sleeves had awesome customer service, no stores had the pick up I was after but ge was on it trying to locate one, awesome service
I really have nothing to compare this visit to since I want to learn to play. The sales guy was helpful but since he sold me the floor model, I later thought he should have given me a discount.
The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Put up with a gray-haired dude plugging into an amp and jamming some Neil Young tunes. Even let me use a tuner!
Great place. Very helpful.
Great store. Just not a huge selection of certain guitars. They carry ESP but hardly any there. More the usual overpriced Gibson and a lot of Fenders Nice to see some high quality Prs guitars in person though. Amp selection isnt all that huge. Need to carry more of the higher end amps, but I guess thats what the website is for. Sales people arent pushy. If you trade something they dont horribly screw you like some smaller guitar shops. Nice selection of picks, strings, tab books and accessories. Never buy one of the instruments off the wall, who knows who has played them, even the expensive ones. Try it out then order online. Unless you dont mind some marks and want to talk the price down. I only play guitar so cant speak for the drums, basses, or keyboard stuff. Very nice room with acoustic guitars too. Overall very good store
Michael is stellar at this store North Olmsted...listens before trying to sell not one bit pushy doesnt hover over you.... while you looking at gear.... very knowledgeable in percussion and guitars....also pa equipment.I love my Les Paul.....he sold me.... very good experience.....he let me rip it for almost a half hour to make sure it was the wright one.
WOW WHAT A AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! We came in with our daughter who wanted to learn to play electric guitar. All of us were basically clueless about guitars. John was taking care of us. He greeted us immediately and jumped to help. He spent a long time with us, didnt rush or pressure us. He even played a couple guitars for us to show us sound quality difference. He guided us along and we left with a new guitar and all the accessories. This place is just awesome and John definitely has the passion for his job. THANKS
I went to try and sell my guitar. I knew that I wouldnt get much for it, but the employee was very rude. He was making fun of me and talking down on me. He couldve been a bit nicer and professional about it.
Sadly, we paid for a new keyboard but received a floor model that was missing the adaptor and software. we re presently waiting for the exchange which is backordered. no one apologized for the inconvenience and somehow there is an extra $20.00 tacked on. Very disappointed.
So very helpful
Service is always slow here. Had been for years
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff
Good selection of instruments and the prices are fair.
Excellent experience! Brian helped us with our trade-ins. The offer was beyond fair, he was courteous, efficient and extremely helpful. Offered to get the next guitar ordered in for us at a discount, then gave the remaining money back to us in cash. Very positive experience. Brian is truly an asset to the company.
I purchased my boyfriend a bass guitar for his birthday. He was extremely happy. Im very happy with my purchase. There are so many options to pick from. They have a very nice set up, they have guitar lessons and youre allowed to test them out.
These guys stepped up. Theyve all got masks on during the pandemic, and then will not let you enter the building unless youre being smart, too. Cheers to Guitar Center.
Very helpful up until sale completed, no help loading keyboard into vebicle.
They have all the toys for all the big girls and boys its good place to go if youre looking for musical instruments
Staff have been patient and understanding with returns.
Great staff, knowledgeable and courteous.
Everyone working here was very friendly and helpful. They knew there stuff! Encouraging us to try items before purchasing and no pressure like following you around like a car salesman. Lol We did purchase items here and were not disappointed. Great experience.
Some knowledgeable staff, but when more than 4 customers are in the store youre not getting helped in a timely manner. Many employees are more focused on playing the guitars loudly behind the counter rather than helping the customers. As an already knowledgeable guitarist I dont necessarily need help finding what I want but when it takes upwards of 45 minutes to be rung up for a set of strings, something is incredibly wrong.
Tow or three of the guys here are nice. But every time i go here I wind up with someone pushy and unhelpful. I’ve been going here for years since they clearly have a monopoly on Cleveland west side instrument scene. I also get frustrated with the fact that every time I ask about getting instruments or amps serviced they always tell me they don’t have time for me and send me somewhere else. Deeply frustrating and makes it feel like my money isn’t worth their time.
Guitar Center is a great place for novice and experienced musicians and sound engineers to get a hand on and try different instruments and equipment. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. That being said, I do not purchase instruments from Guitar Center. The items I purchase are strings, cables, *new* pedals, and cases. Safe items to purchase anywhere. Instruments, in my experience, are better purchased second hand. Ordering a new G&L Tribute bass turned into nearly 5 trips to local repair shops in order to get the bass set up, neck aligned, and pick-ups tweaked. If I had that exact bass in my hands before purchase, I wouldnt have thought about pulling the trigger.
I mean its a guitar center so of course it ROCKS (pun intended) yeah the place is one of my favorite stores. You can play everything. Customer service is great. They dont follow you around so you can just try everything. Sometomes I just go in there to mess around and experiment. Prices are good. And they have a good selection of things. Every guitar string you could want too. They give lessons now and they do repairs. Go check em out.
Good people
Been in this establishment only once and that was to get picks, a capo and guitar strings. The workers there are very approachable and helpful they helped me right when I walked in the door actually which is crazy. All in all great experience I’m hoping to buy a guitar from here soon.
My husband and I were looking for a drum set for our son. We were greeted upon entering the store. We walked back to the drum center. We walked around for about 10 minutes. During that time we saw three employees walk around and some were even behind the counter. However, no one offered assistance.
My family is musical and they enjoy every part of the store. And they give the space that you need to see what would like to purchase. And the workers are very helpful!
Very good and pleasant staff; they take care of you on the spot, no questions asked.
