I had a great car buying experience at Autohaus on Edens Mercedes-Benz in Northbrook, IL. I live in Northern Virginia (suburban DC) and have been scouring all the car buying sites for the past few months for a 2018 or 2019 CPO Mercedes-Benz E300 for my wife. I found this well-equipped beauty with a flawless Carfax, fewer than 15,000 miles, and one of the lowest prices on the Internet (2019 CPO for $5-6K less than 2018 CPOs with many more miles in the DC, Philadelphia, and NYC areas). I sent a cars.com inquiry late last Sunday night and received a full info packet on the car (whose price had been reduced from the initial advertised price) from salesman Kevin Abraham the next morning.From that point forward, Kevin was the model of professional, responsive customer service. He answered every question promptly, sent me a video of the car, and contacted me as soon as the shipper picked it up. After it was shipped, Kevin followed up to make sure my wife and I were satisfied with our car upon delivery. Finance manager Ricky Pena was also very helpful and professional, overnighting all the documents back and forth to expedite the deal. When we received our car yesterday, it was a new two-year old car - even nicer and cleaner than I expected. Finally, Autohaus extra fees, especially for a long-distance purchase, were minimal at $333.60. Several other dealers I dealt with were tacking on up to $1,200 onto the price for document preparation and other profit-generating charges.On balance, even though Autohaus is 700 miles away from us, their fair prices and exceptional customer service will make me check their inventory the next time Im in the market for a CPO Mercedes-Benz. I visited Autohaus service center today just for a new tire replacement. I was greeted by a friendly service representative who wore a face mask in consideration of the customer. I truly appreciated that. The lobby and service area was clean and had safety measures which made me feel secure while waiting for my car while they worked on it. I was sent constant text msgs on the status of my vehicle repair. The wait time was reasonable and my car was returned to me washed. I was overall satisfied with the customer service given to me and the care performed on my car.

Bought an oil filter from their dealership and they gave me the wrong washer. I gave them the make, model and VIN # for my vehicle and they still could not get it right. Not sure if I would ever bring my car there for service.

Check out process was the worst Ive ever seen not only at the MB dealership, but in general.It took 45 minutes to figure out the correct amount and if I didnt check numbers (3 times!) I would be overcharged over $1000.In a past I had no issues

That is how Edens Mercedes fix lights. Went there for lights issues 2 times and just couple days after service the lights are out again. Called them today and was promised to receive a call back but it never happened. Terrible service and terrible customer service. Shame on Mercedes manufacturers and shame on Edens Mercedes service department!!!
Alex Giokaris was great! Let me explain..From the time I inquired about the vehicle to the time of purchase it was an enjoyable experience. Working at a Mercedes dealership in the past I wasn’t sure what to expect.However, when I walked into the dealership, Alex greeted me and asked me if I would like a beverage. He then proceeded to make sure the people that I was with were comfortable and if they had any questions. We then proceeded to the test drive. The car looked in great condition and I didn’t notice any noticeable damages which was a huge plus! On the test drive he allowed me to drive and was able to answer any questions that I had on the vehicle while listening to Hip-Hop (Which was my preferred choice of music).Once we made our way back to the dealership, Alex didn’t pressure me to buy the vehicle but more importantly asked if I liked the car that I drove. I responded with telling him that I am ready to see numbers on the OTD price. I had a price in mind and wasn’t really willing to move much on that price. Long and behold, they were able to accommodate what I was asking for and we were able to get the deal done in less than an hour and a half.Additionally, Damien the Finance Manager was great as well! He was very professional and made me feel comfortable while discussing my car contract. I didn’t know what to expect entering his office but it exceeded all of my expectations. My interest rate was low and he explained my contract in full detail without pressuring me to buy items he knew I wouldn’t be interested in.Overall, It was a very smooth, transparent, and easy process. I purchased my E350 from Autohaus years ago. Ive been going to them for service since. Due to this, my vehicle performs like its still new (even though I bought it pre-owned). The service managers -- Eddie and Tom -- specifically are truly professionals. They provide comprehensive assessment of what needs to get done, but are not pushy. They explain what are the most critical things to get done and advice on what/when other services should be done. Of course, the service that they do are always very good and address the issues, so kudos to the service technicians as well.
I had a very bad service experience at this dealer and will never come here for car maintenance, it happened twice. I went there for Service B and they broke tire pressure monitor (TPM), it stopped displaying individual tire air pressure, I came back two times and also had to struggle to convince them that they broke it after they did tire rotation. They fixed it but the moment I left dealer after couple of miles it stopped again and they asked me to drive for a day or so and it will start working again but it didn’t, then I came back 3rd time and the service advisor (Prem Parikh) still didn’t take the responsibility and started asking for money this time that we may have to re-program it blah blah and you might need to pay - that was shocking and I told him no I am not going to pay for something that you guys broke so you got a fix it…this time they fixed it but now it just shows tire pressure values but no longer alerts me if pressure is lower than the set default values.2nd terrible experience when I came to this dealer for brake pads & rotors replacement, they replaced front pads & rotors with new ones but after couple of days I started getting loud squeak noise from right front, it was very annoying and loud noise when I break. I went back and explained to Prem, they kept the car and told me they fixed the noise issue, next day noise was still there so again they asked me to bring the car and this time they did something again and told me fixed the noise. After two days noise was still there and now it’s started getting very frustrating the time and effort I had to put going back and forth when I paid them to put new genuine brake pads and rotors, I went back after few days to pick the car and I was calling them before pickup and every time Prem was confirming noise is fixed and also tested it but it was not. Now I took my car there for the 5th time in a row and the same month, this time I talked to their service manager (Ken Dunaway) and explained him this is what happening here with me and I’m so tired of this and see if you guys can really fix this basic stuff and this is something started happening after you guys put new brake pads & rotors, I also showed the noise to their two folks (Matt & Patrick from workshop) who went on a test drive with me and heard the annoying squeak noise LOUD & CLEAR. They kept the car and called me after a week saying it is fixed, I went there again to pick the car and met with Prem & Ken together, guess what? Noise is still there, this is not enough, their statement was “sorry we tried our best and you gotta live with noise” I said seriously? Imagine how frustrating the situation was and it left me speachless, I clearly told both of them this is the mess you guys put on my car and you have to fix it, if not then I will take the car somewhere else, will get it fixed and will bring the bill here because I am not going to pay double to get your mess fixed, I had to go through a longer arguments & terrible discussion with them, I mean this is the attitude you really have towards your clients after client went through all this? Then after a while Ken went inside the room, came back said ok lets us try again, we will replace 4 pads & rotors again….now I’m testing and see how it goes.
Great service for the most part. Good service team but sometimes they drop the ball and it can be very expensive!!! All amenities including washing your car are now out the window.

Just leased a Benz the other day and am very happy with my service. I was a bit scared because the experience when buying/leasing a new car is everything. I had a bad experience at a Mazda dealership before so I was hesitant on how my experience will be here and not knowing if they would help me make a good choice or sway me into purchasing/leasing a car that’s not the best fit for me. I bought a pre owned certified vehicle from them. Three months while owning the car I began to hear a squeak every time I went over a storm drain. I took the car in the first time and they said they would fix it which they did free of charge. Unfortunately, the issue arose again and I brought in a second time, they did some more work free of charge. And once again it happened for a third time. I brought it in and again they did some more work free of charge. They did not have to do this but Ken Dunnway did everything he could to make this work for me and I am grateful he did. If you are looking to purchase a new Mercedes, I highly recommend this dealership. They actually treat you like family and care about your experience.

I went to Autohaus for a diagnostic test. Calling to set up the appointment was worse than going online. Go figure. My service representative was on point. Got my diagnosis done in good time. The prices are, as always, way too expensive. Overall, it was a decent trip.

This is my third experience leasing a Mercedes through Autohaus on Edens. My first salesman left and I met Nick Maniatis three years ago. He was wonderful then and even more wonderful this time around. Going through the process during Covid concerned me, but it was handled beautifully. I was barely inside the dealership. They handled everything via email ahead of time; I went in only to sign documents, which took less than five minutes. Everyone was masked and I was congratulated with an elbow bump versus the typical handshake, which is exactly what I wanted. Nick provides incredible customer service as does Autohaus in general. I highly recommend both Nick and Autohaus on Edens if you’re interested in a Mercedes.

I BOUGHT GLC 300 FOR MY WIFE RETIREMENT A YEAR AGO. WE STORE THE CAR IN THE GARRAGE AND HARDLY DRIVE IT. IN A YEAR WE HAVE LESS THAN 2000 MILES ON THE CAR. WE KNOW THE CAR VERY WELL. WHEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. WE BROUHT THE CAR TO AUTO HAUS IN EDENS. PARIKH THE SERVICE MANAGER DIAGNOSED THE ENGINE WITH TEMPERATURE SENSOR AND THERMOSTAT DEFECT. THE COST TO FIX THE PROBLEM WAS $1499.32. WITH ALL TRUST I PAID FOR THE REPAIRS WITH TRUST. WHEN THE CAR WAS GIVEN TO ME AFTER PULLING OUT OF THE PARKING LOT I NOTED SOME OF THE ELECTRONIC FUNCTIONS DID NOT WORK. I USED IT WHEN I DROVE THE CAR FOR THE REPAIR. THEN I NOTICED A CRACK IN THE WINDSHIELD.MY WIFE AND I CONFRONTED PARIKH. HE GAVE US A PAPER THAT SHOWS HOW THE ELECTRONIC COMPONENT FUNCTIONS. HE SAID PUT THE CAR ON ECO AND DRIVE FOR 1 HOUR AND EVERYTHING WILL BE FINE. PARIKH WAS A LIER. WE DROVE THE CAR TO WISCONSIN AND INDIANA SAME DAY WITH NO EFFECT. FOR THE CRACK IN THE WINDSHIED HE TOLD ME TO IGNORE IT OR OTHERWISE GET MY INSURANCE TO PAY $1600.00 TO GET A DEALER REPLACEMENT. HE IS TEACHING US TO LIE TO MY INSSURANCE COMPANY. HE TOLD ME TO TELL MY INSURANCE THAT THE WINDHIELD CRACKED FROM COLD AND HOT. WE HAVE NOT EXPERIECED CHICAGO COLDEST WEATHER STRONG ENOUGTH THIS YEAR TO CRACK A 2 YEAR OLD MERCEDES WINSHIELD. THIS IS FRAUD . I WILL BEG THE PUBLIC NOT SERVICE THEIR MERCEDES AT AUTO HAUS IN NORTHBROOK. THEY HAVE THE MEANS TO STEAL YOUR MONEY EACH TIME YOU ARE THERE. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. First of, Philip contacted me told me all the good things about the 2020 GLB 250. He mentioned he has 20 plus years of experience on Mercedes Benz. I told him I’m upside down on my current loan. He said he can help. Without thinking twice, I made a mistake to put in a credit app with the salesman, Philip Gagerman. Not only he was misleading my hopes, but also lied to me about the finance manager is working on the rates. Three days past, I haven’t heard from him. This to me is strictly unprofessional. Now, I got a hard inquiry on my credit report for this B.S. I’ll not recommend any of my friends to go to this dealership. Fort Wayne Mercedes Benz is way better.

Good experience when purchasing a brand new car with the first class tire and wheel protection service. Things changed completely when it was time when the wheel was damaged and needed replacement under my protection plan. They said that my protection plan was canceled and I shouldve received a refund for the payment, which I didnt and I still have the contract saying that the plan I paid for is valid for 60 months. Service tells me to contact sales and they tell me to contact finance and its just a run around. I didnt expect this for a Mercedes Dealership, AVOID at all costs, find another dealer or dont purchase these add-on service plans.
This dealership is full of crooks, its a shame they are allowed to work for such a brand. just look at all the bad reviews, the good ones are all fake.Stay away from them.
Had a flat tire right before closing. Pulled in and mechanic who fixes tires was gone for the evening. Got a loaner car in 5 minutes. Young man was super helpful. Dealer had to order a new tire in morning, luckily it was in the area. Tire came in and mounted and balanced. Had car back by 4:00 PM. Great serviced provided by Tom, service advisor. Polite and helpful.
This is a great place to buy a car, however I really go because of my sales person Philip Gagerman. He is always looking out for me. I got a great deal on my recent lease but mostly because Philip was on the ball with monthly incentives to make the numbers work.

Wonderful to work with Lori! I do not like pushy aggressive salespeople and Lori is the exact opposite! She was a dream, provided information, always answered our questions easy to reach and exceptionally knowledgeable. The entire process was really smooth, Lori handed us to Mary in Finance who was wonderful! We then met with Amanda for the technology overview of the car, she was terrific as well. The car was IMMACULATE upon receipt. They went out of their way to make this an excellent experience. I would highly recommend Lori and the people at Autohaus!

I feel he provides me with excellent advice in assuring me the work on my E350 is required and will provide me with a long service life. I came into Autohaus because my windshield wiper was broken on my 2014 E350. Before I left, I was buying my 2020 C300!!!My salesman Nick couldnt have been more accommodating but another reason that I am staying with Autohaus is the people in service especially Ken and Cindy who always greet me with enthusiasm, caring and excellent service.

Mark Tames the owner/manager stated Phillip has been talked to regarding all the lies he tells to get a person to buy a car, and thenadds extra fees that he said specifically he would not do. It is obvious he had done this in the last 20 years he said he has been selling cars. Owner knows he does this, and will continue to do this. DONT TRUST HIM/THEM!

Horrible service. Just because my car wasn’t bought from this dealership, they did not care to help me. I called them a day in advance to make an appointment for my car’s air conditioner. Made an appointment for 9am the following day and told them that I fly out the following day so please can I make an appointment and get it taken care of right away. I specified, just diagnose at least and then I can decide if I want to leave or bring back. Dropped off my car, picked up a loaner. I was repeating myself that I need it asap. The service clerk purposely stamped it waiting with 4:00pm. Then I didn’t hear anything from them. Called at about 12:30 and they told me that they haven’t even touched my car. He gave me the excuse that they had been running behind and finishing up last night’s repair still. So why overbook appointments? I went back and picked my car as is. Horrible service. It was one thing if service was taking long. You did not even touch my car for 3 hours. What’s the point of having an appointment? Do they even understand the meaning of that term? And I told everything about my time crunch situation to the service clerk. I believe they did it on purpose because my car wasn’t bought from them. Very disappointed. Learn to value your customers time! May be my next mb could have been from you.
From the greeting to the delivery of our new vehicle the experience was exemplary. Kevin was professional and knowledgeable and didn’t let the fact that we went car shopping during a snow storm deter him from allowing us to explore our options freely. All of the staff were courteous from the financing to the mobile app set up, nothing was left out. We are Definitely going to recommend Autohaus to anyone who’s in the market.

These guys are very professional. The service department never disappoints. I brought my car in multiple times for service and maintenance under warranty and I never had to argue or make a case for warranty repairs. Fair, honest and good people. If something is not covered under warranty they will make recommendations based on your needs. Great experience so far.
