My husband and I enjoy the ability to walk in pay for the self wash of our dogs and often a nail trim. The washing area for dog washing has stairs for your dogs and are equipped with leashes, plastic aprons, various soaps, towels, brushes and blow dryers to get your dog looking clean and smelling fresh. During the covid crisis the availability of someone to trim dogs nails is not always consistent, but all in all it is a great facility.

We had a wonderful experience here for the first time. We will definitely be back. Our dog enjoyed his bath and started to relax and enjoy his scrub down and massage. I really liked that my son and I were able to give our pooch a bath. Self service wash and they offer brushes, leasing to keep the pet in the tub, several different types of shampoos and a conditioner. Our dog smells good and he is super shiny. His coat of fur is soft to the touch. They have so many different stuff to offer and they also have grooming services. We got a organic pig 🐽 nose it even had hairs on it. Our dog enjoyed his treat and was a good boy. Definitely a place to bring your pet and also have them socialize with other pets. They also offer to join their group and after so many baths you will get one free bath for your pet.

Great place to self-wash your dog. Numerous choices of shampoos included. Plenty of towels and brushes. Parking was easy. Lower priced than last place I used. Thumbs-up.

We were absolutely charmed by this place! Shane was an amazing source of information. We bought a snake and a huge variety of product ranging from dogs, to fish, to snake and reptiles. We wish there was one of these stores closer to the Tacoma/Federal Way area. Check this place out! You wont be disappointed 😊

My favorite pet store to go to! This store is exceptional, every time I come the store is clean and well organized. The bio active enclosures for the reptiles are amazing, and the husbandry for all animals in the store is excellent and appropriate for each species. The feeders and pets I have gotten at this store have always been healthy and well cared for. And the prices here are great! Very reasonable and affordable. The staff here is also amazing. At the last trip I took to this store, I talked a lot to one of the employees, Hannah, she was very kind and helpful, and provided us with lots of information. I really appreciate the kindness of everyone here. I will be coming here for a long time!

This is a great pet store! We found some awesome rawhide alternative chews for our medium dog. He has a hard time with the larger chews but we were able to find ones with a smaller width. It was perfect for him! They also have the coolest fish/aquarium section with a saltwater tank! Highly recommended!

I wash my dog here and its always great, nice high baths so my back doesnt die and lots of shampoo choices. I get my pet food and litter here, and they do case discounts on wet food and a free bag after you buy so many. Staff is always helpful and kind. Shop small yall!

Love having local options for pet supplies. We took Luna there to give her a bath between grooming appointments. Id give a 5 star rating if they had a place to clip her leash in the tub like they do at the drying station. Hard to contain a dog if you go solo unless super well behaved. Otherwise a great place for a dog wash!

First time shopper here! If I had been by myself I could had wondered around for an hour or two! Wide selection of merchandise for a wide variety of pets! Definitely my new go to pet store! Great customer service!

Usually I have an amazing experience with petworks, this past time though I did not. We adopted a pair of crested geckos from them about two weeks ago, they told us first off that they were a pair of male geckos that grew up together, which never happens as male crested geckos cannot live together peacefully. One of the males is in fact a female. We also were informed that the male dropped his tail and would grow it back eventually. This is not the case with crested geckos. Im learning this all from the vet I just took my male crested to. Who believes that he has a broken arm that isnt fresh, I am very disappointed with the amount of misinformation given to us at the time of adoption. If you are giving animals out for adoption they need to be given exams by real vets. If petworks says they have a vet that gives exams, its either a bad vet or not a very good one. Very disappointedEDIT FOR OWNER REPLYWe we also told that they were a pair surrendered to the store, and not from a breeder. Just a little more information for you! I really do enjoy the store overall .

Love this shop. We go here for fish supplies, and they have a great cat and dog section too. They cater to a lot of types of pets, so if youre looking for something specific they can probably help you out.

I come here frequently everybody is very friendly and knowledgeable. Customer service is always great. I use the self dog wash for all of my dogs the shampoos are always kept full. It is good quality shampoo and the towels are always in a good condition the sanitation of the tub area is always kept up I have never been disappointed with the cleanliness of the store.They have a large selection a pet supplies, comparable to what is available in commercial stores.

Amazing and Friendly place. Took Ranger here for a bath and he enjoyed the experience. He had his nails cut by a thoughtful and caring staff member. This place is HUGE! Wish I could have roamed around more, but I will be back!! Thanks everyone!!

Awesome customer service. Very knowledgeable staff, kind and willing to help above and beyond. They have an array of supplies for many kinds of animals: dogs, cats, birds, guinea pigs, hamsters, reptiles— even panther chameleons, exotic spiders, fish/aquarium set ups, etc. We really enjoyed seeing what this pet store had to offer. We will be back, even though it’s a good 40 min drive from home.

I’d recommend not shopping here. The employees are clearly not trained well, and are very rude. They also definitely put profit over the people in their community. The experiences I’ve had here have been uncomfortable, & have had a way better time with Mud Bay!

If you keep fish, this is the place to go! The staff here is absolutely phenomenal, everybody is very knowledgeable individuals who are all passionate and actual hobbyists themselves. Anthony is absolutely AMAZING! I came in to get set up for a pea puffer tank and he spent at least an hour talking me threw each selection, and answered every single one of my questions! In the end I left there feeling more confident then I felt after months (possibly years) of research on these little guys! I will never go anywhere else!

Our favorite pet store, always go here especially for fish, and reptiles.They also refill Co2 tanks pressurized Co2 systems.We refuse to go to any of the bigger box pet stores for live animals anymore, really glad they take good care of their fish, and their bettas properly and quarantine them when they have issues.They even have some more niche products for planted tanks such as lights, substrate and Co2 accessories.Included a picture of our most recent fish purchase.

This is my favorite pet store! They literally have EVERYTHING and the staff is so knowledgeable and friendly. I love knowing that Im giving my fur babies the best, healthy and quality products. At this point my animals eat better than me! This beautiful store has food, goodies and everything you need for all sorts of pets and critters. Plus, I never get tired of walking around checking out all the sweet and interesting animals. 10/10 would recommend!

Very cute and clean place with a great selection! However, they sell feeder rodents for reptiles but refuse to euthanize them, despite having the equipment to do so. It may seem inhumane, but euthanizing feeders before feeding reptiles is safer for the reptiles and a more peaceful passing for the feeder rodent. Edit- I’ve been informed that this practice is illegal in state, I wish the employee would have told us that instead of just saying she didn’t like doing it, things would’ve been clearer

I love the store its a very nicely decorated store and the staff are very nice although the prices are not cheap I got flea shampoo here for $15 for my dog.

Took my two boxers here recently to take advantage of their self wash stations. They supply different types of shampoo, towels, brushes, everything you need. I was very happy with the results. Ill definitely be back in the future!

Ive been pretty disappointed with the customer service here lately but the new guy in the fish section, Tyler?, was very friendly and attentive for a nice change.

If your looking for a place to wash your dog the shampoos and conditioners are average at best and the dryers are the absolute worst. Literally can get better pressure blowing on your dog your self. Won’t return.

Awesome store! Huge selection from dogs and cats to snakes and turtles! Only place I could find live worm food, and they are responsibly priced. All the staff seem knowledgeable about animals and some even specialized in a specific field. The reptile guy was very helpful and honest with their selection of turtle food that i was looking for, he really cared about my pet.

Shane is an amazing employee, always helpful if your willing to put in effort for your animals and arent just getting them without research. He is an amazing dude for animals all around. Always trust shane. Store is good I dont use it much for anything other then reptile care. From what I can tell the only downside is how the employees get treated. But the employees themselves are astounding.

They lost a good high dollar spending customer over $9....worth it petworks????I bought a tortoise for my teenager from pet works. We have had a lot of learning curves through the process. I was advised to purchase a handful of resources to keep our tortoise happy and healthy. I questioned a few items of rather or not it was necessary now due to the large amount of money I had already spent. I was made to feel it was essential for our new family member.I donated a hid (purchased elsewhere) to Pet Works that I had no use for. So much gratitude from the staff after my donation.I learned within a day that the hid I purchased at Pet Works and took home for the tortoise is too small for our little guy. I had already spent so much money and donated to the store so I figured it would be no problem to do a flat exchange for a slightly bigger hid. I asked for the difference to be waived. It was only $9 and some change. They refused. The girl running the front desk at the time told me theres no way they are going to waive the $9.So I took the hid I had tried to exchange and walked out.I will no longer be a customer at your store. Its a shame because I need to shop for my tortoise monthly for 60 years. Hope that $9 was worth losing a good loyal customer over.

This place is pretty great. Lots of good food choices for your animals, a nice variety of healthy animals for sale. Theyre not shy about detailing an animals origins.Ive gone to Shane multiple times for snake questions (got back into owning a snake after almost a decade of not) and hes been very informative and helpful.I also got to meet the owner, who did his best to answer my questions. Very nice fellow.I drive from Rochester to here for pretty much everything besides dog food, and its worth it.

Very nice store, however when I was there I was talking to an employee to decide what items I should get. he walked away in the middle of our conversation and started helping someone else. I waited 10 minutes before he came back, then again in mid conversation he says oh she will finish helping you and walked away. I wasnt very impressed with that!

Many diverse interesting creatures with staff who appear to really care and are knowledgeable about the husbandry. I didnt see any creatures that appeared to be unhealthy.They do have some birds, my personal thing is I cant stand to see something that can fly in a cage where that ability is limited, but hey 🤷 thats just me. Only reason for my 4 star rating but many are cool with it so...I buy frozen feeder mice for my snake and have never had a negative experience with that.

They are all always so helpful. They all appear to really enjoy their work and sincerely care about the animals, reptiles, and even the crickets. We need more petworks for sure!!!!

I called yesterday to talk to someone about getting my daughter set up with a little fish tank. I was immediately scolded by the guy on the phone for not taking fish seriously. Educating me on harming fish and how it isnt cool to just buy a fish for my kid. I decided to go in today and buy stuff for a beta fish after talking to friends about it. I had everything picked out, from a princess castle beta tank, to an exercise mirror and other beta items. When it came time to get the fish, Im sure the guy that i talked to the day before was the guy that helped me. He told me that all of the advertised beta items werent for beta fish. I asked him why they sell all this beta stuff in their store and he said he wasnt sure. It became a talk of his disagreements with the owners about selling certain products and he asked me to file a complaint about the products to get them out of the store. I came ready to spend a good amount of money and he told me i needed several hundred dollars to get it set up. And he argued these points in front of my 4 year old who started getting upset. He made me feel stupid and made me feel like i condone animal cruelty. I left spending nothing and will not be returning. I will happily spend my money elsewhere.

Great local downtown Olympia pet store. There is a variety of real quality items in stock....food, treats, raw, toys, training the list goes on. It has items for dog cat fish rodent rabbit and I think reptiles too.

There was very little social distancing, it doesnt help that the place is a medium sized building.Although, despite that it was really nice to see that the birds have a better cage then they did when the place first started, and seeing a larger selection of small mammal, aquatic, and bird care compared to most pet stores.

First time. It was great. Self wash for the dogs. Found wonderful treats for my allergic to everything dog. Well be returning soon.

Wow very aggressive customer service skills from staff all for a $2 fish... will just be going elsewhere for all my dog/cat/reptile/fish needs so sad. I just wanted it to be replaced because the other two fish are fine. I was going to buy more products today as well. Guess you only treat people a certain way if they dress differently.

Great business, their self-serve dog wash is really great. I take my dog here often for a nail trim, she is very shy and hates it but the staff here does an amazing job keeping her calm and happy. She also loves their selection of treats.

Staff is very knowledgeable when it come to my fish. They are my go too for answers and most of my needs to keep my fish healthy. They also carry a very wide variety of fish and are willing to order what ever youd like if they do not have it. Its one of those places you can just wonder around in for an hour and still not feel like youve explored enough.

The gentleman who helped us was very knowledgeable in a collar for our dog who walks me instead of me walking him. I came home and immediately tried it. There was a noticeable improvement.

Awesome store. They literally have everything you need for even exotic pets, and reptiles. Their bathing stations are do it yourself but it gives you access to professional grooming tools to utilize.

I really appreciate the aquarium staff answering my questions as I work on setting up new tanks. Anthony is very helpful and has pointed me towards some good fish and tools. Getting fish from a shop that actually cares about and maintains healthy stock instead of a big chain store makes all the difference. Raven helped me with a water test when there wasnt anyone working the aquarium department. I appreciated her time and her being upfront about calling back to talk to staff with more fish experience, rather than her guessing at test interpretations.

This a great place to wash your pet. The stations are not intimidating but safely restrains your dog. The price is fair and includes averting you need including many shampoos to choose from, towels, blow dryers and brushes. What I really appreciated was the waterproof apron for me. Molson doesnt look like he enjoyed it as much as I but in all fairness he doesnt like any baths.

We love going to this place, they are always helpful and knowledgeable about our pets. We have a Great Pyrenees lab mix, Albino ball python, and a very smart rat. They always know what we need.
