Very cool place with plenty of selection. Its fun to see what treasures they have hidden around the store. Its not a very organized store and products are spread out and sometimes out in odd places, but the staff is friendly and are eager to assist!

Best place ever, I found a really nice pair of womens gloves that hold the heat in. Hubby bought a pile of fishing lures. Good deals today. They always have something that catches my eye when I go there.

What a great spot for hunting and fishing goods, and anything else youd expect at a shop like this. I didnt have a lot of hope for it, having moved up here from York where I had access to the Kittery Trading Post. I saw how small this was in comparison and had low expectations. They certainly took me by surprise! They are very well stocked and have more room inside than it looked like from the outside, partly because they also have a room downstairs. Their prices are marked up a bit, but its worth it for the convenience.

Friendly knowledgeable staff. They offer live minnows for the ice fishing season. Their streamer and tandem flies are hand tied by local Maine craftsmen. They offer plenty of gifts for the ladies in your family. The gun dept is well stocked with ammo and equipment. You will find high quality weapons at low prices. Its worth driving a little further to save big money. They have a clothing and discount dept down stairs. Bring the family to see the stuffed animals. Buy your fishing outfit therd and Dave will fill the reel with new line. Melissa stocks a wide variety of trout and salmon lures for casting and trolling. This is not your topical bass shop but they do offer worms and jigs. Theres huge plugs for pike and muskie. Stripper lures are popular starting in June. Call and ask for Tony or Dave to ask about hunting and guns.

Yesterday, 4/18/20, was my first time there. I wanted to buy a handgun and did a lot of research before going. I am a first time handgun owner. The staff was great, the background check took about ten minutes, at most. Their price for the M&P9 Shield EZ was the lowest, even among online, reputable sellers. Thank you Stimulus $$, and the opportunity to support a local business with local employees. They were also meticulous in COVID-19 precautions.

Great spot for your outdoor needs

Old Town Trading Post is the real deal. Its not gigantic and shiney and new, but it is authentic. A log building with creaky wood floors and everything the Maine sportsman needs. Best of all is the service. Got a question about the difference between .444 Marlin and 45-70 govt? They wont just tell theyll take boxes off the shelf & show you. Terrific service.

Great place to shop for anyone who enjoys the North Maine woods! They have an impressive selection of firearms and fishing supplies . They also stock live bait including smelts, and they will seal them with a burst of oxygen to help them survive your journey to the lake. The ambiance and service will leave you looking forward to your next visit. Also, if you are towing a trailer you can drive around back to get in and out easy!

Im not always in the market for guns and ammo, but when I am I stop here. Being a training post, youre never sure what youll find. Theres always fishing gear, both open water and ice. Outdoor sporting goods like snowshoes and crampons. Nice hunting cabin atmosphere. Ample parking. And its right by the interstate.

Very good quality and the prices are competitive with other like stores you can also obtain valuable information here as well and also sell hunting/fishing licenses. They have a vast array of fly fishing equipment including hundreds of flies and wonderful fishing rods. They also have a great selection of hunting knives and lots of accessories to go along with the firearms including ammo & Gun care items. The store is nicely decorated as well with mounts and pictures of past prizes of their customers I also believe you can have your animals weighed and tagged I would highly recommend this business for any outdoor enthusiast whether it be for hunting or fishing or camping and hiking more than likely they have just what you need if they dont they can point you in the right direction
