This ice cream shop is fantastic. There are so many wonderful varieties of ice cream and yogurts with the edition of tortas, popsicles and other snacks. I love the pecan yogurt. Its usually pretty crowded and the parking lot is small so go early on Sundays and have a few samples.

The customer service is great. Our server was wonderful. She answered all our questions and provided samples of flavors. Their ice cream is so creamy and delicious. We enjoyed the experience.

Best milkshake Ive ever had for sure. Staff is very friendly, everything made fresh in front of you. Such a big selection of treats and flavors too. Never going anywhere else for dessert again

I found this little place near my job. I had a craving for elotes and they didnt disappoint. Recently I started to order the flautas and they are so good.

The staff is so nice. It was our first time here, we had 6 people to order for. They were so patient and suggested and explained flavors. Let us try almost every flavor. I got a shake made with the blueberry and cheese ice cream. It was phenomenal. My kids got a sundae with lucky charm ice cream, and a shake made with chocolate and lady gaga ice cream. And The cookie dough sundae was great. You can customize the toppings on the shakes and sundaes. The cucumber ice cream was great too. Whatever my brothers gf got with the Water based and milk based ice creams. Food too. We will be back again.

We waited 20 minutes in a line of about 5 people for our food to be cold tacos weren’t even tacos they were flautas lady tried saying there tacos when they clearly weren’t terrible service.

Absolutely wonderful place. My family is addicted to getting nostalgic corner store snacks or getting the elote with Takis sprinkled on top. My favorite was getting a funnel cake with Oreo ice cream on top w/banana and Carmel/strawberry sauce. Id add a picture but it was eaten before I realized

Without fail every single time i ask for an elote without mayo they’ll put mayo in it. you’re better off driving to 79th & state because even with heavy traffic you can get what you ask for 👍🏼

Very clean in here. Unfortunately cant eat inside but they have nice outdoor seating to chill while you eat. Great snacks. Love em.

Delicious! Service was friendly and patient with my large order. They are usually very busy later in the evening, but we got there before the rush. So many different flavors of ice cream to choose from. So many paletas to chose from with cream or water based. I got the mangonata, so fresh and the chamoy was on point. My husband got the Agua de fresa and loved it. We bought 10 paletas to take home and she kept it in the freezer for us while we ate our treats.

Phenomenal place for snacks and treats. They have a huge variety of items from yogurts with fresh fruit, to various ice creams, plantains, elote, fresh drinks, and even tortas. Its a great place for kids and a great environment to be in. Its always clean and staff is great and prepares the food right in front of you. They also have an outdoor dining area to enjoy it fresh. The price matches the quality and then some, its never a regret to go there.

I love Michocana ice cream, I frequent the ones in the Pilsen area. I think this one is a priced higher, but its in a good location, and its pretty large. Magnonadas are so good, and of course the hot cheetos and cheese sauce are a staple for a city girl.

They are always so very nice and welcoming here. The palletas are just wonderfully flavorful and such a delicious variety. Im slowly eating my way through their dessert menu and enjoying every bite!!!

Chicharrones were good and plentiful. Elote was ok. Taste like it was a little old or frozen before.

Not so great on customer service, 3 employees at counter and it takes minutes to ask you want you would like to order. Their conversation with each other was more important.

I visited this place today and the service that we received was horrible. I ordered a banana split ice cream and was charged $8.25 and it was handed to me undone with no whip cream. I was told they ran out after the fact that I paid for the ice cream and was not offered a discount of any sort or a substitution. One of the employees offered to discount me $1 and I said okay and the manager then stepped in and said that I could simply return the ice cream to them if I did not want it instead of offering an alternative. They have a sign which specifically states that they cannot take back ice cream because it’s a health violation. I still paid full price for another ice cream to replace the awful banana split that I was given. I suggest that management reevaluates the way she handles her customer service as I wasted 40 minutes of my life and spent over $32 on this terrible place. There are plenty of other Michoacanas in Chicago with better ice cream to waste my time and money on this place.

If I could give it 1000000 stars I would. Awesome natural taste ice cream. Great service. Reminded me of my childhood and home town. It changed my life founding La Michoacana. I travel a lot, every week through different states and now everywhere I go I try to find one and visit there.

The flavors are good, but the quantity is so small for the price. I prefer Cold Stone or Plush Horse.

Very cheap my total was 21.04 and I gavethe cashier a 40$ and she gave me .96 in change.

Its so unfortunate to see that employees are not following the store policy of helping only those complying by wearing masks. I visited yesterday around 9:45pm. The line was long. A couple and later another man made purchases without facemasks on. The last man even places his hands on top of the counter hanging by the fresh fruit. This is so unsanitary even in times without Covid-19.I was very disappointed to witness such hypocrisy from the store. I hope your policy gets enforced as soon as possible and that you are more careful not to lose the policy abiding customers.

They really need to label the flavors better. Slow service and yet we were probably their first customer of the day. The kids liked it but my husband and I were not impressed. Next time we will stick to Andys or Cold Stone.

Really good ice cream and desserts. I had to wait an hour for ice cream since me and a bunch of people came at once but it was worth it. I personally got vanilla but I would recommend trying whatever the employees recommend.

Best ice cream I have ever had. So many flavors are included! My personal favorite is cotton candy. The only thing that was not liked was the long wait. This is because it is a very popular place. I have come to this place many times and will continue to. Love this place!!

I would rather give this one no stars. The people were very nice but didnt have a clue with what flavor were what. When we started to eat our ice cream it had no flavor whats so ever I will not be going back ever again. The one on 79th and state road is the best and I will never go anywhere else ever again.

I want to give them a 4 at least because their ice cream is so good BUT they are SOOOO SLOW! They usually only have 2 workers and the line is always super packed! I waited nearly 30 minutes in line today with a 2 year old crying for ice cream! Its nearly summer time, hire more staff!

The first couple times I visited I bought the fruit cups. Very good, the older staff is very attentive and kind and the place has a wide variety of choices. I decided to switch it up and get a shake.....BAD idea it was essentially all milk and no flavor. The younger staff is very inexperienced and non welcoming. No one greeted me or acknowledged me so I waited randomly for 10 minutes not knowing who would help me next. Will have to find a new spot.

Hello everyone! Thank you all for your comments and reviews good or bad. That makes us improve in the areas we are weak in. Everyone has their own personal choice of desserts such as ice cream and yogurts etc. We try to do our best. La Michoacana Premium has been nominated in Chicago’s Best coming out on channel 9 and have come out on TV channels such as Univision which is a Latino very well know channel. We are now 35 locations and still growing. If management was poor I believe we would not be a family owned buissness that has worked very hard to reach where we are at. However, my staff now tries to do the best they can. If their has been a long wait I apologize. It’s very difficult when their is a lot of call off and youth are very in responsible. I will try to make your visit at La Michoacana Premium be the best experience at any other Ice cream shop. Thank you again and my apologies.

Prices were a little more compared to other places but this definitely had a big selection. The staff was friendly and the wait wasn’t bad.

Fresh and good items

It is sooooooo slow here . I could have drove to another location and have been back home by the time they got to me. They do not list the flavors of ice cream that are on sticks so many choices when you go thru the list on menu most of it is not even available . Ice cream is not even that great I prefer the one in burbank quicker service better ice cream.

The drinks and corn we had were good but the service was horrible. The only lady working refused to give her name but skipped the line full of about 5 different families to help her friends at the end of the line. I had to wait 40 minutes to even place am order. 3 people complain and she was very rude.

Great place

Got the mango and every piece was unripe. It was all hard as a rock. I can see some pieces being unripe but the whole cup? It really sucked. Whoever cut it up knew it was unripe. Very,very disappointed.
