I have to tell you that Ive had one of the best shopping experiences Ive ever had do to a young man named Tyler he went out of his way to try and help me with what I was looking for. Too bad that your inventory was off showed you had it but you didnt but thats okay. It happens that way sometimes. But truly a most Pleasant shopping experience if all your employees are as good as Tyler you guys are batting a thousand!

Came here looking for a new golf bag caddie for sons college team. Found 1 on the shelf. The whole golf section was wiped out. Needed a cart so decided to purchase. Was going to spend more than necessary but had to have it. Gotti the checkout and the guy said it was 75% off due to clearance. Ended up being a great deal and spent much less than anticipated. Thanks to good staffing.

I felt like a criminal after I paid for my pistol, my pistol was given to another person to escort me and hand it to me at the front door. When I got to my truck there was no receipt in the folder so I had to go back inside the store to find the receipt which was still at the register. It seems that I was rushed out without full and complete customer services moreover I felt that I was profile as a black man who just spent a thousand dollars in academy sports. Perhaps I am wrong but I experienced these emotions throughout my visit. It would be good to hear please and thank you doing my purchase. Terri was the cashier.

Always liked this store. Plenty of visits never had a real problem. Shelves are sometimes emptier then you would want but expected around this area

I walked in got immediate service and was out the door in 10 minutes. Happy with my purchase.

I purchased a small handgun... before I went to the store I had looked online and saw what I wanted... when I got there they didnt have that particular weapon on display. I asked about it and was told they were out. I got home and called back because online said they had it. The person that answered the phone said they had it. That weapon was not out earlier. I am disappointed because I didnt get what I originally wanted. I called the store and the female manager couldnt and didnt have a solution that would help me... oh well I guess this is a price a CUSTOMER has to pay. (Wasted money) never again at Achademy Sports...

Friendly staff willing to help. Scanners had glitched and was offline but we still found everythin we needed.

Probably one of my favorite stores ever. The employees are very nice and helpful. The store has a huge selection on sporting goods and outdoor items. Most of the time, they have really great deals and lower prices compared to their competitors.

Looked online at weapons before I came to the store. Once I arrived and spoke with the salesman about the online products he kept responding like it was his first day on the job. ALSO the online information and in-store products were not in sync.

This was a very disappointing visit to Academy. I went specifically for an exercise ball to use in my home physical therapy, but they didnt carry it.I am physically disabled and depend on the motorized scooters in large stores. When I first walked in, I noticed they had 1 manual wheelchair (which I cannot use) and one motorized scooter like you would find at Walmart. The single scooter they had was completely dead, facing the wrong way, and not plugged in; even though there were 3 employees standing right at the front doors. I can handle the unavailability of an item Im searching for, especially during these times, but being forced to walk the best I can, and then to be let down on top of it, that was hard.I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because there was a young man who helped me look for my item after I went back to the front and asked for help. He was very polite and courteous, and sincere in his apologies that they didnt have my item in stock.Side note: I ended up picking one up at CVS of all places for about $2 😂TL:DR Not very handicap friendly store, a nice kid employee, bought the item I wanted at CVS instead.

Customer service was great. Every department i went in they were attentive assuring i was able to find everything I needed.

I gave it a 3 because I was in with my sister who is disabled. We were looking for a recumbent bike for her. We spent about 20 min inside struggling with fitting her for a bike that would be comfortable for her and no one ever came to help so we left.

Pretty nice staff helpful. Got in and got out thats all I care about.

The building is always clean, and most things are easily accessible. Customer service is excellent. If something isnt in stock, staff is willing to help you order it. And give you options to pick it up or have it shipped directly to your home. Absolutely happy with Academy.

It was fast and easy. However as I was walking in, I asked an employee if they had any bicycles available and the employee said, No, we are all out. Luckily I went in anyways to look and low and behold, there were some bikes on the racks. Not once did anyone ask to help me and there were plenty of employees hanging out and goofing off at the front of the store. Like I said, fast and easy for me. I am going to rate this a 2 star only because the store did have the bike I wanted to get.

Its 11:00 am on Thursday morning and Ive placed two calls to two different extensions one of which was the operator. Twenty plus rings to first department with no answer and second call to operator also with no answer. If I ran my business this way it wouldnt exist any longer. Shop locally! I would rather spend a few dollars more and support our local businesses.

I was able to find the item I was looking for without assistance but when it came time to find an associate to answer some kayak questions there were none to be found. The check out line was extremely long and have been the last few times I was in there but with this pandemic and people finally getting out and about this is to be expected. The staff at Academy have always been friendly, courteous and knowledgeable and even with everything going on as well as the store being shorthanded I had a good experience there.

I answered 15 questions and 6 ofem was my last four of my ss# n I still didnt receive a discount on my purchase. Total waste of my time.

Their shelves are half empty like all the rest of the stores in this town

Thank you Kristi Foster for your help on June 5th, I called about a issue with a shoe order and her and a manager helped with the problem. I didnt have to wait and wait like I would have any other store, this store was fast and very friendly, I live in Illinois so I couldnt just get in the car and drive to Mississippi, so they were nice enough to overnight the item so my son could use them for hiking on the weekend. So you should definitely consider visiting this store. I appreciate all your help 💛

First time in here everyone was helpful. Store had amazing sales, it was a nice little drive but worth it. My mom were looking for a certain support shoe it wasnt available but the clerk made sure to help is oder some right at the cash register.

Its ok but as far as weights and workout stuff they do not have the essentials such as a bench or even a bar. Most the workout/exercise section is bare. They need to do a better job at keeping it in stock.

My first experience in this store was great. Didnt have to search for assistance and checkout was fast and friendly. I will shop here again!
