I am sorry, but when someone is looking at your service and have been trying to reach you for a whole day with message that your voice mail is full and disconnect you, then that is the kind of service you probaby provide anyway. Took my repair to someone else. Better be safe then sorry later.
Service is as good as it ever was. Got my mower turned up in ONE DAY.The staff is terrific. This is why I have been going here for over 20 years!
I took my mower to this place last summer and it took 5 weeks to repair my plugs and some other minor repairs. When I would called after 2 weeks of not hearing anything, I was very pleasant and they seemed very bothered by me checking in. It still wasnt done so I had to check in once a week after that and each time again its like I was bothering them. Look I know you are busy with repairs in the summer but you have to have better customer service and update your customers on a reasonable timing of when repairs can be done not have us guessing. from now on I am taking my mower to ABC Rental in St Paul, way friendlier and much quicker with their service.
Extremely rude owner that’s was very unwilling to help me find a lawnmower part. Told me to google it. A simple lawnmower belt, not that hard to pull one out for me.
The only place to buy TORO equipment of any kind. Bob & Andrew are very knowledgeable & helpful. Both can service any type of lawn mowing & snow removal equipment. Forget the big box stores!
Good, honest, knowledgeable folks! They represent top line equipment manufacturers.
Bad experience🙁 guy behind the counter was rude and not willing to help. Just told me to Google it. Went to a store down the street and they were able to order it for me. I will never go back!!
Very nice small business ran by self owner, dropped off my snowblower as the self propel line broke. They fixed it within a week which was a little longer but they needed to order in a few parts. A year later and still running great. Thank you!
Wonderful service on your equipment mowers snow blowers and sales is top-notch
Ive been a customer of Northwood Power for more than 20 years. Knowledgeable and friendly staff, great service techs, and top-of-the-line products. It started with my vintage 1995 Toro Recycler mower which still starts with 1-2 pulls and runs great thanks to the regular maintenance provided by Northwood. After years of frustration with string trimmers the Northwood guys steered me to an Echo thats proven very reliable and easy to use. Though I wish I wouldve gotten the straight shaft model. To minimize frustration with unexpected seasonal breakdowns, I bring my mower in off-season every 3 years for routine maintenance.
I erased my old review. I heard they had new owners and didn’t want my negative review to affect them, went in there today. Much more pleasant trip.
While traveling north for a fishing trip we encountered trouble with the trailer. These guys were top notch help! Two thumbs up.
Great small engine shop. Excellent service when I bought a brand new lawn mower from them.
Don’t go here! We took our riding lawnmower in to have the carburetor replaced in April and picked it up 3 months later. I was promised that the mower would be ready on April 18th. I stopped by the store in early May because I had not been called with the status of the mower. The new owner told me that the carburetor was back-ordered and he was unsure when he could order it.I stopped back a few weeks later and was told it was still on back- order. He said he would call me when it was ready. Finally on June 27, I was able to find the part on the internet for $110. I called Northwood Power Equipment to tell them what vendor to order it from. He said he used Partstree and would order it immediately. I knew that I needed to call them to ensure that they had ordered it and found on June 28, that it was still not ordered. I asked him the price and he said it would cost $169. I told him it was only $110 and he said that it was his markup. I was able to order the part and it arrived a few days later. I brought the part in and asked when it would be done. They told me the next day.I went to pick it up and they brought out somebody elses tractor. They then brought out mine and it didn’t idle properly. I insisted that it needed to be adjusted. He said that it couldn’t be adjusted because it was an after market part. The lawnmower is over 20 years old and there is not another part available. The owner said it would be ready soon. A week later, I called to tell him that I would be picking the mower up that afternoon whether it was ready or not. On July 17, it was finally ready. I paid $413.04 plus $119.60 (shipping included). That includes $219 of labor which took 3 months to get repaired. I had to pay for a starter which I am sure they burned it out when trying to fix the carburetor.I then asked for a discount because it took so long and they burned out the starter trying to repair the carburetor and they wouldn’t budge.
