This bad review goes straight to Karyn on the brow bar.She’s a really unprofessional person, she canceled my appointment then reschedule me and when I showed up she started working on someone else.Definitely she can’t manage either her time or just follow a schedule.There’s people like me and a lot of women with just the right time to make it back to work and the worst thing is that she don’t even care!She only said “oh sorry” and kept working like nothingStore Manager didn’t solve anything he just didn’t know what to do!Definitely not going back.
Four days after receiving an email about a new item being in stock, I found out its in the store BUT in the back. I guess its difficult to open a box and give good customer service. This store has an unfriendly and unhelpful staff, will not be returning to this store.
I was extremely upset at how lazy these workers are! I really wanted to get some limited time offer products at the store. The limited time product that I had wanted was the Cocoapebbles @pebblescereal x @iheartrevoulution collection. I had to ask around because I could not find it in the store. Once I went to ask this manager she had talked to another co-worker and I had heard that it was in fact in the back, but they didnt want to go back there just for us to purchase this limited time product.
Add stated free gift so I bought two and wouldn’t you know it, they were all out of free gifts! Don’t advertise it if you can’t deliver!!!!
Check the expiration dates!!! Clearly they DO NOT and have zero problem selling out of date products in hopes that people will not look at the dates. My mistake was checking AFTER I got home, when I usually do it prior to purchase. We shouldnt have to at all. This is two months OLD. What else are you selling out of date, at full price? Will be returning this item and will not be returning here to shop.Edit 11/14/18: I went to the Ulta in Lubbock to exchange this item for one that was not expired. The date on the new product is dated to expire in march of 2020! This is more like it. Esther the GM at Ulta Odessa said they have a system that lets them know when a product is close to being out of date. Esther, your system is broken.
Do yourself a favor drive to Midland! Pour customer service, rude manager don’t waist you time and money at this location.

Im not a regular here, but when I stopped in I was helped very quickly and with patience.
I’ve been to this ultra two times to get my hair done by Nicole and each time I have left very happy. She is so sweet and very easy and enjoyable to talk to. I’m a really shy person and struggle to communicate what I want in a haircut so I appreciate the fact that she is so outgoing and easy to communicate with. Each time I have left I have felt both beautiful and confident. I look forward to seeing Nicole the next time I need to get my hair done.

I rarely leave bad reviews but today as I was shopping with my mom, two employees on the floor were watching us like hawks. It was uncomfortable and annoying. If my mom didnt need the product she was looking for, we would of taken our business elsewhere. The cashiers were very nice and professional.

Went in to get my hair color treated and trimmed. I was dreading it, because its been a million years since Ive had it professionally done. The girl who did my hair was so good. Her personality was exceptional. She made me feel so at home and like we were friends already. She did exactly what I was wanting. She has a light hand and didnt pull my hair. Phenomenal work, Elise. Ill most definitely be back there and requesting her again!! Not sure if shell ever see this, but Thank You so much! I love my hair!!!!

They are always so helpful here. The store is always clean and the people are friendly. They have anything you would need beauty wise. Both name brand and drug store. Plus they always have great deals and coupons. I really recommend it.

I ordered curbside and had to call the store because I was not sure how to proceed since the email did not contain any actual instructions on their procedures. There was a small underlined see your pickup options link that shows the entire list of stores filtered by state with again absolutely no significant information. Also in the email there is a click here link that is not underlined or easily identifiable as a link, but it is clickable and just fyi that goes to the same exact website of locations with no info. Great Job Ulta, you were so close but yet still disappointing just like your dirty misused samples.Now back to my phone call with Mrs. Customer Service, she told me to just pull up to the curb, and then paused (weirdly) so I inquired about her needing my order number, she said just the name, I told her and she said ok and proceeded to hang up the phone... after a bit of clumsy banging, guess actual phones are harder to operate than cell phones. Who knew?! We pulled over to the actual curb near the doors and pretty quickly an employee did come out of the store (wow) she asked for a photo id, but no polite hello or how is your day that must be reserved for inside the store conversation. But I could totally tell she was very interested in my overall ULTA experience, like when I asked if she was the employee that hung up on me she let out this low grumble that almost sounded like she cared. I am just so impressed - Odessa Ulta you really outdid yourselves, you truly know how to treat your customers.

If you are looking to book an appointment for a service in the hair salon...BEWARE! The stylists are unprofessional and seem to lack basic training. Its really hit or miss. You may get a good cut..you may not. They complain about having to drive so far to work for so little pay. They also complain about certain clients and how difficult their hair is to cut. It makes you feel so uncomfortable because you know when you leave, they WILL talk about YOU. Also, there is LOTS of turnover. If you luck out and get a good stylist NEVER expect to get them again. I have ALWAYS booked in advance only to get there and be told my stylist quit. And they WILL not notify you so you waste YOUR time driving there only to be turned away. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place all together!!
The white hairstylist there seem a little racist like she didnt want to wash my hair, barely touch my hair. Never had that problem before. Maybe they need to hired a black person to do service black people. I will not be returning. I never had a problem with white before when it came to my hair.
Absolutely lacking knowledge on their own policies after I had to call customer service to sort out options. If I had to place an online order for skin care or make up again it will only be from Sephora.
I had a bad experience in this store. The sales lied to me to let me buy the product. When I was hesitant to buy a hair dying products, she told me that you can get refund if you are not satisfied with the color after using the product. But when I come to return today, the other sales told me that you cannot get refund after using.

When I first walked in it was very busy but that didnt stop this one lady from greeting me and assisting me with a great smile.
The girls inside were super nice and helpful. The only issue I had was the morphe area. There were only a couple display palettes and the palette I wanted looked like it had a purple shadow in the picture, but upon opening and inspecting the palette, the shadow was blue. And yall need more selection for colorpop.

Went to purchase a $100 gift card for my wife and was told to leave because I didn’t have a face mask. I will never buy anything from Ulta ever again or any business promotes this foolishness.

The worst haircut I have ever had in my life was at this Ulta. She didnt use a cape to start, didnt blend the hair, it was uneven, and burned my scalp with hot water during the shampoo. Horrible customer service and they never have enough staff. Its sad to see an Ulta in such a sad state.

Very annoyed at this location. I was in today after driving an hour and a half SPECIFICALLY to take advantage of the buy two get two Ulta collection products and to get my husband new cologne. Only to get home and find that I did not have my 4 products and after checking my receipt, I was charged for 3 products instead of my b2g2. The sale ends today which is the reason I am so peeved because I don’t really have the time to drive back and forth to Odessa all day for makeup I sat on the counter to purchase in the first place. I tried to call them 5 separate times with no answer every time. I called guest services and they said that since the sale ended today that I would still have to come into the store to exchange and rebuy. I let them know that I could not get ahold of the store, as I was trying to figure out if they could get me in and out and have the product, the cashier neglected to scan and put into my bag, behind the counter if I were to drive the hour and a half back to Odessa to get ONE PRODUCT. To some this may not seem like such a big deal, but the fact no one at this location knows how to answer a ringing phone and having to pay $12 more than I probably had to is very annoying. I’ve previously worked for Ulta and I always liked it and I understand mistakes happen but usually at cash wrap it is noticed and fixed then and if it isn’t someone at least answers the phone! ANNOYING!

Ive had a couple of experiences where the staff is rude or simply mean mugs me. I called to see if they had the Lorac Mega Pro 3 in stock and the lady said no. I was going to drive to midland but decided to stop by anyway and it was the last one there! Im assuming she wanted it for herself.

Ive never received a smile or helpful attitude from anyone working in this store. I have heard the lifeless welcome to Ulta from the cashiers that dont even look your way as you walk in. I did make the mistake of interrupting a manager while she was chatting with coworkers and asked her to help me match my makeup during one visit. With an annoyed gesture came over and started harshly rubbing foundation on my face and asked me, What it wrong with your skin? I explained to her that I had an autoimmune disease that caused dry skin (hence, why I was changing foundations) and she snarkily commented that I needed to take care of my skin. Obviously that was the last time I ever went into that store.

Worst place ever ! Made a make up and hair appt . The girl didn’t even know how to do makeup . you would think them being makeup artist they would know what there doing, my eyebrows looked like check marks . I literally went home and took it off and did it myself . The need more staff the cashier only charged me for my hair when I told her my amount was $56 dollars she insisted and I was in a hurry to leave so I paid the amount she gave me . After a few mins and me already on the road I get vocicemails that I need to go back and pay . Seriously ?!?! When I told her my amount was wrong what a manager and badass make up artist Alexa “purple” hair does the best eyebrows
Terrible haircut/color experience here....they need to hire a more experienced salon staff. I had to pay a lot of money for something that turned out completely uneven and poorly done. Will not be going back.
I like the brands they carry. The store is clean and organized. The only thing I find annoying is that the employees will ask me if I need help about three times every 20 minutes.

I don’t think they ask for anything but a diploma when they hire estheticians here. Had an old lady screw up my eyebrows so bad, don’t know how long it will take to grow them back out. They are now shaped differently, lengths aren’t the same, and way too thin. Seriously went in looking like Brooke Sheilds and came out looking like breakdown Britney.
I got a haircut from a new girl there that was working at the one in midland tx..But started working there the one in odessa tx..And she cut all my bangs off and chopped it all up.. I didnt even ask for that..she was to busy talking more then cutting..I have cut my hair here before and the girl did great!! I will never go back..I rather go to El Paso tx..and spend 300.00 to travel and cut it there..NEVER AGAIN..I HATE MY HAIR SO MUCH I DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT THE HELL TO WITH IT..SHE SHOULD NOT BE WORKING THERE!!!!
Went in for eyeliner. Waited ten minutes to check out and was then told I MUST have or make an acct in order to purchase my $2.99 eyeliner that I can also purchase at Wal-Mart. No thanks. I told the clueless clerk that I want going to make an acct, I left my items on the counter and left. Wont be returning. This is why I only shop online.
