Dont be fooled by the good reviews.1-Returned car to me with check engine light on, they refused to take responsibility and I had to pay for the repair.2-My rear brakes were completely gone. Braking over 50 resulted in the entire car shaking. I brought it in, they test drove it and said the brakes were fine. I had to go to another shop.

Quickly finished my brake and AC repair with a same day walk-in appointment, all for a great price. Awesome customer service with professional and knowledgeable technicians. Im a very happy customer and will be going to Graeves for all my car maintenance needs.

Despite what locals claim I find Graeves to be over priced and the quality to be sub par. Paid ~$560 for an oil change and 50k tune up because I was in a rush for a trip. The service wasnt that great. Instead of using synthetic oil they used regular oil (didnt even ask) but reset the car as if synthetic oil was used. My wife would assume the car will tell her when to change oil next, but that would be 3000 extra miles when the car says to do it next. They took an extra day to do the work and never called the number provided. The price was too high. Maybe coupons make it better but did not have any. About a decade ago they did such an awful job with my brakes I learned to do them myself. I wont be going back again. Other places offer better service at a better price.

They were very friendly and helpful. They were able to get my motorcycle in for a state inspection with no reservations, it was done while i waited. Awesome customer service.

This is a very nice place for auto repairs and tire installations. We purchased a set of 4 Cooper tires from Graves and had them installed on our Highlander. Great workmanship and pleasant staff. Chris was very nice to work with. My only concern was that they didnt provide the alignment sheet to show the before and after settings. Highly-recommended !!!

I was on my way to work early in the morning, and got a flat tire due to a nail sticking into it. The gentlemen at Graeves took me in at 6am - an hour before they were open, to help me get back on the road. Their service was swift, and the guys that helped me were super friendly and helpful. Unbeatable service.

If you have a minivan, Graeves has an expert on sliding doors. Very knowledgeable and does a great job. We had a stuck door and now it works great.

I give Graeves Auto & Tire the highest compliment you can give your car mechanic, because they deserve it. I trust them to do the right thing for the right price, as quickly as possible. I live in Leisure World, Georgia Ave at Norbeck Road. It is just a short drive up the road to Olney. I have a high mileage car. They keep me reliably on the road, doing work that is required and they tell me when something doesn’t need to be done. It’s nice not to worry you if you are doing the right thing I leave every time feeling confident in their work and their price.

Very helpful, friendly and professional! I took my car here for an initial evaluation, after sliding off the road in the snow. They did a thorough inspection and looked at the “unseen” (not body/cosmetic) damages caused when I hit a guard rail. Gave great advice on likely damage to steering rack (bent) and I felt well informed to take next steps to do repairs at another facility since they did not have the computer systems to fully do repairs. AND mind you they did all of this at absolutely no cost. Thank you!

Fantastic auto shop, my family have been customers for at least twenty years and Ill remain a customer for at least twenty more. Theres a stigma about crooked mechanics, this isnt the place for that. Weve always been treated fairly and honestly, once a dealership pressured my sister to sell her car, which was making a grinding sound, for a discount on a lease only for Graeves to find it was just a loose heat shield in the undercarriage. If you want a working car and piece of mind this is the place, first class service and top notch customer service.

I took my car to Graves after having a terrible experience at my Nissan dealership that I had been taken my car to for service for 7 years. I had to take it back to the Nissan dealership three times for a brake repair issue I was having. They wanted to replace my ABS actuator that was going to be very costly, and I didnt think it needed to be done. I brought my car to Graves and they called me back the next morning informing me that my back brakes needed to be fixed and that would fix my low pedal issue I was having. Clearly the dealership never checked this issue.Graves replaced my back brakes in a few hours, had it ready for me within the same day and I did not have to end up paying $1,300.00 to have my ABS actuator replaced when that wasnt even what was wrong and would not have fixed it. I am very thankful for the professional, quick and responsive service that I received from Graves. If I didnt live so far away I would take my car there all the time. I would highly recommend Graves to anyone!

Pretty good experience so far over 5 different service trips covering new tires, alignments, transmission fluid exchange and oil changes for multiple cars. Not the cheapest but not the most expensive. Always friendly. Would recommend them because they seem trustworthy so far.UPDATE - Have been there at least 3 more times (lots of teenager cars) and they are still doing a great job. Would highly recommend for all types of work.

I’m leaving a poor review because they are NOT enforcing Maryland’s executive order to wear masks. When I dropped off my car, there was an employee not wearing a mask and walked directly by me, nonchalantly. When I picked up my car the next day, a customer was standing at the counter for an extended period of time without a mask. Not one employee asked him to wear a mask to enforce the policy. I’m a healthcare worker, so this is infuriating. Their customer service and mechanical work is great, and I was happy to support a small business. Kyle is a gem, but I won’t be using their services moving forward. They should strongly consider more mask policy signage. I’m very disappointed in them.

This place is awesome. I’ve used this shop a few times for patching my tires, because my tires seem to be magnets for nails. Each time I’ve been in they have been super friendly and waited no more than 30 mins. Super fast, super friendly and it’s a great shop all around.

This morning I hit the curb making a turn and blew out my tire. I was able to pull into an alley and ahead of me saw tires. I couldn’t believe how lucky I was! I walked over and inquired if they could help. A young man named Calvin stopped what he was doing to come and help me. My car is a lease and I am rather naive to car issues so one of the men inside recommended that I check w my dealer before putting on a new tire. I had to go back to the dealer but Calvin put the spare on for me free of charge. The man inside was also so kind. They easily could have sold me a tire but were sensitive to my situation and instead offered great advice and helped me out of kindness. I was having such a stressful morning and left Graves with a smile on my face as they were so kind and helpful. We hear so much negativity but they certainly demonstrate humanity and honesty. I don’t live close to their shop but will certainly make the drive to use them in the future. Thank you Calvin and to the others that helped!

Took my Honda Fit in there because it wouldnt start. Waited a total of 3 work days (5 days total and they clearly didnt care that I wanted it sooner than later) for them to assume it was the battery.. The battery was changed which even though they clearly werent certain if that was the problem. One day and more than seven hundred dollars later (230 or so for the battery and service, and just under 500 in rental car fees over the Labor Day weekend because they took so long to get to it) I have the same problem and nothing has changed. My car wont start and it has the same symptoms. So it will be Graeves Auto never again.

I don’t usually get my tires here but I might just start!I had a flat tire and I stopped at the nearest gas station to fill my tire and I noticed that the screw to my air was gone so I stopped at tire pros to buy an extra screw for the air and the gentleman gave me one for free. If you value your vehicle and depend upon your car then please do not take to this shop. I took my car in for a state inspection, picked it up and its been running poorly ever since. For starters when they came back to get me it was in a different car that they assumed was mine. I have taken my car back to them atleast three times explaining that its not even running the same. It runs terribly now. The only answer I can get is that since the check engine light is not on then its no problem. Then, lastly I was given directions off the lot. I have vehicle car inspection and practically ruined vehicle thanks to this shop. I would not recommend them to work on a tricycle and would never recommend them. Go at own risk.

This auto shop impresses again and again—small-town business that seems to embrace good service, honest quotes and will work with owners who want to do some of the easier work on their own. I’ve fallen for a couple Groupon offers in the past, and I was just recently burned...again...by another major auto chain. I then had to come to Graeves to get the issue fixed, and they are always willing to work with me for a fair price. I won’t go anywhere else from now on—thanks, Graeves!

I love taking my car (Honda Odyssey) to Graeves, they do a great job in communicating whats going on and they understand you have an income so they work with what you can do and even help come up with a plan. I always get my oil change here and everyone is very professional and enjoys helping. They are honest and I never feel like they are trying to squeeze me for more than what I have.They also have moving trucks you can rent and they have lots of coupons and vouchers. I very much feel like they do their best to give their customers the best deal or find creative ways to give them a good deal. Its been family run for a long time and they care about the customer and are know what they are talking about. They do a good job of meeting the customer where they are at and helping them.Parking could be better as its limited, but because they do such a good job, its always busy, call ahead and make an appointment and be prepared to not be with your call all day, they do their best to get it done quick, but they want to get it right as well.

I called Graeves this morning about fixing a slow leak in a tire. Despite being a busy Saturday morning, they said to bring it in and they could address it in an hour. Sure enough, an hour later, I was on my way with a patched tire. And they did it for no cost :)

When the tire to my horse trailer blew and I was left stranded by AAA on the side of the road (I discovered that day that trailers arent included with AAA membership) I was frantic and in a area that I did not know at all. I googled tire centers and Graeves had great reviews. I called them to ask if they could take me if I could get some how get there and they said sure. I slowly made the trip to Graeves and they did not disappoint. They replaced the tire right away and I was back on the road within the hour! Friendly and professional service (the CLEAN bathroom was a bonus!) - HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Graves is wonderful, as always. Low tire light came on again, but not due to cold weather. They just removed a roofing nail from the RR tire and plugged it at NO CHARGE!

I try to do most of my car maintenance myself. Over the weekend I was attempting to install a hitch on our minivan. What shouldve been a 45 minute project ballooned in to a 3+ hour nightmare. As hard as I tried, I couldnt get 2 of the 6 bolts to line up correctly. I reluctantly took my van to Graeves (on the recommendation of a friend) this morning thinking they would gouge me for having to drill and tap the weld nuts or have to fabricate something to get this hitch to attach properly. When I got there, they were super polite and said theyd get it done same day. They didnt seem concerned and werent trying to give me a false sense of the gravity of the situation. They called me an hour or so later and told me it was done. I asked them what the cost was expecting the worst. $20!!! Yep. Twenty dollars!!! You cant get lunch for $20 and I got them to put my van up on a lift and correct my mistakes. The facility is clean, the staff is courteous and helpful and theres even some cool retro chotskies in the waiting area. I couldnt be happier. Graeves has earned all of my business.

Kyle and his crew run a fair and honest operation here. I run a service department in Virginia, but my parents (locals) need something closer to home. After quality checking their work and their charges, these guys are for sure top notch. If youre looking for honest technicians in the Olney area, you would do well to give Graeves a try!They have a very nice waiting area (for an independent shop) and many restaurant options are within walking distance.

Stopped at mailbox and car locked me out. Called Graeves at closing time and a mechanic came and managed to get the car unlocked and would accept no payment. He advised me to always leave the window open a little whenever I make a stop like this and now I always do. On three separate occasions air was getting low in a tire and I stopped at Graeves and they removed a nail and made the repair on the spot and would accept no payment. It has always been my experience that the staff are courteous and professional, maintenance and repairs are done in a timely manner and prices are very fair. When I need to leave my car for service, Graeves even gives me a ride to work and then delivers my car back to me. Beautiful customer service! Everything positive and nothing negative to say about Graeves. I trust them implicitly.

Had a screw stuck in the tire. Called my Mercedes dealer and was told they dont fix tires and can replace it for $350. Came to Graeves in the morning, got it fixed before noon, with no charge at all!! I would give 10 stars for their prompt service and kindness.

Ive been going to Graves for the past ten years and have always received wonderful service from these guys. Even though Ive moved away, Ive had to take my car in for some minor work when Ive been back in town to visit. Their service is always prompt and the quality of their work is top notch. Theyre a business that obviously prides themselves on custom service and in turn offers many complimentary services such as plugging holes in tires, changing break lights, etc. Will be back if Im ever in the area again and in need of work on my car.

I called Thursday to see if I could bring my car in Friday for a MD state inspection, they say If youre in by 8am, it should be done by the end of the day. Great, so I go in at 7:45am on Friday, drop the car off, and get a verbal confirmation that it will be ready by the end of the day. I call around 4:30pm, and ask if the car has been inspected, and they say No, but it may be ready tomorrow(Saturday) by the afternoon...they dont sound committed, and there is a heavy use of qualifiers. I had called a week earlier to try and schedule an inspection, and at that time, they had told me that they dont do MD state inspections on the weekend...so at this point, it looks like they might be planning to sit on my car and do nothing until Monday, but arent being forthright about it. I go to pick up the car, and it isnt parked where I left it, its not in any of the work areas either. A staff member drives it up from around the back.Graeves was a strange experience, and unfortunately a waste of time. If they cant do a routine inspection in a day, and then arent honest about when they will get to it, I cant imagine how it would be to actually get repair work done there. My impression is that the issues I experienced lay with front of house staff and Management. Gotta do better to be honest with customers about how long they will be without their car, especially when the expectation is set that theyll have it back by days end.

I moved to the area a couple of months ago and have used this place a couple of times. Ive been very impressed by the professionalism, cleanliness and service of this place. The first use was for AC repair, and their work was on time, on budget and performed correctly. The second time i had a puncture in my tire and they fixed it (patched from the interior, like it should be done) and did it for no charge!!! (dealership charged me $50 last time).You get the sense that these folks take real pride in their work and their family owned business.

Terrible service. Dropped it off Sunday evening for inspection so it could be ready for pick up the following day. Come to find they were going to take an EXTRA day to fix a handle that opens the hood. Ive never had to leave my car at a shop for TWO nights. Also charged me almost $100 just to fix the latch. Told them to forget about fixing the latch and to just inspect it. Guess what the bill came to? $160!!! I asked what they were charging an extra $100 for, and they told me it was to get the hood open for inspection. I never agreed to this! This place is TERRIBLE AND EXTREMELY OVERPRICED. they said my car needed $3600 of repairs to pass inspection and it literally passed 3 months ago and Ive barely put 3,000 miles on the car!!

Time and time again these guys and gals do an amazing job. This morning I pulled out of the driveway with a flat tire. A nail in the tire. I drove it (slowly) to Graeves. I told them what happened, they took my keys, I waited 22 minutes and for NO CHARGE they handed the keys back to me with a fixed, inflated tire. I will always go to Graeves for all my auto needs.

Greaves has been my go to place for auto care, service and repair, and household appliances for over 20 years. Scott and crew are always courteous and helpful. The prices are very fair and the service and work are always excellent. I trust them absolutely, never a question if the work was needed or done correctly.

They are great. Honest and will get your car moving without gouging you. Been going there 20+ years. They also have drop off service if you cant get your car there during business hours. They will also drop you off if you need.

Ive used Graeves car repair and service for 10 years and have not any problem at all. Generally, the service is for an oil change. But, I have had more expensive work done there, for example replacing the compressor for air conditioning. Are they perfect? No, but I dont believe any auto repair shop is. I found them to be trust worthy as they stand behind their work.

I have trusted Graeves in the past with one of my cars, and had a good experienced with them. I brought in my summer car, a 1994 Miata, to have a master and slave cylinder replaced (I was losing pressure in the clutch pedal, even with the car off). Having worked on this car for dozens of hours, I was confident this was the issue, but I didnt have the time to perform the work by myself so I hobbled the car to Graeves. I explained to them the symptoms and what I believed the solution was.The next day, I was told the entire transmission needed to be pulled to replace the clutch disc (which was replaced 10k miles ago), and that the hydraulics were working fine. I explained that the symptoms of a bad clutch disc didnt match with what my car was experiencing, and was rebuffed with we had our best mechanic on it and I can guarantee that is the problem. Quoted at 1000-1500 to pull the transmission. I balked, and asked for a quote for the master and slave cylinder. It was exorbitantly high, and I picked the car up a few days later. I was charged $50 to have the car checked out.As soon as I got home, I got a second person to push the clutch pedal, as I inspected the hydraulics. They were, as I had told the folks at Greaves multiple times, not functional. Eventually, I was able to find the time to fix it myself, for $60 in parts and a couple hours of labor.I always go out of my way to support local garages, but Greaves has lost my confidence. Either their best mechanic doesnt know how to diagnose the most basic of clutch problems, or they were actively trying to fleece me out of a bunch of money. Either way, I will not take any of my cars to them again. They get 2 stars for being friendly in our interactions.

Fixed my tire for free right away... On a Saturday! Ive been here before guy for tires and a warranty-repair on another set of tires and I was very happy with their service then as well. they even called Michelin for me and negotiated my case in my favor when I was worried.

Called them quite randomly about fixing a tire with a leak. I asked for a price, they said no charge! A nice gesture like this is unfortunately so rare. They fixed it and have had no issues.
