I’m not the social media, search engine optimization, twitter etc. type but I’m compelled to speak up in this case. For the record, outside of the event referenced in “Sythya’s” review, I am in no way affiliated with Argiservices or any of the organizations staff, business affiliates etc. However I was there when this alleged “humiliation” took place and for that reason I am writing a review/statement of my own about Agriservices.I am working my butt off in an effort to get a legitimate education and the Mira Costa program is top-notch. The horticultural department, faculty and staff, go out of their way to serve the needs of students by establishing and maintaining professional relationships with organizations like Agriservices.The caveat is, relationships maintained to benefit student intellectual development in this way exist in “the real world”, and are run by “real” people. Successful entrepreneurs aren’t hard wired to tiptoe around the developing self-esteems of those living in “abstract worlds”. So like it or not an education doesn’t always come within the four walls of a class room, and in my opinion Sythya got a free and very valuable lesson! No one demeaned or insulted Sythya’s intelligence, he simply got a modest dose of no-nonsense reality.I am a serious horticulture student fortunate enough to been fed lunch, free of charge, and given an inside look at a very local “private” business directly relatable to my field of study. I feel obliged to follow-up on this bit of misinformation in an effort to set the record straight for a business owner and very professional staff that went out of the way to accommodate my peers and I.
