Stopped by to grab a bite after a long day traveling. I wasn’t very hungry but opted for some Fried Green tomatoes and Corn and Crab Bisque soup.. Kacey was my server who was very attentive, calling me Mam all the time which was a novelty to me. She did forget one of my dishes I ordered but it was busy in there for a Monday night. The pianist was excellent playing some great pop tunes in a easy listening mood …good attribute in the restaurant, ohh and the Lemon Drop was ammmazzzing!❣️🍸🍸
Food was exquisite! Dined in as a family celebrating a birthday. We had the crab cakes, duck wraps, and oysters (both raw and grilled) on the half shell as appetizers. The best grilled oysters I’ve ever tasted! For an entree, we had the filet and wedge salad which was both absolutely made to perfection! Homemade hush puppies were provided at the start of the meal. Our waiter did a superb job, the atmosphere was very pleasant and so enjoyable! Nothing but praise from our experience!!
Great Service, Amosphere and View. I shouldve stuck with the Shrimp Pasta but got grilled and fried shrimp plate. Grilled was good but fried was salty. Hubby had blackened catfish and the fish was outstanding. 2 huge filets. Garlic mash potatoes had no garlic or seasoning. Blackened seasoning had no flavor. Bland. Nice place but pricey.
My wife and I were celebrating our 31st wedding anniversary. 1st time visiting and all I can say is WOW! Nathan, our server, was fantastic. Kudos, Nathan. Your boss needs to give you a raise. My wife had the shrimp platter and I had a ribeye. Both our meals were delicious and I believe that it was the BEST ribeye I have ever eaten. We finished our meal with a creme brulee. AMAZING. If your from out of town, this is a MUST STOP. Thanks again Nathan for making our Anniversary special. 👍👍
I went there for a trip through town. The service was friendly and and delivered hot. The Cajun Catfish was delicious and the hush puppies were filling. It’s has a great view of the bayou. You’ll definitely get your money’s worth for this little gem.
Love the view from the deck where we’re sitting at, food was great, very polite and attentive staff. Could be crowded, and some costumers could be so loud which is not really appropriate. 4 stars only ‘cause the table and chair where we sitting at is unstable, not balance, we can’t transfer ‘cause there’s non available. Waited 45 min to be seated, waited 20-30 min for the food. Restroom is clean. Thank you.
As a fire investigator who travels the US, we always try to find a unique place to eat that’s locally owned, well this is a hidden gem !!some of the best food In the southern states I’ve had, great experience, fantastic wait staff, drinks were perfect,, food was fantastic, five stars really aren’t enough for the food& atmosphere and experience, it will be my go to place when I’m in this area, thanks for the great hospitality
Warehouse never lets me down on the food! The servers are amazing as well, love it. Wish we could have heard the famous TikTok guy pianist there tonight for the weekend instead of that lady, our kids were looking forward to seeing him. The lady music was just too loud and not good. The male pianist is insanely talented. Hope we can get the chance to see him again and meet him.
Not as good as I expected, but not bad by any bit of imagination. The fish was a little overcooked. The grits were good. The drink I had was good as well. I will go back for dinner. Enjoyable non the less. Had lunch here.
Nothing horrible, just mediocre. Salmon was okay if slightly overcooked (asked for midrare) skip the crab cakes. No evidence of fresh crab in the cakes, minced it was instead of big lumps. Service was good, never got that coffee. (I get it, my family can be/is a little crazy - thanks for taking care of us)
Went for lunch. I had the Eggplant with crabmeat. It was an appetizer special. Added a side salad. Absolute perfection!!! Warehouse needs to add this to their menu, as a Lunch Special. So rich, abundance of crabmeat... You cannot go wrong when you see this!
Stopped here on a whim - driving through Monroe on a road trip. Such a great experience! A+ service, friendly server (Jimmy) - he offered great advice about the menu and travel tips too! The food was fantastic. Try the bacon wrapped quail appetizer and wedge salad - and whatever was you order, get the cheesy grits to go along. You won’t be disappointed.
By far my favorite place to eat. Everything is cooked perfectly. I usually get the Ouachita River Special. I’ve been eating here for many, many years and have never been disappointed!
This place has AWESOME history, very nice restaurant now and the food and service was beyond AWESOME!!! We were told about it as a great seafood place, we got way more than we expected. Again, I will say... the service was AWESOME!!! We will be back if we are ever in this area again. Go try it out, you wont regret it.
It was great to have special dinner with family. Nice view, piano plays, and perfect service. Willing to coming back!
Whenever I have a work client from out of town this is the place I always recommend. I’ve been here many many times and the service and quality is always top notch. The food is consistently great! I’d really like to emphasize the consistency, because while there are other good restaurants around town I haven’t found one that doesn’t have an off day or two.... except for the Warehouse
Food is wonderful, but that piano lady has bad music and always so loud this weekend! I have to scream with the people I’m with to hear me. I don’t know where the guy pianist is that’s always there, but please make sure he is back on the weekends instead of her!! He’s 10x better!!
Monday afternoon June 2021, group of 26 ordered under Brooke (Waitress) and Tommie (Waiter) and within an hour we were out the door. The food, service, and atmosphere was second to none! If in the area, I highly advise you give this place a chance, you won’t be disappointed!
We are so glad we tried Warehouse #1. The building is beautiful, and the history is fascinating. The sangria and hush puppies were delicious. Everything we ordered was prepared perfectly. We want to go back to eat outside. Great find in Monroe!
Phenomenal restaurant! Went there for our wedding anniversary. We were seated after a 40-minute wait. We were treated exceptionally well by our wait staff. We enjoyed our food immensely and were even given a complimentary dessert to celebrate our anniversary. The hush puppies were the best I have EVER tried! The environment and ambiance were perfect. 10/10 will go again!
Absolutely perfect experience. The environment was welcoming, the service was top notch. A quiet piano playing and some of the best food I have even tasted in my life. Steaks cooked to perfection, appetizers that make the mouth water and a dessert that feeds the soul. This place lived up to the hype and reputation its maintained since it opened. Five stars isnt enough...
Good view and meal was ok- got stuck between 2 large parties and had no room to get up or move. Would’ve rather waited to sit.
This is one of my moms favorite places to go for special occasions such as her anniversary, birthday, celebrations, etc. So, it is one of our familys favorite places, too! We LOVE their food. It is definitely worth the wait! And, during the pandemic, we enjoyed their family meals to go so much! They have the absolute BEST FISH! And let me tell you about their catering at weddings ~ there is no better cater in Monroe!
Bass was great but high priced. Good house red wine
We received excellent service from Rhonda. The food also was excellent.
Its a special dinner for my friends birthday party
Rarely do I leave a place feeling as grateful as I did eating here. Perhaps it was the long morning of driving from Atlanta. Or that I hadn’t had a great southern dish in awhile. Regardless I was happily licking my paws after my lunch here. Great service and nice atmosphere. Everything you would hope to find in an establishment. The bar seating was a little awkward as the floor slanted but nothing to fret over too much. I ordered the catfish special and was blown away by presentation and flavors galore. The hush puppies were also a warm welcome. I’ll be stopping back here again.
Visited Monroe from Florida. Very impressed with the quality of the food. Exceptional.
Kayla was our waitress and she gave us and experience of a lifetime. The food was great, thank you to the cooks, and the service was amazing, thank you Kayla. We loved it. We will be back.
One of our favorite restaurants for a good date night! The food is always on point and service is great! The filet is always cooked perfect as ordered and the red fish Louisian is a top pick! Never disappointed when dining with Warehouse. A bit on the pricy side but well worth the splurge when we choose to do it.
Lovely setting on the river with a fire in the fireplace in the enclosed deck. James was kind to accommodate us as we called last minute and he found a great spot for us. Diverse menu with seafood and a broad range of other entrees. Food was attractive, nicely prepared and delicious. Would definitely go back. My only complaint is all of a sudden we had everything on the table at once while we were still wanting to sip our specialty cocktails. Was too much at once to make our way through pre-dinner cocktail, salad course, main course with two sides (with wine) all on the table. I understand why now (see below) but during all this, were asked about desert. Our sweet, courteous and attentive server didnt really rush us but the timing of the courses definitely needed spacing. We were at a two top and while busy they were not pushing people in and out. No problem there. Anyway, a very thoughtful finish was that our server had asked about any special occasion we might be celebrating. He brought us a gorgeous piece of anniversary cheesecake decorated just for us and they took our picture! See attached. Again, well be back when we pass through Monroe again.
Have been there 2 times. 1st time 12 yrs ago & then 2021. Fantastic food & service.
Great staff! They went above and beyond.
This place was the best random find in Monroe! The service was excellent...it was relaxed and friendly, but he was super attentive. And the food!!!...the food was unbelievably good! I had shrimp and grits and it took everything in my power not to lick the plate dry! Also, the view is SO lovely and there is a little mat that details the origin story of the restaurant and history of the building. I travel a lot for work and this spot is a total WIN in my book! Thanks Warehouse No 1 for the great experience!!!
Everything was good. The staff there are really cool and so friendly I liked their hospitality.
Service was superior. Speed of food delivery was good for lunch. It was easy to get back to work on time. The crab bisque was nice with large pieces of crab. The gumbo was disappointing. The flavor was just OK and the meat was just OK as well. I was looking for premium gumbo but got just above average gumbo.
Visiting family in Monroe. They took us to Warehouse 01. Wonderful meal
They accommodated our family of eight on the porch as requested. It was certainly worth the wait of 20 minutes. Go early the food is wonderful in the scenery even more spectacular
Amazing service! Set up for 100 ladies from Christ Church. Very accommodating, and absolute delicious food!!
Really good, the place feels romantic with dim lights, piqno music, and you can speak without yelling. The cocktails were delicious,we had a Pomegranate Martini and a Bloddy Mary and were really good. We also had a half a dozen oyster (which Im very picky about) and the were tasty; we shared a Redfish Louisiana and althoug it was a little bit too spicy for me (Pepper spicy) it was really delicious. Finaly we had dessert, the sampler one and specially the brownie for me it was so good, but the others were goos as well.
Really great place for a good meal, beautiful atmosphere. When following gps first time there, be patient... Yes, theres a restaurant in that area!
Good food just gave me old slave plantation vibes
The atmosphere was awesome soon as we walked in they had a guy playing the piano and the food view of the river was beyond..... Ill make sure Ill be back ! Food was well season!
Another great dinner at the Warehouse! This is one of the most consistently good restaurants in town. Ive never been disappointed there. Love the great service and that its on the river; the deck is wonderful when the weather is nice. Even something as simple as the grilled chicken is delicious! Be sure to try some seafood too.
The food was delicious and I wouldnt mind going back; I had the redfish louisanne, very good. Im not a fan of grits, but japleno cheese grits were everything. Staff were friendly. Nice experience for first time visitor.
Great long time Monroe destination for great food and service. It never disappoints! And great views of the Ouachita River!
Food was fantastic and our waiter was excellent. Try the jalapeño cheese grits and the creme brulee!
Food was great. The waiter was so great. First time to be there. Will be going back.
Elegant, berry comfortable relaxing setting, deck view awesome, perfect lighting, bar awesome, great affordable food, excellent customer service.... LOVED! LOVED! LOVED!
Very good food!!! Excellent waiters and waitresses.
Everything was amazing. Got lucky and didnt make reservations, just a walk-in, and managed to grub. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT THEY ARENT OPEN ON SUNDAYS!!! Everything was fresh and wonderful! I dont eat grits, but their jalapeño and cheddar grits are amazing!
Great location and service. Flavors are popping! Try the southwestern fish special. Delicious!!
Great food great conversation with bartender.....
Great ambience, fresh and delicious food, and very good customer service.
Worth every penny. Exquisite food, expertly prepared and every bite melts in your mouth. Impeccable service from polite, friendly and attentive staff. This will be my number one dinner spot whenever Im in town!
Doesn’t look like much on the inside, but just wait til you get in the inside! I was a little skeptical at first due to the outward appearance but after learning the history of the warehouse I understood where the name came from. Prior to entering temperature was checked and hand sanitizer was offered (big plus). Upon entering a gentleman played tunes on the piano and was quite good at it.I ordered the stuffed quail as an appetizer and it was great. The main dish was the Catfish Sierra with Jalapeño girts. AMAZING. Well seasoned and cooked thoroughly. Highly recommend dropping by. The waitress Tommy was also good and attentive. If you’re from out of town like I am (225) give them a try.
It has great food, good service, nice place inside. Loved it.
Our server, TJ, was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. He ensured that we enjoyed the delicious food and offered suggestions which were spot on in satisfying our cravings. We will certainly be back based on the quality of the food and the friendly and courteous staff.
Absolutely great experience. The food was incredible. I ended up ordering the bowl of gumbo which was fantastic. And dont even get me started on how delicious the bacon wrapped quail was. Definitely recommend dipping your hush puppies in the etouffee sauce
My son and I took his daughter and her friend there last night as she left to get back at NSU. She and her friend had not been there before. My three guest were very late for our reservation, but they put me in the back room. There were many celebrations gojng on...but my waittress was very patient with my party not being there ontime. We had a great time, had a variety of orders..fish, shrimp and steaks plus appetizers that were wonderful! My granddaughter had to try the cheesecake...one piece which was huge...and the best any of us had ever had! .
Such good food. I had the pan seared sea bass and it was perfect.
Overpriced and sub par waiters and cooks. I told the waitress how I wanted my steak cooked and confirmed it before she submitted the order. The steak came out medium rare. I told her that I asked for medium well, so she took it back to the kitchen and it came back way over done. I didnt bother asking her to correct it a second time. I got a better steak at Outback for crying out loud. I would not recommend going here.
Friendly service, and delicious. We opted for takeout back to our hotel, and then bragged to my parents, who used to go to this restaurant quite often for special occasions when they lived closer! Yes, its in the warehouse district... Just follow your GPS, dont give up!
Food is good. Hosting staff is rude. Always packed.EDIT: The rude hostess at front is apparantly not there anymore. Last 3 times was excellent experience and top notch. Good stuff
Great food, great service as always. The employees did a great job. However the manager was wandering the floor and greeting customers not wearing a mask. Were in the middle of the worst point of a pandemic and this guy is showing horrible leadership in not even pretending to be part of the solution. At least respect your customers and do the minimum to get past this season. Ive loved The Warehouse for years, but this disrespect is something Ill remember next time Im home to visit my family and friends.
The food was amazing from the appetizer to the surprise dessert for my daughters birthday. Helpful and friendly staff! We were able to sit outside on the covered porch, which gave us a little more security about COVID issues.Leftovers for all because there was so much food.
Amazing server, food, absolutely loved the quail bites appetizers!!! Has become one of my favorite restaurants
It was a great dinner. The staff was very professional, and friendly. Our waitress was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant to any and everyone.
Excellent food and atmosphere. Loved the history behind the building.
The BEST restaurant in Ouachita Parish!!! 6 stars!!! Free cheesecake for celebration!!
Good food, very good service.A bit pricey for the quality.Return visit Outstanding.!Food continues to be very good, but it is the service and friendliness that makes this place a must .Thank you for a great evening.
This is hands down my favorite restaurant in Monroe and it is situated on the beautiful Ouachita River so you get a wonderful view while you eat. We go here for date nights and to celebrate all of our special occasions. I have even hosted several bridal showers and baby showers here. They have a wonderful catering menu! The wait staff is always friendly and prompt and will meet all of your needs. Now lets talk about the food! Every single dish on the menu is superb. Never had a bad meal from here! My go to dishes are the Baked oysters, oyster trio, Catfish Sierra with jalapeno cheese grits, and bread pudding for dessert. You cant go wrong with the Redfish or a perfectly cooked Peppercorn Filet. Every now and then they add a Strawberry salad to the menu and omg it is amazing! I wish they kept it all year long. If you like Old Fashions they make a fantastic one. One of the best you will find in Monroe. They garnish it with a blackberry which makes it completely different than anyone else. If you are celebrating a birthday or anniversary be sure to let your waiter know because they will provide you with a personalized piece of cheesecake and take a picture of everyone at your table and give you the picture as a free keepsake. If its your birthday the woman that plays the piano while you eat will play happy birthday just for you. If you are going on a holiday or the weekend be sure to make a reservation because they will be busy. There is a reason they are always packed, and once you try it you will find out why!
Chilean Seabass was disappointing, although the service and other food was good.
Brother had reservations for back room for my nephews birthday party before he leaves for the Navy tomorrow. Got there and they wanted to seat us in the first big room that was packed. The 8 top table, which was one of two tables, still had patrons there eating. They were obviously overbooked for the night and had already seated people in the back room even though it was reserved for us. The manager, Haley, kept stating that it cost $500 to reserve the back room and a $1000 for upstairs. He told her that he was not told that and she said that he was. I was sitting on the bench several feet from her and could hear her plainly even with the piano being played in front of me and she was being very rude. We left and went to Does. The manager seated us at Does quickly in a separate room and we received excellent service with no reservations. Im not planning to return to the Warehouse even though weve gone there many times in the past to celebrate family birthdays and anniversaries. We have also eaten in that back room many times too and never been told or charged $500 to do so. The dining room was packed last night just like the parking lot; therefore, Im sure that they were over occupancy for COVID phase 2. We do have several people in our group that are higher risk, which is why be reserved the back room with a few tables to spread out, but still hear each other and be able to interact.
The food was excellent & the Service was Awesome.
Had the ribeye steak and lobster!! It was great! For dessert had cheesecake with strawberries 😋
Great abiance, service, and food! Passing through for lunch, Kasey made my daughter feel loved. She said it made her feel like home here. May look too fancy from the outside, but it is very welcoming. Excellent food!
Food and service was great as always.
