Small, the clerk was super helpful though. The produce I got was fresh. Seems to have a big selection. I wish there were more natural ingredients though. All the sauces are what I can find at a supermarket. I was looking for fish sauce without sugar and there werent any there, or the grocery store though....I had to find it online.
Great little shop. They have most if not all of the ingredients I need for the Asian recipes I make. Im deducting a couple of stars for the simple reason that every time I come here, theyre not open according to the posted hours. NEVER. Today is the final straw. They are supposed to open at 9, I show up at 10:30 to a sign on the door that the shop wont open til 11. Ok fine. I go grab some coffee and come back. It is now 11:12 and the store still isnt open. I live a half hour away, so going home and coming back later is not really an option. Bad business, in my opinion, but since this is the nearest Asian market, I have little choice but to come here.
Its a small grocery store but it has fresh Bok Choy, fresh Thai peppers and other fresh vegetables. It is a Thai store which is rare and has great unique items you wont find other places. They have been so nice and helpful. When I was in the store they helped a couple find the right rice and vegetables to cook a dish they were trying to make. Very honest and great prices.
I used to come to this place a lot. I started watching the woman ring me up and she was charging me to for extra items I didnt purchase. I thought it was a mistake until it happen every time I came in. This latest time I came in. I had a gentleman in front of me at the registrar. She rang him and I was next. She looked at me and slowly started to walk away. She turned away from me and walked over to another counter and started to eat. About 2 mins later she says Ill be right with. I thought possible she had a bad day. Obviously not a bad day every time I come in. That was extremely rude and unprofessional. I will never ever take my business her again.
Its a nice little Asian grocer in the middle of Ogden. Pretty good selection for the size of the store.
I hear theyre closing soon, and I am sad, because they are a very underappreciated store, especially for those who enjoy Asian cooking. I dont know where I will go now to find ingredients for my Filipino cooking.
Amazing variety of items. The owners are very helpful and will help you find ingredients for any recipes you are experimenting with.
Best store to get Asian ingredients you cant find anywhere else
Good selection find something new every time .
Friendly and helpful staff, decent selection for store size.
Great place for all those hard to find Asian spices.
They have a good variety of food and the staff is attentive.
I liketheir food items, but also I like their non food items. such as their Kiwibrand peeler, it is the best in the world. and also their bamboo steamer, it is so cute and great for steam vegetables. I have ordered a teaset it is so beautiful, came from the village famous for their pottery, I was so surprised. I think the owner Jasmineis so smart, she knew how to get the best. she also a great cook. so she has great knowledge about used which seasoning. so someday if you come to store. just ask her for help, she is so nice will helping you to gather the items you need.
I was about to rate this place pretty medium - probably not even enough to actually rate here - just leave well enough alone. But I went on a thursday - when they dont open till 1PM and it was 1PM when they let me in. This meant that things were not quite stocked. So they persisted in asking me what I wanted - or if I needed any help. Me being very knowledgeable about Asian Groceries and hating to be asked silly questions kept saying NO (leave me alone under my breath). But what I was to discover was that all the things I was looking for were being stocked - especially the fresh herbs, like rice paddy herb (Limnophila aromatica). This place is not huge, nor heavily stocked (overstock=stale and old), but you can get just about anything you need - SE Asian wise - and if you cant ask - they can get it for you. They even said they would deliver to Logan (other side of the mountains) - if I ordered enough! I came home with a huge supply of greens and herbs along with coconut milk (nothing added), etc. Even found some baby green mangos! Prices are a little higher than SLC, but hey - I dont have to drive the extra 90 miles RT.
Learned what to buy to make sushi from the proprietor of the store. Thank you@
