Pay Your Age Day was one of the most brilliant promotions ever. My child is THRILLED with their selection, and it really reflects how great this company is. What a fantastic deal! This location is a kiosk, but the staff is so warm and friendly to everyone that visits, especially considering we never bought anything until now. They are rolling out some kind of birthday promotion that I am really looking forward to as well.

This morning I took my two kids come to play in the tree house. My daughter saw the Build-A-Bear Kiosk and she liked one of the push toy there. She asked to buy for her. So we asked the price, the associate told my daughter and me it was $29.99. We were about to buy it, then my daughter saw the same one under in the bin need to stuff. Then I asked the associate, would be the same price to stuff it and with clothes, she said yes. The associate stared to tell my daughter we could add the sound or heart beat or other features to make the push toy more interesting.So my daughter added a sound for $7, I asked the associate, so the price will be the push toy and the sound, right? what is the difference between the stuffed one on the shelf and the empty one? she said the clothes are free just the sound.Then I went with my daughter to stuff the push toy, she made a wish, print the birth certificate, and she had a lot of fun. I was happy to see my daughter was happy.When we get to pay, I got this $67.10 for the total. I was surprised and ask how? Then the associate told me clothes are $10 and $15. I said : you told me clothes are free, She said no, I told you the clothes are $10 and $15.I looked at my daughter. She loved the new push toy she just got. She had begged me for the toy. She had been through the love and creating the new toy she had made wish. But from the purchase side, this is not fair. No matter it is Build-A -Bear companys strategy to sell or it is the lie from the associate for the prices. By the time of pay, I cannot argue or even refuse in front of my 7 years old daughter because she loved it so much.This Kiosk is right next to the tree house play ground, I can imagine how many parents had similar experience. I wish I can give a 0 star for this company. It is beyond the fair or not fair--ethically this is evil!!The push toys attract kids nearby, then sales associates misleading to sell over priced toys!!

I came to Chicago to visit my son who stationed here with the Navy. We went to the mall and we got the most adorable stuffed animal and in the paw is a recording of my sons voice, he even bought “NWUs” for it. Every military mama needs one of these.

I had a problem ordering online, I contacted a build a bear representative, she was not helpful at all plus she had a bad attitude. Went to the store to fix my problem and they helped without hesitation, so nice and friendly! Don’t waste your time ordering online! Go to the store instead!

It is one fabulous shop with amazing staff that will ensure an unforgettable experience .
