Keep it local... Asylum is great. Guys were really nice to our 10 year old whose “Santa” given board wasn’t working right. They were quick and easy to talk with. They listened to our son who explained his issue.

I’ve lived in Oceanside my whole life and always loved coming to asylum skate shop. I got my first complete set up here as a kid, and frequently came back to get shoes. Today I entered their raffle like I always do, but today was different. I won! I immediately headed over to the shop, where they were very chill and helpful. I recommend following asylum on Instagram to stay posted on new stuff, and highly recommend shopping here. Thanks again guys! -Dylan

Very nice very helpful. Comfortable shop that has helpful and knowledgeable people. Getting back into skateboarding after over 20 years. Got me everything I needed. I bought one thing that had a problem and they fixed it right away. The problem had nothing to do with them FYI

My husband and I visited this store while visiting over Christmas, the staff were so welcoming and engaged in great conversation while we shopped. They made some great suggestions of other places to check out over our trip and appreciate the inside scoop! Hope to visit you guys again soon!

Tons of clothes for guys! Great selection of shoes to get. Also a skate section in the back for all your needs for your board and wheels. Right next to the beach too!All the guys are super chill and ready to help.

I strolled into this shop not to buy a skateboard but a hat for my adult son. Asylum and the 3 other stores I went to did not have the hat I was looking for, however when I left Asylum one of the employees actually chased me down and told me where I could get this OC logoed hat. I dont remember the name of the other 3 shops I visited that day that did not offer any help but I remember Asylum for the help they gave me.... even though I wasnt looking for a board. This old surfer will never forget that act of kindness and where it came from. Asylum is a class act!

Honestly a very nice shop I was very happy until I realized that the thrasher shirt I bought did not say thrasher it said tharsher I am from out of town so I am not able to return the shirt but do not go to this shop

Was there for approximately 15 minutes and there was no one there to assist me so I decided to leave, walked by later and peeked in to see if I could come back and noticed there was still no one there so I did not bother going in.
