An exceptional handbag makes the outfit. I think its an essential accessory and staple that completes ones wardrobe. I remember the first handbag I purchased in college,...now a vintage Gucci. Over the years Ive purchased Chanel, Gucci, Bally, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Kielselstein Cord Trophy bags, Versace, etc., but it wasnt until I started to get acquainted with the different artisan bags at Selleria Veneta that I fell in love with their exquisite Italian, handcrafted bags and accessories. I discovered from their friendly staff that they are truly unique to the season and vegetable and flower dyed! I still like my other bags, but I find the bag Im choosing to wear more frequently on a daily basis are the handbags Ive purchased from Selleria Veneta. They are distinctive; I guess because they arent mass produced. The leathers are soft, and the bags are so well-constructed. I live in the West Loop and making the trip to Oak Park is fun to see whats new at Selleria Veneta and frequent the other shops on Oak Park Avenue. Beautiful Italian goods! When this store opened I was suspicious of its authenticity. Being Italian there are numerous examples of businesses, restaurants, etc. claiming to have authentic Italian products. I was skeptical until I walked in. The goods in the store are truly beautiful. They are artisan quality and NOT mass produced. The price may appear high to the uninformed, but actually the goods are an excellent value. These are luxury bags for 2/3 less than designer counterparts. I bought one bag and a backpack for my sister. You will not be disappointed. Cecilia is passionate abut the quality and attention to details. The goods remind me of my Italian roots!

Selleria Veneta has a comfortable atmosphere, and Moses and Cecilia make you feel at home. The quality is incomparable and the designs are both beautiful and smart. I bought a backpack which can also be used as a shoulder bag. Inside are two open pockets and a deeper zipper pocket. The outside has a zip pocket on the back side and a horizontal zipper on one side. Its beautiful as well as practical. Ive never loved a bag so much. They always have something new when I stop in. Check out La Dolce Vida the first Friday of every month. Youll love this shop.
