I am the groom and was an assistant to my (now) wife while Maleka was applying mehndi.As the groom, the day’s battle was maintaining schedules and logistic planning. When those plans fell apart because of unforeseen situations (delays in meetings, traffic, etc), we had to shift our schedule with Maleka. Maleka was very understanding of the fluctuations and she adjusted her schedule to make sure she did the mehndi for my wife, mother-in-law, and my mom. We shared our stories with her, shared a lot of laughs, and we had a great experience with Maleka! Maleka is professional, very confident in her craft, compassionate, lends a wonderful listening ear, and provided great instructions on the mehndi! The Red Bank Public Library was pleased to host Art Henna by Maleka in September when we did a Live program at the Library, before hosting an Author Talk with Alka Joshi who wrote the book The Henna Artist.Maleka was a joy to work with.
