Buy from another small business instead, or even Amazon if you have to - they will have a much more reasonable return policy!Unfortunately, the Palomar store Rep was deceptive in his communication on the return policy, and overall, Palomar has a very unreasonable return policy - at least on rollators, though I suspect also their other products.Purchased this $300 rollator for my father who was not able to go to the store to pick it out. We asked the store clerk whether we could return the rollator if it didnt fit my dad, who is 6 2. The clerk said oh of course, though we have a 10% restocking fee. Just bring it back with the receipt. I said thats fine - I know restocking fees are common. He did not say we had 2 days (though we met that criteria anyway), did NOT say we could not bring it back if my dad used it, and said nothing about the wheels needing to be in pristine condition. First of all, I dont know how my dad was supposed to determine if its a good fit for him if he doesnt use it at least a little bit!!As I said, I brought the rollator back 2 days later since the it was uncomfortably low. The handles were in the highest position and the device says it will fit someone 6 2 which is not true. Since my dad is prideful and didnt really want to use a rollator in the first place, the only places he tried it out were in our house which has slate floors (approx. total 20 yards around our 1000 sq. ft condo) and walking on the sidewalk to the car (a 75 yard walk from our condo front door to our parking spot). I also wheeled the rollator to my car when bringing it out to return it to the store, and then wheeled it from my car into the store. By the time I entered the store, there was a little dry dirt on the wheels from the sidewalk wheeling.I approached the same clerk who sold us the unit to let him know we wanted to return it because it is too low for my dad. He glanced at the tires and immediately said oh, no, I cant take this back - its been used! What surprised me was that he was so emotional about it! I said he only used it walking down a sidewalk once, and just a little bit around the house to test it out to make sure it fit!.The clerk retorted theres no way this was used on a side walk one time. I said well its true!. Of COURSE, I didnt count MY wheeling it out of the store to my car, then from the car to my house the day of purchase, and the reverse the day I returned it - how does that count as using it??At any rate, the clerk angrily grabbed a rag and spray bottle from the counter and gave a half-hearted attempt at wiping one of the front wheels. Then he said Theres no way thats coming off, and theres wear on the wheels. I cant re-sell that - its not resell-able! My boss is going to be back tomorrow and hell fire me (or maybe he said kill me) if I take that back! And besides, look on your receipt. It says items cannot be returned if theyve been used.He seemed on the verge of tears, so I left, rather than watch a grown man cry. I almost felt sorry for him, until later when I remembered that he never told us the items could not be used when I specifically asked about the return policy. Again, how does one know if a rollator is a good fit if one doesnt use it at least a little bit??When I got it home, I gave the wheels a good cleaning (what I assumed my $30 restocking fee would have paid the clerk to do). The pictures are posted. Do those wheels look to you like they render the unit unsellable? They look perfectly sellable to me!AVOID this place.
I bought a CPAP machine, he said it wasnt on the recall list, I looked it up later cuz the salesman seemed sketchy, sure enough it was. The guy says you know what I mean after every sentence, really bizarre.... He wouldnt give refund, now i have to deal with shipping and not to mention, the hazardous health effects that I might have ingested from a DEFECTIVE CPAP. thanks kook
Wasnt looking for the most expensive or cheapest item just best value for my hard earned money. Kim took the time, showed me complete line available with an explanation of each & why I might or might not want to purchase. Was knowledgeable, patient & extremely thorough. I did purchase the best product & value for my elderly Mother & would certainly return again. Highly recommend you check it out if youre looking for best fit & value for your purchase in various medical supplies.
Warning Warning!!!! Find another Medical Supply Company. I bought a cushion for my wife to sit on. I purchased it on 3/26/19. She tried it for about 10 minutes and said it did not fit her right so I returned it on 3/30/19 the owner refused to refund. Stating her terms were 2 days to get a refund. She then accused me of using it until my wife recovered then returning it. There is absolutely no way she had any knowledge of how long it was used. I WAS a GOOD customer and had purchased over $1000 of medical supplies in 2018. There are oother medical supply companies that will now get my business. I am very dissatisfied. Rating ZERO if they would let me.
Very knowledgeable staff member. Had any kind of wheelchair, crutches, walker, leg scooters, motorized scooter (3 wheel or 4 wheel). All were available to buy or rent. They also carry medical supplies, portable toilets for like bedside.I saw many different type of braces available as well as the boots you would get after a cast. They also carry some surgical supplies sch as scalpels an such.
Cashier was very rude and sold me a very inferior bandage wrap for my injured knee. I was told it was thick and durable and did not have a box just given to me in a tiny shrink-wrapped roll. Come home to find out that when I put it on the Velcro at the end to secure it rips the thin material so you could not use it more than once or twice without ripping the ultra-thin fabric. I paid $12 and change for something so thin and weak it couldnt support the knee of a small child. The cashier had the gall to tell me over and over how durable and sturdy it was. I called him today to let him know how cheaply it was made and how it ripped so easily, only to have him say that no one else had complained about it. Perhaps he only had a few customers buy it or wrapped something tiny with it. He said once the shrink-wrap was opened it was non-returnable. He said, Okay, yeah, mhmm, alright. Basically NO customer service skills and selling cheaply made products at ridiculously high prices. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS.
Recommend! I had broken my 5th metatarsal in my left foot in January, and then broke my right 5th metatarsal on the same darn stepping stone in March. I wouldnt be able to walk for a while, let alone drive. I was hesitant to use Palomar because of some of the reviews, but my experience was great. I recommend asking for Christian to help you. Hes a really sweet person and you can tell he has a lot of empathy and compassion, while also trying to please his customers. I think that some people’s expectations are too high these days and when things don’t go their way even a little, they want the whole thing free. It’s not a pizza people! I rented a scooter for a good rate for the month $200 and he delivered it to my house. It worked great! Keep in mind that theres an extra charge if you get something delivered on a Saturday. Good luck!
Awesome Scooter rentals, Have rented several times and they are the best Delivered and picked up at our Hotel. I Would recommend them to all my friends. Thanks Palomar.
I needed a replacement part for my husbands CPAP machine. I called and Chris was unable to help me over the phone, I drove over with the item so I could order the right part. Chris didnt know anything about it and asked me what model, what type, etc., when I had it right in front of him. When I didnt get know the answers, he asked me, Do you know ANYTHING? I should have walked out right then. He finally found the part. When i went to pick it up, instead of ordering the whole headpiece, it turns out, he only ordered one part and then charged me $70 (the cost for the whole thing!). I paid it and complained but the manager didnt offer any apology or anything when I said how he treated me. DONT GO HERE! Try Apria Healthcare in Vista. Theyll do better for you.
I am a VA Caregiver and was looking to rent a hospital bed for my Disabled Veteran who had fallen a fracture a vertebrae and was being discharged from the hospital at Camp Pendleton and I needed the bed for that night, Tuesday. At first they seemed very cooperative but would not be able to help that day, then called back and offered after hours delivery of a hospital bed, then called back again and they had a cancelled delivery and would I be available in 30 mins. He delivered it, put it together, his language included offensive words during our conversation while he was setting up. Then on top of the bed rental, rental fee, you need to purchase a mattress cover and fitted sheet. My Veteran came home the next day and the bed was totally unusable. He sat on it and it sunk in the middle. They promised to deliver a firmer, better mattress, never called back, not even the next day. This is not going to work for a patient with a broken back and in a brace. He called and they had a very upsetting encounter with the cussing and yelling, which caused my veteran a great deal of pain. THe delivery person said I had lied about him cussing. When I called Thursday and spoke to him he admitted cussing and said he had apologized right after to me. No he did not. He told me he could only knock $75 dollars off the rental per his manager. Seriously, you deliver an unusable bed and charge me for your bad equipment that was never used. The total bill was $208 dollars. I will not be referring anyone to them.
Rip off
Awesome place to buy supplies
Very rude person and dont recommend ever coming to this location.
