I was very impressed with all of the associates. They had great personalities! That is rare nowadays. The woman assisting me, was very patient. I enjoyed my experience. The guy at the counter was awesome, he told me to come in when I called, they were not too busy at the moment. Glad I did!

Super friendly staff willing to make sure you are pleased with your glasses if you are not they are willing to replace them until you are satisfied with the ones you bought. Jackie was the lady who helped me she is so nice I can highly recommend her when you get your glasses. I will always go to Lens Crafters in Ocala for my glasses.

I purchased frames and lens last year. I broke my lens and called to get a new set. Unless I scheduled an eye exam they would not replace my lens which is 1 year. They told me the doctor wrote the prescription for 1 year only. I called the doctor in south Florida and he said incorrect all prescriptions are 5 years. So unless I paid for an exam at their location they will not sell me any lens.This doesn’t seem right. The office that wrote the prescription was nice and said they told a FIB

I never review places, but after this experience I needed to warn customers. If I could give this LensCrafters zero stars I would! Remodeling is their excuse for their horrible customer service... My appointment was on Thursday, May 27th 2021 and just got my contact prescription on July 1st 2021. Never in my life of wearing glasses and contacts has it taken more than a week to get my prescriptions..First time at this LensCrafters since it was the only LensCrafters within an hour commute in my area. I got a contact lens exam and have worn the same contact for 15+ years and I was suggested to try to the newer version of my contacts by the tech. I did not receive the pair of contacts I asked for and a week after the exam I didn’t get a phone call from my contact lens exam to talk about the trial pairs. The new contacts they gave me were very uncomfortable and I took it upon myself and called three times and left a voicemail each time. NOT ONE PERSON CALLED ME BACK.As a current healthcare professional, it’s very difficult to be working with glasses and goggles and not to mention the fact that my glasses cost me $700 at LensCrafters and have the possibility of getting broken at work. I was able to contact the store manager at LensCrafters who told me one thing and then once I was able to contact the doctors office... they told me another thing. Needless to say I will not be going back because the excuse that was given was that I needed to be patient because they were undergoing a REMODEL.. As a health care professional myself, remodeling has nothing to do with providing quality service to your patients and customers. Taking two weeks to get me a prescription for my contacts with the patient having to follow up because no one was responding is ridiculous. I should have listened to the previous reviews about poor communication! I should also mention that the doctor complained through my whole appointment about burnout and having to take on so many patients.. I was also told one doctor just walked out as well. I understand that times are hard, but it’s important to keep what is going on within your establishment confidential because it only makes the company looks bad.After a month of waiting I finally got my prescription, but wait.... it was sent over and they GOT THE EMAIL WRONG... after spelling it out to the associate on the phone. They are very lucky that the information was not sent to the wrong person... Needless to say, every person I spoke to blamed the fact they are remodeling. I suggest going elsewhere if you want to actually have your needs met when it comes to your prescriptions.

I had in exam at another office 4 months ago and I never felt like my prescription was right. After losing my glasses, I figured I’d just get a new exam and this location gave me an entirely different experience. The doctor listened to me rather than saying “you just have to get used to your prescription” and even the retail experience was awesome. The doctor introduced me to the optician who helped me the entire time, rather than trying to sell me. At the first office, I literally just wandered around until I found glasses I kind of liked and check out. Best location ever! The doctor and staff were all helpful and kind!

I was scheduled for an eye exam today at noon. I arrived to be told, Im sorry we do not have a doctor. I asked why they didnt call me so I did not drive 13 miles there to be told there was no doctor. Their reply was, our phones have been down for 4 days. They could have used their cell phones and/or emailed me. There are plenty of ways to contact their patients. Unacceptable.

Its the worst place Ive ever gotten my glasses done. I waited over a month for them to call me and they didnt. When I went to ask what was happening, the answer is that they lost them. The only thing I received was an apology and a refund. I never step on that place again !!

Bad On-Line Service, based on my insurance, I used LensCrafters and followed the local stores recommendation to complete my order on-line because I already had an eye exam. The order process was easy, and I had my new glasses quickly; however, they were wrong. The nice person sent me a return label and said, you received your refund the day they receive it. They received the bad glasses and I did not receive my refund.I called and was told 3-5 business days this time. Seven business days later, no refund. I called again and was told 10 - 15 business days. When I pointed out this was not what I was told the last two times, I was told they gave me the wrong information. He then explained that it is 3-5 business days after they process it, and my refund was still not processed seven days later. So wait some more until we have time to process it, well do it today, and MAYBE you will see your return at some point in the future with no date given.I do not recommend using LensCrafters because of low quality and misinformation. They will hold your money for as long as they can.Thanks for the quick response from the owner to go to their webpage, please note that Once the form is submitted, you will receive a response within 5 business days. Not sure how that will help considering I called them already?

ASK FOR JOANNE!!!!We traveled from MN on a road trip and broke my wife glasses. At 3pm Joanne greeted me at the door immediately and listened to our situation, made fast recommendations and looked at her watch and told me I have enough time to make your wife’s frames and your prescription sunglasses if we multitask and get the questions on the iPad while you choose frames.She did a great job, saved our blurry driving home and had such a fun experience!

So I took my prescription to Lenscrafters in Ocala, Florida and I not only received the Best friendly, professional and timely service, I paid half the price for not only the lenses but for half the cost I got a complete pair of new glasses! 7/4/21- I accidentally broke the frames to my glasses and needed a replacement. I didnt know if they would be open on the 4th because of the holiday, but they were. Thankfully, I have insurance on my glasses because I only had to pay the frame replacement fee which wasnt much and they were able to instantly replace them since the frames were in stock.1/11/21- It takes days or weeks to schedule an appointment because they barely answer their phone & they dont return calls/voice messages! I had to keep calling & finally got an appointment scheduled for today. I show up for the appointment & as soon as I finish filling out my paperwork, the lady at the desk told me theyre closing early for the day....on a Monday at noon! The lady at the desk said they had some issue with their system & if I would like to reschedule. When I asked if she knew if they would be open tomorrow, she said I dont know. So whats the point of asking someone if they want to reschedule if they cant?!

LensCrafters is very professional. They fit me in between appointments and did not rush through the exam at all. Before this I had been to Ritz and Johnson 3 times, it took weeks and the prescription was wrong every time. At LenseCrafters they got my prescription right the first time and I could even pick up my frames with the new lenses in later that same day. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

If I could give 0 stars or even negative stars, I would. This is the third year I’ve been here for a simple eye exam and contact fitting. I’ve waited over an hour each time, and 2 out of the 3 other people in the waiting room have waited over an hour and a half to even be seen. There are numerous other eye doctors in the area, but when you’re established someplace it’s easier to just stay. No more! Not a single person has left this optometrist’s office even partially pleased. Take your business elsewhere if you value your time, because they don’t!

I never leave reviews but just wow. All I wanted to do is put lenses in different frames but would not allow me to purchase frames because of the liability of the lenses falling out. If I want to make a choice to put my lenses in the frames then I am the one who is responsible. But to decline a sale for such a poor reason is unfortunate. I found the same brand and same frame but the lady hadn’t done the proper due diligence to see what I had before making the assumption that they where not there. definitely won’t be back first impressions are everything. The customer is not always right but properly handling one is key.

This store is a scam! I have vision insurance through my employer and I am only supposed to pay a $15 copay for my eye exam. I get to the appointment and check in with a high school kid named Ethan who spoke horribly but was telling me I had to pay roughly $99 for the exam and that I either had to agree to have my eyes dilated or agree to an optical test which would cost an additional $29. I know for a fact this is illegal as previous eye companies have told me. I have the right to opt out of the extra tests.Ethan took and copied my eye insurance card but never pulled anything up in a computer. He kept saying, “they are telling me $99 eye exam”. Who is telling him this? He didn’t even access a computer to verify anything!Either LensCrafters is running a sham and trying to get people to pay more out of pocket or they have very incompetent people working for them. My advise is to find another provide.

However the pick up of these glasses was extremely unprofessional. You go to the front desk and are instructed to stand in line or find a desk with an open chair ! I was told to come Monday morning at 9:00 AM. I was not told they are not doing complete eye exams due to COVID-19 (presumably, no slit lamp exam due to proximity). I show up and they do their annual attempt to sell me a retinal exam for $40 cash. The business of medicine. I decline; I am young, non-diabetic, non-smoker. They inform me that they are substituting the close portions of the eye exam with the retinal exam. I call a consult - another local optometrist, who agrees that it is inappropriate to do what theyre doing at Lenscrafters - there is no anterior eye exam with the retinal exam, it is not an appropriate substitute.Whats concerning from a fraud perspective is that theyre scheduling annual eye exams and bait and switching to the cash only retinal exam...but are they then charging insurance additionally for the complete eye exam, without performing it? I may inform Humana of a need to investigate for potentially fraudulant billing. I would have confirmed this with the optometrist, but he refused to speak with me.Finally, I called around town, and everyone else is still doing complete eye exams. This is an anomaly with only this shop at this time.

Will give the eye exam a thumbs up because I felt the optometrist was very thorough, but I ended up taking my prescription to another optical business, named Hindsight. I had been driving to LensCrafters from The Villages, FL to Ocala because they were a business familiar to me from the north. My glasses from them had a Transition coating put on that had worn off. In fact, they said I didnt have the Transition coating on the glasses, and when I told them to check their records, they changed their response. With the order of new glasses, they agreed to charge me half price for the Transition coating. Sixteen months later, I went back to have an exam and get new glasses. When I said I was, once again, unhappy with how long the Transition change lasted, I was told that 16 months was normal. No additional discount offered. I took my prescription and went to an optical store two miles from my home that told me Transition lens should last well into 3-4 years. Their prices were much cheaper than LensCrafters prices. I saved $150 dollars to replace the progressive Transition lens in my existing frames. They took the optometrist prescription and made my new lens. I was able to wear my old glasses until they called me a few days later to make the lens change. Love my old Ray Bans with their new lens. Just want to let people know there are other cheaper options out there. Maybe a smaller independently-owned business is more personable and customer caring.

The doctor was great, however I picked out the frames and was told they would order them with the lens. I waited and contacted them after 11 days to be told they could not get the frames I picked off the shelf. I advised them that the rep charged me 410.00 for the frames and lens. They attempted to sell me other frames, I then even picked a pair shown in which they could not order either. That rep advised me that my insurance was not even in network with them. This is my second visit to this lens crafters over the last two years and this visit has been a sign never to return. They should purchase the ones I choose and fulfill the order I paid for. I requested a refund and found the same pair with lens over 50 percent cheaper somewhere else.

Everyone here is great. I highly recommend going here to get eye exams and glasses. The staff are very nice and patient with you and they do a good job of explaining exactly how everything works. The only downside is that they are a bit pricey, but definitely quick, friendly, stellar service.

Dr. Eric was the best Optometrist Ive ever had! Im 53, and have been wearing glasses since I was 9. He is very thorough, professional, and a very nice Doctor to boot! He discusses options I never knew was available, as well as explaining my exact vision issues. I will only use him now for all future eye exams. Great experience!With my insurance plan, it actually cost me about the same to get name brand (Aramani) frames and progressive lens than generic glasses online. Very happy!!

Went in today (5/24/12) because my eye doctor closed down and I accidentally sat on my glasses breaking them out of the lens. I was politely greeted within seconds and told no problem as I explained my situation. Within 5 minutes the pleasant lady had my glasses fixed and told me it was free of charge. I couldnt believe it! The eye exam was excellent and so was the person who helped me with my contacts. However Im very disappointed I went to lens crafters. Poor selection; the lady who helped me didnt seem to be in a good mood. They told me 1 to 2 weeks for my glasses and then called me on the 14 day mark to tell me that they didnt pass inspection and had to be redone. However they let me have thoes ones while they made new ones for me which was really nice.

Worst experience ever! First I was prescribed lenses that were way to strong, then went back for another exam still too strong. Made another appt. 30 minutes before my appt got a call saying unfortunately the person who set my appt didnt set it with my original Dr, so it will be $90 because the new Dr wants a new eye exam and if I would like to see my Dr, it will be $40. Why call me 30 minutes before my appt to inform me this. My coworker say she had the worst experience with them as well! Never going back!

I first went and got a eye exam and got my glasses when I went home they seem to be blurry. I went back and got another exam and they changed my prescription. I had wait for the new glasses. Everything was fine until they broke. I went back for another time to get a new pair. Now they are blurry again. So now I have to go back again to see what the problem is this time. I got the protection plan and there’s a $25 copy. This protection plan was told to me that if anything happens you get a new glasses. Well I wanted to change my glasses from plastic to metal and they didn’t let me. I am so frustrated I can’t see and I have no other choice but to go back. After my insurance paid for my glasses I paid additional $519. I don’t recommend for anyone to go there.

I strongly suggest not ever going here because these people are straight up liars and deceitful immoral crooks. Our 18 year old son went to get an eye exam for contacts and the doctor lied and told him he needed the premium contacts and the premium dilation which naturally our insurance does not cover. The doctor knew full and well that it was not covered through insurance but persisted to tell my son that he needed it. We have gotten several exams and prescriptions through this place but my wife or I have always been with our son however this time we both had to work and assumed this place was honest and would treat him the same as the last several times we were there. It blows my mind that a grown man, a doctor who has to take classes on moral behavior could lie and cheat a young man out of his hard earned money. My son works 2 jobs to pay what bills he has and this crook just took the last of his money. You would think a company as big as Lens crafters would explain to their patients if the insurance did not cover something but no they keep it a secret because it makes them more money and it feeds their greed. I truly hope the doctor and the workers at this place can sleep well at night But they seem the type that do not care as long as they can pad their pockets and feed their greed. I truly suggest never going here and finding an honest doctor that will not lie.

Was there with my mother while she was getting an exam. Everyone seemed very friendly and helpful. Had to use the bathroom while I was waiting. That was probably one of the worst public bathrooms I have ever been in and I go to a lot of concerts. I swear it hasnt been cleaned in months. Ive always been told you can judge a business cleanliness on the condition of their bathroom. Gross!

Went in with damaged coating on lenses just over a year old, lady I spoke with was no help at all. Said there was nothing to be done for what amounted to a faulty product. I didnt purchase the extended plan because I replace my frames/lenses every couple of years and never expected to receive such a bad product (let alone bad service) from such a popular business. Bad product, bad service, bad business practices, wont make the mistake of shopping here again.

Bought ray ban frames and glasses from here for over $ 350.00 . Broke a lens and went to have replaced. Associate advised that they couldnt replace as the lenses were curved and they could only replace curved lenses only once. REALLY !!! Took glasses to their competition. Dr. Sanjeet Shahi is awesome! I have been having problems with my eyesight getting progressively worse over time. They did a very comprehensive exam and I left out with contact lenses and could see. I had almost stopped driving and everything and who knew that it was only progressive lenses and that I am aging. I will continue to frequent this establishment. AND IT ONLY TOOK ALL OF 15 MINUTES in and out! Everyone was so professional and the customer service was great as well. My new hero!

Went today for a1:00 appt for myself and husband. They called him in 1st and when he gentleman helping him was done they called in a young lady who came after me. Then my husband came out and as I was telling him that they skipped me again and called in another young lady who arrived after me. That was it, I wasnt waiting though we still had to wait for my husband to be done. At 2:00 they called me in and I told them I wasnt waiting after having being skipped twice. The very rude girl working the front desk tried to say my appt was at 2. I call bull, our appt was confirmed twice for 1:00 because they called a separate time to confirm our insurance and no one said a word about a 2:00 appt. She stated they never book 2 people for one slot. Maybe, but we dont know that and they only EVER confirmed our appt for 1:00. To top it off the rude front desk girl admonished the young man for taking 5 minutes more than her on intake. Really, as a patient I dont want to hear there is a time limit for taking care of my eyes. Ill find a doctor where they dont treat you like lens crafters does with time limits and rude employees.

If you dont really need glasses quickly go someplace else, the price of frames and services are off the chart, and the in house doctor is freaky, rushed me through the exam and got in a huff when I asked him to explain something to me, they try and up sale you with some computer crap that wasnt necessary 20 years ago, and fine if you dont want it. There are not many other options in Ocala if you need glasses quickly and forget the B.S. about you can go to any Lenscrafters down the road if you need replacements or service, I broke my glasses while on vacation in Ohio and the local store had no access to my records in Ocala, I had to have them make me glasses after they guessed my prescription from a machine that looks through my lens, not the actual Drs numbers...will not go back

I switched to LensCrafters after not being happy with the results from another practice. During my exam the Dr. found something suspicious. He told me to make an appointment with an Ophthalmologist for further screening. Yesterday at that appointment I was told that the Dr. at LensCrafters saved my eyesight.
