As soon as I walked into the store, the sale staff asked me if they could help me. I was guided to the vegan curly hair products and vegan makeup that I was looking for. Theres a great selection of products for every hair type and makeup for every skin tone.

The hairdressers at this place are the best Ive ever seen. They did the most amazing job at dying my hair blue. Id recommend them to anybody! Ill never go anywhere else.

The store is clean and organized a bit pricey but thats all of the Ulta stores.. just felt like the employees were very quiet and not helpful.

I loved my stylist at my last visit. I had visited once in the past before like years ago & it just wasnt the right hairdresser for me personally. My second visit in May 21 was with a new male hairdresser & I can not for the life of me recall his name I am so sorry thats extremely rude of me ugh. But hey, in my defense it was our first encounter after all.He was very attentive to concerns, made me feel beautiful walking out with healthy, voluminous, lively hair. Was a charm to talk to since as we all know it can be a bit nerve-wrecking the first service with a new hairdresser, or I at least hope Im not alone! Lol. He actually was generous enough to give me some shampoo/conditioner educating facts. Chop shop advice (a.k.a supercuts) that butchered my hair back before the first Ulta visit.Was by far the most interesting, comfortable & compassionate service I have ever experienced so far in the 24 years Ive been on earth.I do not see him as an option for service anymore & I have never felt so crushed. I really do hope he returns as he did seem to be quite the traveller living the dream life. I truly hope thats what he is continuing to do because people like him deserve it. He put his 100% into my self esteem,& that my friends..is an unfortunate rarity.If I do not see his name eventually I will call for any update on his return. If he does not, I probably wont go back to Ulta for hair services.My first experience was not & would not be worth $50+ ..

Holly was fantastic! I’ve been looking for years to find the right place to get my brows done. She was friendly, funny, knowledgeable and made my brows look great! Definitely will be returning regularly!

Great selection of diverse, high quality products- knowledgeable, personable staff. Cant go wrong. Inside and curbside pick-up, in- store shopping with good safety and social distancing protocols. Online is great as well. 👍👍

Had an appointment, Holly was a little late or maybe I was way to early not quite sure,but I had to wait an extra 1/2 hour cuz someone didnt turn on the wax... somewhat inconvenient but we did manage to get to my other appointments on time even with the setback.

I’ve been here many times over the past few years and have dealt with some seriously snarky employees. But the past several months I’ve only had positive experiences at this store. Everyone’s super friendly, helpful, and following all the covid protocols graciously. Also thank you Kylie (spelling?) and the other girls for helping me find my phone in the store!

I usually don’t write bad reviews but I am pretty unhappy with how my hair came out. I showed a picture of what I wanted my hair to look like. Because of the shade of blonde I wanted, I needed to be lightened a lot / could take multiple times, I completely understood. But I told the stylist that I wanted baby lights at my roots, not big streaky chunks. My roots are 4 different shades of blonde and streaky. On top of that, part of my eyebrow was legit dyed blonde in the process and the stylist noticed and didn’t offer to fix it. I was clearly unhappy when it was all blown out and I was finished but I didn’t really get any sympathy. I have an appointment scheduled in two weeks and I’m cancelling.

I feel like a kid in a candy store every time I go to Ulta beauty. Theres always someone theyre willing to help you out make suggestions or just help you find what youre looking for. I actually got my eyebrows tinted for the first time, and Im absolutely thrilled with the results.

I love the people most of all! From my stylist (Sara-Raye) to the staff I always am greeted with a smile! One of my favorite things about this store is that they always remind me of coupons I may have and specials. Sean who is one of the managers is so polite and very personable. Always a good experience.

I love this store. Wide variety of beauty products (with testers!) and tools to look at. Employees are very helpful and now I can recommend the salon as well. McKenzie did an amazing job on my new haircut today! I came in with a photo and we talked about what I wanted and she made it happen. She told me what kind of product to use to maintain the style (without forcing me to buy an expensive product like some other salons do). I had a less enjoyable experience at a different location and am so happy I decided to give the Ulta Salon another chance. I highly recommend McKenzie for an awesome cut and style.

I love ULTA! There is not one person there that doesnt appear to love their job. Its a great environment to shop in.

Asked for an Ariel like red and left with a dark maroon red. Paid 230$ for nothing, I knew I should’ve just done it at home. I told the lady my hair WILL NOT react well too the hairdryer and what does she do? Uses it. She got the dye all over my forehead and neck and it looks horrible. Literally crying over it lol.

Went to Ulta Old Saybrook this past Saturday. Taylor was very helpful helping me find a great foundation- she also matched my skin tone perfectly. Helped me with other products as well. Very knowledgeable and very nice. Naomi at the brow bar was also great. She did a great job and was helpful about products as well. Overall, very happy with my experience!

Best place to get all your hair products. I have naturally curly hair and they have a variety to choose from for any curl type. And for any hair style. Cant say enough good things about Ulta.

This location didnt carry the product I was looking for, but one of the associates, Shawn I think was his name, was wonderful. He was friendly and tried his best to recommend other products. Took off two stars because the cashier, Sarah, was very rude and treated both me and my friend as an inconvenience rather than customers. Didnt say anything to me except, Give me your phone number and once I declined signing up for a membership became silent and cold. Wished her a nice day to no response. Overall beautiful location.

The Manager in the Old Saybrook location, he is top notch. Non judgemental he is willing to listen to your needs and suggest solutions. Most employees need to really follow his management, non judgemental attitude, treat each client with the respect, follow your leader that has outstanding qualities.

It was good and I plan on going back.

These Ladies are great! I went to Ulta in Old Saybrook last week for a cut & color with Sarah M.. The color did not turn out the way I expected. They were able to get me in the very next day to rectify the issue. Sarah M. knew exactly what to do to get me to a color that worked well for me. Heidi was fantastic and supportive on the phone when I called in a panic and Caitlin gave a great assist! Thank you Ulta in Old Saybrook. XO

I have only been in the store once so can not honestly rate it. The staff was very helpful and friendly the day I was there so will give it 4 stars for first impressions. The only other review appears to be from a stylist (?) who feels threatened by Ulta in some way. I would imagine that big chains might make it hard for small salons however, I know what it takes for a happy client to leave a stylist in a local salon..it never happens. Women will travel miles to stay with someone who knows how to give them a good cut and style. I really dont think Ulta is that big of a threat to the small salons in the area....really.

They have great stock but I was really hoping to get some help and there seemed to be no one working except for one girl at the register.

I came to the store for particular product which they did not carry any longer they did however order it for me and it was delivered directly to my home.

Awesome place to go to for all your beauty needs. I went in to buy something that was considwred scarce in many ultas in the area. Customer service is top notch here, ulta in manchester has to learn customer service from this store.

Check out was perfect but the gal that was helping us was less than perfect. Walked away from us without saying a word. Strange!

Had my stubborn!!!hair full head highlights,plus cut$157.00! But! McKenzie really knew my hair and what I wanted!! There was no way I could have done that job at home. She ended up using all the blue toner because my brown to blonde Jennifer Ashton hair likes to turn orange first and needs tone. PLUS!! She had to use heat!! And matrix says No HeAT! But my hair doesnt fall out,its just wants to be a redhead!😄😄. Great people here!!! Know their stuff! Shawn the manager, is so funny and helpful and honestly tells you what looks good, which is great!! I love you guys!! Thanks Kenzie for a awesome day and head of blonde! My husband loves it!!😘😘

Went for a second time for a curly perm so far not to happy !!! it looks like my hair is just wrinkled, flat on top there is no bouncy curlsI went in after I had set my hair it was curly and I like the way it looks that was November 22 2015, bad perm ???? so I am going to ? deal with it for a few dayswell I washed my hair today 1/1/16 its been 6 days since I got my redo ( I think it was a bad perm )I dont know if they even know what they are doingAll I know Is that I havet any luck with ULTA BEAUTY
