Awesome customer service. I brought my bike to them with a flat to have a tube replaced. This was at 5:50 PM and their closing time is 6:00 PM. I fully expected to leave my bike with them overnight for pickup the following day, only to be pleasantly surprised ( not to mention delighted) when I was told no problem, we ve got ten minutes, we got this and at 6:00 I was on my way as were the kind folks from Tuckahoe Bike Shop, me with my bike ready to ride and they calling it a day, but with a very happy customer. Thank you gentlemen, you are the best!

Had a problem with my bike seat. The older gentleman tweaked it up no problem. Took a spin around the block. The gentleman refused payment, which I was thankful for, but I needed the seat tilted a bit. A younger gentleman helped me and immediately gave me an annoyed attitude. He did tilt the seat, but when I tried to buy a bike lock, the key was missing. I asked if he had the key behind the counter and he gave me another snappy, annoyed response, saying if the key wasn’t there then he didn’t have one. I bought a bike light and as I was leaving, I heard the gentleman say something under his breath. I came back and asked him what he said. He rolled his eyes and very defensively said nothing. While I was thankful to the one gentleman, I cannot suggest shopping there if that younger gentleman in glasses continues to work there.

Visiting a friend in OCNJ. Borrowed bikes for a quick ride which turned out to be a rear flat on the Boardwalk and 2 mile stroll home. Tuckahoe Bike (1235 West Ave) was awesome. Ended up replacing both tubes and the front tire. 30 minutes later, on my way again. Thanks.

Great experience! Was looking for a beach cruiser. Their inventory was low due to a busy July 4th weekend, but I was able to test ride a few options. The tech was very helpful and adjusted the seat and handlebar height to fit my body. Although I didnt find what I was looking for (due to the low inventory) I would recommend this shop and would definitely go back.

I needed a tire replaced and they had trouble finding the correct size. After a few minutes the tech said he found one that wasn’t an exact match but it would work. After a couple of months the tire developed a bubble and blew out. After further inspection I found the tire had cracks on the sidewall. Seems to me it was old when I purchased it. I went into the shop and the two associates completely blew me off. They said I picked up something on the road. I asked if they could explain the large hole where the tire blew out. Again they just disregarded anything I said. Fortunately found a new shop in town which just opened. Tuckahoe Bike Shop can pound sand!

Very unwelcoming. I brought my commuter in for an adjustment. The mechanic first picked apart the terms I used when I was asking for assistance with my bike. Then, Immediately jumped to the conclusion to replace everything without even looking at the bike or listening to why I was bringing the bike in. The mechanic did not even put the bike in the work stand, That is bike mechanics 101. The employees acted like I was inconveniencing them by bringing my bike in and trying to give them my money to fix my bike. Stereotypical bike shop that just tells you to replace everything without even doing a proper assessment. I will never come here again. Not even for a tube. Im tired of bike shop mechanics belittling customers. Horrible experience.

Don’t go to this shop. I called in advance asking for an on the spot repair, which they said they would do, until I show up and three different people get involved all saying different things. Basically shaming me for what I brought in, were not welcoming and had bad attitudes. Attempted to assess my frame and the damage there might be on the threads of the BB by sight, without the bicycle ever entering a workstand or a tool touching it. ??? All the typical reasons why a shop doesn’t do well and will go out of business. Couldn’t get them to take my money no matter what even after they said it’s my decision to either tighten the BB or replace; and I chose tighten given the additional time needed to order parts. I’d give them 0 stars if I could. Worst shop.

My six year old and I walked in on a not very busy Saturday in May 2021. The hand brake on her kids bike needed to be slightly tightened . I asked if they could do it thinking either not charge me or charge a nominal fee. Literally it took less than 30 seconds out front on the sidewalk. Used a wrench to loosen a nut, pull cable slightly and retightened the nut. I stuck out a 5 dollar bill to tip the man for his help.He wouldn’t accept it and said to pay inside. THEY CHARGED ME $16.00!!! I couldn’t believe it. That translates to $1,920 per hour. NEVER EXPERIENCED SUCH GREED. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP. CLEARLY THEY ALL ABOUT TAKING ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE. I WOULD NEVER POST A REVIEW ABOUT A SMALL BUSINESS BUT THIS WAS OUTRAGEOUS. I CAN ONLY HOPE THE $16.00 they stole from me costs them 1000’s in business. I’m embarrassed for them and angry enough ( it’s not just about the $16.00, but the greed ) to write this review.

Went in few times in one day. Got a comfy seat for a cruiser, and a tube later on. My last visit I bought a $375 bike. $100 more than what they go for online, I get it supply and demand.However, I bought a $375 bike. I may have asked in a sarcastic way, but I still asked for a “free” can chain lube. The older tech proceeds to belittle me in front of his young peers. The young tall guy was not helpful either.Also, I chose the bike inside because it wasn’t 100 degrees in the sun...that bike had cardboard wedged into the stem and something else wrong with it. So I had to switch it for the bike outside.I had to bring THAT bike back after 30 minutes with it. (Missing coaster brake nut & bolt) Oh and I live on the south side of the island. So thanks for the 20 minute trip each way.I’m not some weekly renter. I’m here every weekend, and you guys lost a customer.

They were super helpful & concerned for my sons situation. I live 60 miles away but would make the drive for their service & sales! Thank you guys.

My wife and I were riding through Ocean City and she was having trouble with her brakes. We stopped at Tuckahoe and they fixed her brakes in 10 minutes for about $20...talk about fair pricing and prompt service!! There were several other customers, so it wasnt like it was a slow day. This is an outstanding bike shop that takes customer service seriously.

Called this a.m had 2 flats. Told me to bring it in& they’d fix immediately. I did & they fixed it, were very pleasant & accommodating. Charged a very fair price & was out in 20 minutes 😉

Aug 12 had my mountain bike fixed and the mechanics were courteous and helpful. I usually can fix my bike but I needed their help on some stubborn problems. The price was reasonable as well. I recommend Tuckahoe Bike Shop in O.C.

I brought an old tired bike in for a flat tire. they treated me like i was there to buy a new bike! great service, got my new tire and he even tightened the fender that was loose. ill be buying a new bike next season and it will be here.

Absolutely fantastic experience here yesterday. Finally took my bike in to fix a flat rear tire and a good spring tune up. Figured I would pick it up later. Nope! They fixed it up on the spot, and with a reasonable amount charged as well! Friendly greeting when you walk in, great selection and service. Cannot recommend Tuckahoe Bike Shop enough.

I purchased an expensive bike at this shop and was told $5 tuneups were included every year. This perk was great because I live in OC and the elements are harsh on bikes. Went to get my tuneup and was charged $10.20. I ask about the $5 tuneup I was promised but was put off very quickly. Moreover, my chain and that area were still rusted like they had not did anything to the bike. Very disappointed and will not go back again. If you promise or promote something, you have to keep your word and this company doesnt seem to care about that.

Local, small shops wonder why Amazon is putting them all out of business. I needed to fix a flat tire and after taking the tire into the shop for the previous six flats that Ive had, I decided to try to save a few dollars and replace this one myself. Well, they wouldnt sell me a new inner tube, they would only allow me to bring the tire in and replace it for me. Terrible customer service. I will now spend my money on Amazon to get my replacement inner tube. I also purchased a new bike from this store four years ago, but I will no longer recommend them. Its a shame that they are the only bike shop on the island now.

Buy your next bike here. Great customer service before and after the sale. I bought my daughter a beach cruiser here just shy of a year ago. Took it back today with a crank problem. They took care of fixing it on the spot - no charge. They also replaced a cable lock I got here that malfunctioned. Love this place!! Super friendly service.

Bought a new tandem bike here today. Very friendly, professional service. Delivered bike to Margate on same day. Let us test drive around the block multiple times while making adjustments to seats, chains, etc Only downside is their markup relative to MSRP was almost $200, and they were not interested in giving us a break. Mark at the Margate bike shop says he doesnt mark up relative to MSRP, but since he had no tandems in stock, we couldnt put that to the test.

We got a flat tire on our single Bob stroller while vacationing and the gentleman at this shop fixed it up for us quickly and at a reasonable price. He was very kind and helpful. Great shop!

I took my sons bike there to have one crank repaired and a wheel changed.paid 160.00,ok.Then had to bring the bike back three timesto get the crank issue resolved at which I was told it was mysons fault.Then my son was told that the owner hoped he didnt see my son back there again.Hes 14,Be advised, they are not mechanics, just parts changers...since we were charged an additional 70.00 we wont be going back ther for business.Too bad, since i was dumb enough to already spend over 300.00 this past year there.
