Tried this place looking for some good Italian food and I wish I would have come here sooner. This is one hell of a great Italian deli small little place but tons of food from the chicken cutlets to the meatballs and eggplant and the eggplant capunata was probably one of the best I ever had and I’m very picky with that but these guys make I’d amazing definitely will be coming back great place great people!

Most things are always in stock, the place is spacious, impeccably clean and checkout is always a breeze. Love it here!

Well I found this lovely store 2 weeks ago. I purchased a vodka sauce and some ravolli. When I served it to my husband he said what restaurant is this from? He said its the best he had in his 54 years on this earth. My husband and his best friend used to own an Italian restaurant in howard Beach so he knows food. Today I bought some burgers and salads omg, everything was amazing. They are friendly and helpful The mozzarella melts in your mouth. I will be a customer for life!! I give it 10 stars, Must try their fresh pasta too!

We recently used A&S to cater an outdoor gathering. We ordered a split 6’ hero, a few hot trays, sides etc...The food arrived hot and everything was fresh and delicious. My guests were complimenting the food all afternoon. I was very happy with the outcome and will definitely be using them again when the need arises

The reason that I hesitated to write my review is because I want to keep A&S in Oceanside a secret for my family !!!! We became patrons in the 1980’s when Anthony’s father ran the store. You see the tomato sauce and cuisine at A&S is almost identical to my family’s from Naples. The meat, pork, veal and chicken are always fresh. The bread comes from Brooklyn, of course. We have catered from A&S for every single large party, holidays and even smaller events! Every patron says the same thing, « it’s dangerous to go in the store hungry because you want to buy everything ! ». Special thank you for all of the staff, in the kitchen and at the counter, they are warm, friendly and they slice my cold cuts to order. Bravissimo, A&S!

Catered from here on Labor Day weekend and food was AMAZING. Delivery was quick and on time👍👍👍👍... my absolute favorite bbq short ribs and stuffed rigatoni/meat sauce...... OMG can’t wait to order again from here

Its a really good Italian Fine Food Deli. They have a great antipasto and fresh meats daily as well as sausage rings and raviolis. Everything you would expect. The staff is excellent too.

It is the most amazing place I love the food the people who work there they never cease to amaze me or my family we go every single time my family comes down from Ohio and my other family who lives right down the street from the store go at least three or four times a week I am going back again on Wednesday and Im sure as much more as I can before I leave

Absolutely delightful. They are so accommodating, had our order ready for pick up. And packed beautifully. And the quality of everything we ever purchased there is firt rate.

This used to be a great fine foods store. Sadly it is not any longer. Before today, it had been about 18 months since I was there. The selection of meats and cheeses has been narrowed significantly. The high end products that they carry have also been greatly diminished. Sad.

Very tasty pasta and friendly employees! I also enjoyed the atmosphere very much. Didnt reserve a table in advance so had to wait for an hour but totally worth it.

Ive been going here since I was really little and love the food. They recently redid the store and it has a much better feel inside. There are some great specialty products and a great selection of foods to buy. It will come at a pretty penny though.

I’ve ordered the same thing from this store before and it was great, unfortunately this time I ordered a 6’hero with macaroni & potatoe salad and coleslaw with soda and plates. This was delivered on time by a&s as a gift to a business about an hour after it arrived I received a call from the business saying the hero is great but the salads are sour. With this I called a&s and after going on that he could not understand that etc. it came down to that they were going to deliver new salads he did say he was very busy but that he would get them there. Trusting them I went on with my day and called the next day only to find out they did nothing. I called and asked for at least some money off the bill since I looked like a jerk having bad food delivered there as a gift I was told NO. Last time I use or recommend A&S.

Came from Valleystream because I kept hearing from friends about this place...... staff was friendly and helpful, food is AMAZING, meats,cheeses, breads,specialty dishes, OMG, If you want REAL Quality italian foods...This is the spot, I will be back.

Felt very rushed by owner or manager. He bagged most of the items l bought while shopping even though l told him l wanted to see what l.pucked out. 5 seasoned employees in store which was empty and l was waited on by a new kid who was too unsure to make me feel comfortable. Next time if there is a next time l will ask for Paulie who used to work in rvc store.

Food is very good. Eggplant lasagna tis excellent. However, I agree though with the review below. Some guy there put things aside when I asked the price; cut huge piece of lasagna when I wanted a smaller one, etc. Walked out with a $25 tab for two items; but good is usually expensive around here, so I leave with a smile with my yummy food a little poorer!

It took 2 1/2 hours for sandwiches to be delivered. Cold meatball parm on soggy bread, drinks not cold, sides missing. Disaster. Never again

Bad experience. They gave me the wrong and incomplete order. Didn’t include the sides. When we went back, they basically told us it was out fault and we were to blame. No apologies or attempt to make it better. Not that they care, but I won’t be back
