The Knit is the most progressive yarn shop in eastern CT! Betty is the most knowledgeable and creative person I know! Always willing to make suggestions and give advice so your project turns out exactly as you want it to! Love the natural fiber yarns she sells as well as fun novelty yarns for that one-of-a-kind project! Definitely worth the trip from anywhere to delight your senses and get your creative juices flowing.

Adorable shop. The owner is so helpful and knowledgeable. Any time I have a question she takes the time to make sure I understand before I leave the shop. Her selection of yarn is the best around. For a knitter, it’s like being a kid in a candy shop.

Stopped in to The Knit today to pick up some yarn for a few knitting projects and Betty was extremely helpful. She took the time to answer all my questions and was extremely knowledgable about all the different yarns she has in the shop and helped me make some selections. The store carries a large variety of high end and very beautiful yarns that will leave you feeling like a kid in a candy shop and leaving with a wish list for the next time you visit. Highly recommend!

This is such an amazing shop, Betty is very knowledgeable and was able to help me pick out the yarns I needed for my project - which turned out beautifully. I also went along to some of the ‘knitalongs’ to improve my knitting - I’ve learnt so much and met an amazing group of knitters! I wish I’d found this shop years ago!!!
