Fast, easy, clean. No issues here

Bought 15.01 worth of gas. Stop and Shop put a 100.00 hold on my debit card. Called Stop and Shop Gas, asked why they did that? Person told me that they dont do that, it was my bank. Called my bank, they said, we do not do that, its Stop and Shop. Really???? 100.00 hold for 15 dollars worth of gas. I am appalled. And they hold it for 3 days, when people need their money the most, Stop and Shop puts a large hold on your account when using a debit card to get gas. Shameful.

Watch Out! If you are unfortunately close to your Credit Card Limit. This place hits your card at $150 even if you buy only $10 in gas as I did on 1-3-2018. I called my CC Co just now as I review all my financials daily and was told its a common practice at some stations. Now this pending charge will drop off in a couple days. Heres the rub, say you needed to Fill a Medical Prescription, this over charge could put you over your CC limitand you would be unable to buy or fill your Prescription. This Practice should be outlawed!! Wheres Dick Blumenthal ? This was my first time at any Stop & Shop for Gas. Based on a comment I see here this practice is ongoing.
