Ran down here to grab some cotija cheese and guacamole for a dish I was making! Love that theres a local authentic market so close. Super easy to pop in and out with exactly what you need without having to go into a major grocery store. Reasonable prices too! I was super happy and my dish turned out great 👍

Primo Market is the best! The bountifully stocked, convenient neighborhood market is truly an essential part of South Oceanside’s vibrant little community. The mouth watering weekend BBQ & their famous Taco Tuesday’s are highlighted by the friendly, funny, efficient team of workers who keep that place running like a well oiled machine. Took my visiting kids to have dinner. The food was good but the guy that we ordered from was rude. When we asked for forks to eat our food we got a mean response and had to wait, then asked for napkins and we got one apiece! Needless to say my kids werent impressed at one of the oldest Mexican food places in Oceanside!

Please disregard other reviews noting the quality of this establishment as the food is overpriced for being such low quality along with selling their customers spoiled meats. Unfortunately I can’t even say the service was good as the women working behind the counter have terrible attitudes.Save your time, money and immunity.

Best Mexican comida !

Yesterday I ordered a tri-tip sandwich on a roll and it was horrible. I kinda like it simple, with grilled onion and yellow mustard. First the cashier tells me they have no mustard, not like, were out of it, but, like we dont carry it. Second, the meat was cut too thin, thus dry, and over seasoned with what I can only describe as taco seasoni g. I couldnt taste the tri tip, which is what I am paying for. No excuse for serving such a meal meal.

Awesome market. Love the marinated meats for grilling and combine that with their house made Aguachile cevice- bomb. Also have all the essentials for reasonable pricing. Solid Latin foods + bodega

Saw a super hot blond women there today. Big tips. Small waist...shes was fire.Oh the meat here is the best in oceanside. Also got a good beer selection. Try the shirt ribs and salsa.

I like a neighborhood market as much as the next person but this one is just ok. 3 stars bc they DO have nice choices for great grilling- meats and fresh veggies at decent prices, which is always a good thing! The not so great is the walk up window outside which is always crowded w mask-less people waiting, gathering, and eating and to be honest, food from it is hit or miss. Also, homemade food inside (like guacamole) runs expensive. And although they have signs saying face coverings are required inside, enforcement is nill. Just watched a woman w no mask or intention of putting one on, stroll right on in.

Small market with lots of convenience items! And, close to where we stayed so it was really convenient...was surprised to find a meat counter and butcher, plus pre seasoned meats...the Al Pastor seasoned pork was amazing!

Best tacos Ive had in Southern California! I got the #4, two chicken tacos and two carne asada tacos. Got home and paired it with a classic Corona with lime.They take USD and card. Incredible.

It is a GREAT place. I bought a lot there. They have a lot to offer. The only place my CA family shops for the meat for their table.

This place is awesome. Great tacos, excellent variety of local beers and other alcohol. Local market with reasonable prices. If you want to support Oceanside and the neighborhood, shop and eat here. Would easily give 5 stars if you could drink on the patio! Good people working here.

The carnitas plate is a miracle.Primo Market should show up under restaurants, not just under grocery stores.

The Tuesday s tacos for 69 cents are great but the long wait for today August 21 2018 was out of ordinary. I arrived at 4pm i ordered the 69 cents tacos then i went inside the store to do an additional shopping, by the time i was done they usually have my tacos ready but this time they were not ready and is not because they had more customers, it was about the same amount of customers in the previous time i was there . i dont know what happened today the guy at the register and the cook were too slow at 5 pm i requested my money back i couldnt wait any longer.

I go here most Tuesdays for the 69 cent tacos - the best Ive found in North County! Worth the wait, but of youre starving, theres the market. Its great also! Go get yourself an appetizer!

Bought some fresh fruit plate but it wasnt at all fresh. It was so bad my birds even refused to eat it.

I love this place. I come here all the time.Their beer selection is great and the meat section is on point.The food from the restaurant is OK. It tastes good, but it takes too long to order and way too long to get your food.Also, the beverage fridge is a few degrees too warm, so if you like cold beers youll need to throw them into the fridge before drinking.All in all, this is an awesome traditional mexican market with super friendly staff.

The market is small but has a big variety of products, including both big name brands and locally made products (try the chips and dips!) The taco shop on the side of the market is killer. Great tacos and other Mexican food, and very cheap prices. Wait times can be a bit longer than other fast food places, especially on taco Tuesdays(69 cent tacos!), but its definitely worth it.

I’ve gone here since I was 12. Used to love it. Now, every time I come home, they get my order wrong, have raised the prices ($6 for a bean and cheese?!), and hardly give me any sauce.

Well I came here because a friend always has her Tuesday tacos and really said Id love the food its not too far from a lot of the other stores right there on coast highway d a v a beauty salon just your right here on the coast and the beaches actually beautiful scenery if I were new to town want to go somewhere and get some Mexican food I would definitely come to primos market it got excellent prices for fruits vegetables and meats an excellent customer service

If you have never been to Primos, you have to stop in to get a feel for what a real Mexican market looks and smells like. They also have a fast food location next to the parking lot although the food does NOT come out fast.
