Just moved here from the east coast and Just good Meat was the only place I can find skirt steak. I just got done eating it off the grill it was delicious and a great cut of meat. Very friendly and helpful staff. Can’t want to go back for some more skirt steak and try some of the other cuts. Keep up the great work. See ya soon.

On a cross country RV trip and found this place on our way through Omaha. Other than finding a spot to park the RV, this was a great stop! Friendly and helpful staff and amazing/diverse selection of fresh and frozen beef, Buffalo, chicken, fish and many other choices. Our freezer is full now and we can’t wait to enjoy their products on the rest of our trip!

I always have a hard time deciding what I like most about Just Good Meat, the staff or the meat. Both! The staff is very welcoming and run a clean healthy environment, they request you wear a mask and use hand sanitizer while shopping there. If you cant wear a mask they will bring your order to your car. The meat is excellent quality and affordable. And they will cut you meat and give cooking suggestions. Im so glad we found this place.

We have always really liked this place and suggested it frequently to anyone we could, until now. I will NEVER spend another penny here again! The county mask mandate over yet they are still MAKING you wear a mask or they wont serve you. They literally come after you trying to put one on you!They apparently think they are special and do not have to comply with the ADA also!! I nicely informed the man who approached me that I was NOT able to wear a mask due to a health condition. His response was It doesnt matter you still HAVE to wear one. Um, excuse me but you are not above the law. I would have never thought that this business of all places would treat people this way. Apparently your health doesnt really matter to them and that is disappointing.Just Good meat has lost my business and recommendation forever. They may want to think twice about this stance because with that you are leaving yourself open to a nice lawsuit that you would definitely lose. That is something that could destroy a small family owned business like this.

Called to get price of smoked, cooked meat and they gave me price of raw meat.. drove all the way there in traffic for them to tell me the price was actually 3 times as much as stated on phone. Guy laughed at me and said you can’t find that price anywhere. No s***. Thanks

Lovely place, great selection. Got some tri-tip and New York strip, which were good quality. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Requiring masks as of 6-4-21 for the protection of said staff.

I was extremely disappointed in the Prime rib roast we bought here for Christmas! It must of been the absolute lowest grade prime rib I have ever bought!I have gotten way better quality at the grocery store in the past. This year I was going to buy from Kansas City steaks but thought Id stay local. Extreme mistake using these guys. There was so much grizzle and the meat was so TOUGH! I cooked it on the rare side and it was SO difficult to cut it reminded me of a chuck roast for real. I will never trust this place again. The only good part was my own garlic rub. It was tough as hell meat but tasted good. Be careful buying meat here. What a waste of money :(

Wonderful staff! Extremely great tasting meats and sides. Large selection! Smoking some chicken wings right now that I got yesterday. Prices are comparable to large chain stores. So support this local business!I’ll respond to the 1 star review below me about the mask required in the business.The aisles are a bit tight, because of the butcher tables inside. For the safety of the staff and customers they require it. I think she should look up the ADA requirements. They violated not none of them! I am a person that has a autoimmune condition. I know what I’m talking about, having to use the ADA a few times when ACTUALLY being discriminated against. You can call in a order, if you don’t want to wear a mask. Also I’m sure the next response will be HIPPA, that doesn’t cover business. Just stops medical centers from sharing your information without your consent. Both the ADA and HIPPA isn’t very long, she should read them!

Terrible experience! I live 20 min west of Omaha and called Just Food Meats before making my drive down and was never once told that we would not be able to go inside! I arrived to be told no and for me I need to see the cuts of brisket to make my selection when spending that much money on a good cut of meat to smoke. I’ve literally shopped and supported Just Good Meats for over 14 years until now. Sadly I will now take my business elsewhere and will not be shopping with them again. This was so upsetting that I’m writing this from my vehicle in their parking lot! The employee was rather rude about it also, no apologies or anything. I would fully be willing to wear a mask to enter, no issues at all with that. Apparently I wasn’t the only person that felt that way because another older gentleman went to go in and was also turned away. Lost 2 customers very quickly in a matter of minutes. How many other customers have tried to do the same thing and end up leaving? Probably more than what you realize. As the owner I would probably reevaluate how you’re doing business because this very well may not be something you recover from if you keep losing loyal customers.

We ordered the Budget Pack and the first disappointment was the ribs was this little package (not even enough for one person) then the next one was about 65% of the package was hot dogs and these are the worst hot dog I have ever had (and believe me I have had some very cheap and awful dogs). But the greatest disappointment was the amount spent on these products and the majority of it will probably not be consumed . We had a package of sausage and it was good. We have also had a few different products over the years and it has always been good. My advice to people who are thinking about purchasing a large order please try the products that will be in your order first.

Best butcher shop in Omaha!

I love getting meat from this shop. I like that they will cut and slice it to your requirement.Ive dealt with a number of their butchers now. All of them have been exceptionally friendly and helpful.When you walk in you can smell the smoked items such a smoked wings, brisket, Prime rib salmon and more!They have an assortment of what could be considered exotic meat including elk and alligator. They have lamb, ox tails and more.I found out recently they sell beef hearts. When I asked the butcher he said they are 5 lbs but you can get it in smaller portions.You can just buy dog food here. Its actually more economical than making your own as pricing is $2.99 per lb or 3.49 per lb for beef. It will include the hearts and livers. The first one is chicken based and includes ground up bones I was told. Safest way to get to your dog and you dont have to do it yourself.I buy hot pot meat (need to ask for blade flat iron shaved at the side across the grain) from there (you can use it for sukiyaki or shabu shabu) Im still working with them to perfect the cut, but they have always been accommodating.

First time customer as of 9/30/2020. I walked in felt right at home. The atmosphere was great! The prices were great, steak sizes were great. Beef Jerky was really good. I will never buy meat from Walmart again, I will get it at Just Good Meat.

One of the widest selections of meat in the local area. Seemingly able to knock out both quality and quantity of their selection, I was able to get a variety of cuts--local farm raised-- of which I have not seen in the larger quantity over quality focused grocers around town like Walmart or Hyvee. They have alligator tail for crying out loud! Talk about one of the best places to get a better raised traditional cut of beef like ribeye or strip for dinner but also to expand your horizons with more exotic animal products. The products offered and the folks working at Just Good Meat are second to none! Keep up the great work!

Family was in town for Christmas and thought JGMs prime rib roasts would be superior to the local grocers but was I wrong! My husband asked the butcher what size BONE-IN roast would serve 6 adults & 4 children. He pulled out a roast and said this is what you need. He didnt show it to my husband for approval. It was 11 1/2 pounds! The day of the dinner, we unwrapped a BONELESS roast! Making it even more of an oversell not to mention we asked for and prefer the flavor of bone-in.It had a long flat tail which we knew would not cook evenly and it was not bound as quality butchers do. Actually, a good butcher would have removed this piece.And there were more bad surprises for our Christmas dinner. It was the worst prime rib we ever had! The long flat piece, despite rolling it up, was dry as could be even though we cooked the roast to rare to medium rare. The rest of the roast was full of gristle and most of us left half of our serving on the plate...it was gristle and fat.This cost us $122.10. It wasnt worth $40 and I question if it wasnt a select grade! I have purchased much better rib roasts at our local grocer. Obviously we will not return to Just Good Meat...thats an oxymoron.

The quality of service has really gone down. Most of them are polite, some not so much. They are doing the best they can but they substitute items you didnt ask for. And because youve already paid for it and are home by the time you realize what happened. I hope this goes back to normal soon.

Love this place for good meat. They even have some more exotic meats which is great. Be advised though, due to covid 19, you either order your meat in front of the main doors or from your car, and then they bring it out to your designated parking spot. It takes a little longer, but Im just glad to have a place near me that sells lamb again

Very friendly staff who are fairly knowledgeable about meats. The prices are affordable in general, but the beef quality is above and beyond any local butchers I have visited. Great selection of obscure meats like elk. Their pork and chicken selection are pretty basic, but you are coming here for steak. Just buy a porterhouse. You’ll be back.

I make an order around 12:00 noon, for 2pm. I arrive at 2:03, wait in line outside wearing my mask until its my turn to let them know Im there. I let them know and about 20 minutes later I get my meat. Guess what Im charged an extra $50 for my order. I can understand a 5~10 discrepancy but $50? I will NOT be back, I will NOT recommend. Not when their online prices dont match in store prices. This is a scam, go support your local grocery store instead.

We were lucky enough to win KPTM Fox 42s Cutest Couple contest for Valentines Day. Just Good Meat gave us a $100 gift certificate. We got lots of great rib eyes, shrimp, corned beef and Jalapeno bacon!! The staff was very helpful, and the Rib eye we grilled was tender and juicy. Awesome place.

High quality local butcher shop. Very friendly and knowledgeable. As other reviews here have stated, they have a fine selection of fresh meats.But what I havent seen mentioned is their large selecion of specialty meats like Bison and lamb. Also a varied selection of delicious sausages all made in house. One of the only places I know in town to get English Bangers (moms fave).

Excellent local butcher that serves up quality products with great service. The prices are very good for the quality you get. I have purchased several of their meat bundles and now these are a really good value. I particularly find their pork products to be very high quality. They have a really good selection as well. I try to make it down there whenever I can.

Legendary costumer service, was moving from Alaska down to Missouri and was going to be having pig roast for a party for the 4th of july and this was the only place from point A to point B to have what we needed and got the pig to us after hours THIS MAN AND BUSINESS ARE LEGENDARY

Due to covid everything is curbside right now. The website says to pull in and park and someone will take your order. Actually you pull in and park them get out and stand in a socially distanced line to order tell them where youre parked and give them payment method. They then bring the order to your car. Knowing this would have saved me about 20 mins, but I will know next time.

As long as you don’t need anything cut, they have very good meat. However, I went there on a Sunday and they seemed more interested in watching the football game than cutting a good quality of beef. I got 2lbs of meat cut and it looked like he went out of his way to cut me 2lbs of fat.

Excellent customer service. Great quality food. I can be a picky shopper to be honest. My first visit was incredible. Employee that helped was Joe. He took his time to answer all my questions regarding quality, prices, bulk orders and catering. Also came out from behind the counter to walk and show me the different products and what they offer. He had no problem packing up my order the way I like. No meat fillers are used, everything is fresh and they do not hesitate to personalize or adjust any order !

Best butcher shop is Omaha! There’s a wide selection of items. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend the buffalo smoked wings. I put them in my air fryer and they were outstanding. The “PAT” burgers are a family favorite. It is beef, cheese, & bacon ground together. Best burger I have had. It will definitely be a weekly stop for us.

The selection here is incredible, and the employee I talked to really knew his stuff and was able to help me pick some things out.Currently, due to COVID, only employees can enter the store. You can place an order on their website for pickup or delivery, or you can visit and an employee in front of the store will take your order, then deliver it to your car in the parking lot.

Wow was going to give JGM the benefit of the doubt but they did the exact same thing to me as they did to Tawnya Wylie. I called the store to try to rectify it but they didn’t seem to care. Basically I ordered 2 racks of St Lous style ribs for carry out. The first one was fine. The second one had tendons or soft tissue attached to half of the ribs that I could feel underneath the meat. Completely grossed me out because I wasn’t expecting it. My guess is these are considered spare ribs since they are not cut to St. Louis style. But A. That’s not what I ordered and B. the “butcher” wouldn’t explain this to me, I had to look it up. All I got from asking follow up questions was two consecutive “Yeah, they’re still good to eat” replies. Judging by how tough the tendons or soft tissue is, I would have spent all afternoon smoking these bad boys only to be disappointed at the outcome. This isn’t the first issue I’ve had with JGM, but it is the first major one. I like the majority of their stuff there but when it comes to the more expert stuff, JGM falls short. I’ll probably stop in now and then, but I’ll be going to the Fareway Meat Market for my major purchases. I wish you the best of luck being local and all.

After eating the product they serve here I have found it hard to buy and enjoy any other meat product from any grocery store or other butcher shop. I dont know what they serve in Kansas City or Texas but I feel like these guys would give anyone and run for their money. These guys are legit!! Im here at least 3 times a week! Awesome the aura at this butcher shop is very old fashioned sincere and the people working there are so compassionate I was given a rib bone and my husband as well we bought the rub barbecue sauce and their own seasoning which are delicious we will definitely be returning to buy our prime rib for Thanksgiving thank you for your excellent service. I grew up with my father being a butcher in California at Farmer John and Vienna, wish my father was alive he would have loved your store cant wait to try your goat and tongue. Happy Holidays.

Wasnt good in any way, total experience. Just go to a real butcher like Stoysich on 24th or 132nd. Pull up, sign says call for service... call, it says no longer taking call in or email orders...pull up and someone will come out. Pull up right in front of the door in the #1 curbside spot. Ignored for 20 min, waving at em n saying hello with the window down, ignored, should have trusted my gut and just left right then. Get out and then wait in line with people, all of whom arrived after me, to make an order. Immediately upon returning to car to wait for said order, every single one of the people working there taking orders whod watched me waiting for 20 min, before getting out, are now one after the other approaching the vehicle in the curb side order space, now asking me if Ive been helped, even after seeing eachother do that. Glad we could be cheap entertainment for their employees. Some old guy hit another persons vehicle nearly smashing the driver between his car and open door, who also had to get out after being ignored in an instructed curb side spot, while trying to circumnavigate the moronic situation theyve created in their lot...because arrows n sh*t is too hard yo! The entire scene was just idiotic chaos from start to finish, no excuse. To top it all off, the filets being sold as filets, were obviously mock filets, or what they thought were good lookin pieces of sirloin at best, likely meat glued/bacon wrapped together. Youll get better at the super mercado downtown in crack alley, really.. A filet should be something you can just pull apart with 2 spoons with minimal effort, this garbage was chewy like shoe leather, highly doubt they were even select grade, definitely not on the better side of choice or prime. Will never return to that complete joke of an operation. Ill drive from Bennington to Stoysich in my old hood on 24th with a smile on face before ever even thinking of this place. Would make great passive aggressive gifts for a meat lover that you secretly hate. The name of the place is flat out an oxymoron

Tried to call before my wife went there.Voicemail said phone is broken and they pretty much have everything in stock just pull up with a list. Wife shows up and he says there not doing bundles. Why dont you say that in your voice recording or on your website to save someone the fuel and time...

This establishment consistently has top quality meats and a large selection of other items for your BBQ/cooking needs. The smell when walking in is amazing and the staff is always positive and friendly.

We purchased the graduation special with smoked barbecue pork, baked beans and potato salad. We all loved it. We are having no problem finishing the leftovers!

Hands down best place in town for meat!Try their smoked Prime Rib. A little more cost but amazing. Fully cooked so all you have to do is warm it up. The smokey flavor is so good.

Wonderful meats. Some prices may seem a bit high, but it is worth it for the quality. Service is always friendly and helpful. They have good deals on bundles like a bundle with x amount of steaks, some ground beef, some roasts etc. (I dont know the correct name of that.)

My favorite is the beef short ribs, I also had the porterhouse, and bacon wrapped filet. All have been excellent. I also tried some bufflo steaks very good.
