Gotta go there because I bought my tires from them. Its about the best it can be. Nicer than town fair tire and prices about the same. The salespeople are a little pushy. The service is good and they seem to care about your car. (Just wish they could be a little less sales oriented.) They have emissions testing and they are efficient as the wait is never very long. I like them and have never had any problems with them.

They are always very busy, but thats because they are really good honest service that you usually dont find in a garage chain. I service my vehicles and my work vehicles here. Its best to make an appointment if you want anything done on a weekend because they do get a lot of business on the weekends.

If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. I went in on a Saturday for my emissions. I was told it would take up to an hour, which I was okay waiting for. As I was in there for only 30 minutes I observed some excellent customer service especially by a team member by the name of Ryan. There were people who did not pass there emissions and others who were going to need more work done on their vehicle than anticipated. The way he went about it was exceptional as I have seen how other auto places have gone about it. I will definitely be back.

Went in for an oil change, guy told me 100 dollars for an oil change… I confronted him about the price and asked him why is an oil change (where the full synthetic oil normally cost 34.99 5 qt and where labor was 6 dollars with recycling 3 dollars) costing me 100 dollar. These people charged me 80 dollars for the oil alone… 5qts of that oil in which can be found for 35 bucks anywhere else…. He was pretty much speechless after and gave me some dumb excuse (well the price of oil is higher now). BEWARE these people they will try to scam you out of ur money if they think you don’t know what ur doing. Yes I know sometimes they’re good but a lot of the times they’re not, so please view ur options before coming here… and remember their job is to make the most money off of you as possible, they couldn’t careless about you or ur car

Its 40 minutes away from where I live but Ive been going here for years. They helped keep my old 2000 Lexus going strong until last winter when I finally could afford a new car. They are honest and dont unnecessarily upsell - I trust them.

I made an appointment online 3 days prior to when I wanted to bring my car in. I received a confirmation email saying I was all set for the appointment, but when I arrived I was told they couldnt get me in...they were booked up!Will never do business there again.

Dropped my lease vehicle off for service work with a preset list of concerns verified to my leasing company. They called and said my vehicle was done. I called my lease company and verified most of the stuff requested by me was not addressed. They told me they did not request alignment, wiper blade replacement. I gave a detailed list which again was already addressed with my lease company. All they had to do was what I needed done and it would have been approved. Supposedly did a brake check and didn’t even give me measurements. This is nearly 78,000 miles on original brakes. 15 k ago I was told 3 mm, the response from the staff was negligent on proper responses. Again they told me that the stuff not done was denied, but when I spoke to my lease company they said none was requested. I know my car and being in the automotive industry for 35 years, you listen to the customer and not do what you want. Won’t be back. Again this was all preset and all they had to do was do the work.... instead ignored and do what they want. Oh and 24 hrs to put on 2 tires, oil change and air filter. Flat rate would have been 2 hrs maximum. Slackers.

They are okay, more than five-star, i fix cars for decades now, one of my car was nobody can fixed /cant find what needs wrong for.Even Firestone cant tell me how to fix this car, they all believe Heads Gasket break.However i dont believe it, the motor oil is clean all time.Finally, Smith Brothers Transmissions shop found it, the coolants tank from the bottom leaking evaporation stemming to all over the engine block and the radiator cant work properly.Now my knowledge is refined to cars, you cant depending on someone, knowing yourself is the best.Firestone is helpful place when youre trouble about your car.New London County.New England.

Went in for oil change and check the fluids. Not long after I kept getting check lights telling me the windshield wiper and oil levels were low. Checked and wiper fluid completely empty and oil was low. I wont be coming back.

Good place to fix car here, we lived this town and fixing car this place. Little more expensive with credit card but they just do it right away,Many places in this town, they take forever.

They got me in and out. Very nice. Helped with my tire choice. Didnt try to push product or services I didnt need.As far as Covid, they have minimal protection in place. Chairs are placed apart, masks are worn but not much else. No attention was paid to the car.

I went into Firestone and got an oil Change. Long story short, they pretended to do an oil change. No Oil Chnage was performed on it.After about 1hr wait, I was told that I should replace the engine air filter. I know its much cheaper to buy it on your own at the local parts store, so I delcined.I went to Autozone, bought a new air filter, popped open my hood and realized the engine air filter i have in there is so clean and new, why did the Firestone guy recommendme to replace it?Then, I got really skeptical and checked the oil change stick, and sure enough. There old oil residues on it, the oil is dark, no way a new oil change was performed on it. I had the Autozone guy check it also, and he confirmed that no oil change was performed on it.I went back, the customer rep guy at Firestone gave me a horse load of excuses, and he wouldnt even tell me the name of the mechanic that worked on it. I stormed out.STAY AWAY FROM FIRESTONE AT NORWICH!!!!!

I was able to get in and get accomplished what I asked them to do. initially I had discussed with him getting a appointment but was told I didnt need one when I showed up I was told that I probably should have had an appointment. Theyre a little short-staffed but got me in any way. the mix-up in appointments is a reason I rated them three stars aside from that they did a good job were tentative and got me in and out quicker than I anticipated. I would use this location again

Are You kidding Me?!?!Leaving on a road trip Tomorrow, and did not feel I could make the time to change the oil in My 2008 Honda Odyssey, so took it to Firestone, on West Main Street, in Norwich,CT., that was My first mistake.The attendant came out with a dirty air filter, and offered graciously to more than double the price of My oil change by adding the cost of a new one, to which I declined, as I was on My way to the Wally World for My next stop, where I purchased a new filter for less than half the price Firestone offered.Upon My return home when I went to change the filter, I was a little more than irritated to find that the technician had broken one of the four bolts holding the cover down, and said absolutely nothing, He just left the bolt with a busted off head where he found it.I had the Wife call, and ask if that was standard practice, being that We moved recently to the area, and where in need of the occasional car maintenance, and an emissions testing facility, for a tech, to break a bolt, and then just not say a word about it?After quite a few minutes wasted on the phone, the resolution offered was to bring the car back, and they would fix it, with a sub-standard non-factory bolt, and that was only after being told that the tech did not break it.Even if He did not (which he did, the break was still real nice and shiny, and I was the last one to check it)Why would he not say, hey one of Your hold-down bolts is broken, or even Jeez, SORRY,I broke one of Your bolts...I mean honestly Firestone of Norwich, You just lost a future customer over a $2.00 bolt, no small wonder why mechanics have such a bad rep, You all are the pits.The new tires I was needing for My vehicles will never be from Firestone either.They did however have a couple decent magazines in the waiting area, but it takes a lot more than that.

Horrible took my car there for emissions test, left there with windows not working and a quote to fix it for $153.00 plus tax. Went to local mechanic shop and they said someone kicked the fuse box when getting in the car or starting it, causing the windows not to work. Amateurs thats all I got to say

They really do care about their customers and the vehicles they drive. 6/11/2019They greeted me as I walked in, they outlined my options, helped me decide what work to have done by explaining all of the options, and they gave me an estimate price that they met. I even asked one of them if this was your wifes car what would you do and his answer made sense. Theyre extremely nice and knowledgeable about car care.

If you want the best service and the best price you are at the wrong place. I came in as I frequented a Firestone location in Dallas Texas and was hoping for the same level of service. My check engine light was on and after 2 days of digging they said it was a bad fuel injector. After I got it back that time with a $500 bill for an injector and a valve cover gasket, I drove all of 30 feet and the light returned on. I drove back and told them I wanted it fixed right this time. After 2 more days of digging they told me my engine was bad as the piston rings on a 90,000 mile engine was bad. They quoted me $4500 and on top of that they were not going to be able to take care of it for over a week. I asked once again that they were sure that it was blown and then they said they could do it for $3500. I took my truck and ran. I brought it to a recommended shop by my friend and they diagnosed it as a carbon covered valve. Also the replaced injector was not working at all that was replaced by trusted technicians and to top it off the plug wires were crossed. This branch has made me lose faith in firestone as a company. Thank you.

Fooled around with driver seat position and turned rearview mirrors inward to reflect the vehicle, not behind as would make sense. took all day long and needed more time for more work. however, offered graciously to replace a damaged lug nut. thousands spent, car received, lug nut not replaced. managed although to apply generous grease stains to interior. pushed very expensive repairs which were completely unnecessary, as there was nothing in need of repair. condescending attitude every time. overpriced. pushers. lack a sense of urgency, honesty, and respect.

My wheel bearing job ended up more complicated and expensive than originally estimated, but the communication was excellent through the process. I felt like they worked with me on getting the fairest price possible and I appreciated them taking the time to to actually show me what was going on.

This crew is wonderful! We dont like taking our car anywhere else for service. Sometimes that means waiting for an appointment. However, the crew is great about doing whatever it takes to get our car in sooner. They are professional, courteous, and quick.

This place is a scamer ， i have my ACCompressor exchange a year and half ago for $700-800and now is broken again, and they dont cover nothing cos is out of warranty ! At first they asked for $900 something to fix it,after I said its too expensive and they dropped it to $700 something which is still expensive for not even working 2 years/less than 15000 miles! Very busy. Took over 24 hrs. to change tire. Did not have a Firestone tire for my Elantra. Im not happy, but I had to go someplace that stayed open late.

If you havent tried this Firestone location in about the last 5 months, you will be pleasantly surprised by the positive change. The new manager, Reid Dixson, has established a whole new attitude with his staff. I noticed it from day one and Ive had about 4 service experiences with them since. The most recent was a special case and everyone there worked to meet my needs - both quality and service were excellent. If you were burnt by the former guy, try them again.

Love Firestone. Years ago I had gone to Goodyear to get oil change they told me I needed brakes. Ok. I could deal with that but not right then. I had something else done to car so went to Firestone and told them to do brakes at sametime. So off home I went to wait for car to be done. Got a call within an hour that car did not need brakes. I would have never questioned the brakes as Goodyear told me I needed them. At that point its me and Firestone for my car needs. Staff is the best friendly and funny. Help you in every way.

Went in for emissions testing on a Saturday morning. A few people there but test was done quickly and staff were nice. Would go back next time.

Well, so far I have only given them three stars. I have had my Dodge Grand Caravan in several times this week for different reasons. All of the people working the desk have been polite and kind, but they dont seem to know, as of this am, that I had to bring the car back last night. Did no one, working the pm shift, leave the am shift the message?? So, Im still waiting for them to fix the original problem. I have used this Firestone before, and have been very satisfied with the work and the results. When I get my car back today, I will leave another review as to how things went, and the final results. Perhaps they will receive the full 5 star rating, but who knows?? My mother had used this Firestone for about nine years to service her vehicle, and was always pleased with the service and results. This is why I have chosen this Firestone. Okay, so I just got a call back from FS. More stuff needs fixed….but its not their fault. The van is a 2003, and has almost 160,000. miles on it. Weve decided to do all the work, the car is paid for, and if I can get another 3 years out of this ole van, it will be well worth the money spent. Lets just hope and pray that 1. They dont find anything else, and 2. That the van runs for another 60 to 70,0000 miles!!

I have an old car that I bought brand new in 2000. Firestone has maintained my car throughout its life - 200,000 miles now and still in great condition. Ive moved several times in the past 15 years, from Florida to New England. Wherever Ive lived there has been a Firestone. They guarantee their work and if they make a mistake (and they have) they fix it, either with a refund or further repairs or both - but Ive always been satisfied with the outcome. My current home store is in Norwich, CT. The manager is a no nonsense sort of fellow and so am I. His team are exceedingly polite and helpful. I give both this store and the store in Springfield, MA a solid five stars.

Interesting visit. Went in for an alignment and tech assured me they would be able to get my lowered vehicle on the lift. 1 day later they call and say it was too low and they tried different ramps and wood blocks to get it on the alignment rack but they didnt want to damage it and Id have to try somewhere else. Ok, fair enough. Well....my dash cam told another story. The mechanics pulled up to the alignment ramp slowly went on, acknowledged it would scrape a little, continued on [you can hear the scrape] and then parked the car all the way on the rack. 20 minutes later the car is restarted and backed off into the lot. Pretty pissed off that the manager lied to my face. Will not be returning.

I took my car in for a cracked radiator and they ended up charging me $340.99 for the part alone. In doing some research, I found that the Advance Auto Parts store right across the street (where I assume they got the part) charges only $141.99 retail for this part. Im assuming Firestone does not pay retail prices for the parts they order from Advance Auto Parts, but either way, they charged me almost $150% more than the retail price!! PLUS beware, every time Ive been in this particular place they are always pushing car batteries on people by saying Youre battery is right on the cusp and them show them some printout where it looks like the battery is going to die soon. Ive always known they charge more than other auto repair places, but would continue going because of brand safety and name recognition, BUT NO MORE!!

Had my tires balanced and rotated wrong twice at Walmart in Lisbon ct, and these guys at Firestone, did their best to tune them in best they could. Now my wheel doesnt vibrate when Im on the highway. Thanks guys.

Tried to make me pay to fix brakes before the would do emissions because they felt unsafe driving it into the bay. Been driving with these brakes for 6 months. what a joke, I drove around the place for 10 minutes braking hard and honking, probably worse place Ive ever been. This was after waiting 2 hours. place is a scam, go to a mom and pops joint for anything important, just another main business chain trying to hustle you. Should be investigated by the better business bureau for fraud.

Emissions test caused malfunction in my car

Had my truck brought in here on Sunday for brake failure. Tuesday, I called them up to find out if the problem was an easily fixable (and affordable) one. The manager told me that they hadnt even had it on the lift yet. Since they had had it for over 48 hours without looking at it, he flat out told me that there would be no charge for the inspection (normally $120). On Wednesday morning, he called me and let me know the severity of the damages (bare minimum of $1200 on a 17 year old pickup, but most likely would have been more). I informed him that the salvage yard would pick it up first thing the next day. Not only was I not charged for the inspection, I wasnt charged for the four days of storage. Will definitely be bringing my next vehicle here.

Terrible. I paid 100 dollars for a diagnostic,and the tell me I must spend another 1500 or i wont pass emissions and lose my registration. My firestone card only goes to 1000. But they refused to work with me rudely.

Im surprised by the bitter reviews. Ive patronized this location for many years, and Ive never had an unpleasant experience. As a woman, I am always critical of mechanics and scrutinize every detail regarding maintenance on my vehicles. Ive never walked away from this place angry.

They are way overpriced, and slow. They tried to sell me a new ignition coil pack, after taking the car in for tires. They claim they were having a tough time starting and driving it. I declined and opened the hood, and one of the ignition cables was disconnected. It was running fine and connected when I brought it in. Thanks Firestone (sarcasm, just so we are clear). They swore up and down that their road hazard would cover replacement of all 4 tires, because my car is AWD. It does not. Stay away. I only gave 1 star for appeal because the building is decent. Never again!
