My new Equinox catalytic converters were replaced a week October 14 after I went to the General Manager about concerns while driving. Prior to learning this major part needed replacement I mentioned that upon purchase my front driver signal light bulb went out to the service department of Pre owned Sterling Automotive. The gentleman stated that it’s hard to get to in which meant I would have to leave my new vehicle without a loaner vehicle. I didn’t leave my vehicle on Monday 5 October. Also, my new vehicle wasn’t topped off with under the hood service I found upon picking it up on October 14 because windshield washer fluid hadn’t been refilled as was also sold to me without any in the reservoir. As to this day I’m yet to figure out whether my new vehicle Bluetooth app will ever connect to my iPhone which hinders me from receiving calls from my disabled Mother on my drives.

Buying a new vehicle, particularly a 2021 GMC Yukon, is far from easy during these unprecedented times. I have had my eyes on this vehicle for months and faced much adversity with other dealerships: chip shortages, scarce stock, price gouging, just to name a few. I first reached out to Spencer Daigle at Sterling Buick GMC in February 2020 and I knew from the start that he was different than any other salesman that I had worked with in the past. I cannot say enough great things about Spencer, but I will say this, he was dedicated, consistent, honest, and most of all patient with me. Which is nearly impossible to find in a salesman in today’s market. I am appreciative for all of his help for the past eight months and will be a returning customer for the years to come!

I was there for 7:30AM. to have an oil change. I was told that I would be out of there for about 8:45. Mine you that did not happen. So I gave them until 9:00 AM. Then they start coming get people telling them their vehicle was ready. This was people that came after me. So I got up and went asked where was my vehicle? They told me I would be ready in 10 minutes. 10 minutes turn to 45 minutes. So it took them two and a half hours to change my oil. No one seams to care but the little guy who brought my keys and the bill for me to pay. To me they were taking care of who they knew first. I even told them I had to go to work. I work in Lafayette. The guy who waited on me said I should be out by 8:45AM. He was nice but the others seems to care less how I felt. Mr. Gordon did apologize for the inconvenience.

My sales person (Dylan) did a fantastic job managing the sale from start to finish. Dylan was knowledgeable, informative and found the vehicle that I wanted despite current inventory hurdles. He worked with the sales manager (Zach) to close on a fair deal for both of us. Dylan also offered and handled ordering accessories after the sale. The finance guy (Rudy) found me a fantastic interest rate. Rudy was very deliberate in offering the warranty add-ons, but was not pushy, and that was appreciated.Ive purchased quite a few new vehicles in my time and this was one of the better experiences Ive had. We negotiated price, but the process did not drag on for hours like it sometimes can. When Dylan and I hit a wall in negotiations, Zach came out of his office and in less than 5 minutes we worked out a deal. At that point, Zach could read for himself that I was a serious buyer and that any effort to meet my price goal was not going to be in vain. There is added trust on both sides in face-to-face negotiations often overlooked. Although you understandably may not be able to do this with all buyers, some really appreciate this more personal communication with the final decisionmaker.I cannot conclude the story of my experience without mentioning Cory, whom I can only assume is the head PR man and sales dispatcher at the dealership. He greeted me when I first arrived on the lot with a friendly smile and a handshake. He asked if needed any help and went to the showroom to send a salesman my way. On the way out he congratulated me and even remembered my name when I returned the next day to tie up some loose ends on my purchase. Please, never allow his important role to go unappreciated and make him some business cards.

I had an appointment for 9am. I sat down until 2pm my car was still not even looked at. They only have one technician who works on electrical problems. Ridiculous!! I finally got a loaner car thanks to the Service manager that helped with that. They other guys didnt want to give me a loaner. 1:32pm they next day and my car Still NEVER been looked at. This will be my last time there if I can help it. Purchasing or maintenance 😢 Will Never recommend anyone go there!

The Oil Change I received was timely and the person handling the process was professional. However, I am still having my air pressure for the tires adjusted. The previous appointment ended with a lost valve stem cap. I know it was lost there because I always check it before handing over the keys.

5 Stars--03/03/2021-Rusty, salesman, was great, answered all of my questions. He explained or tried to explain everything I asked. He is very friendly and funny. Paperwork went quickly.3 Stars--Update-08/18/2021-Service Dept-I was there at 7:30 for scheduled appt, 1st oil change and tire rotation. They started right away. But they waited until they were finished with oil change and tire rotation to tell me there was a re-call on the sound system, and asked if I wanted to wait or re-schedule. I didnt want to make another trip so I waited. They had to download the upgrade and I didnt get out until around 9:00. They could have asked me at 7:30 and done the upgrade while they were changing the oil. Very time consuming. They need to check for re-calls or upgrades when they first start the service work. Some things can be combined and save time.

I called to get arrangements to schedule 2 types of services for my 2020 Buick. I requested an Oil Change and Detail. I did call 2 weeks out from my appointment. I was very disappointed in the inconvenience service I received during the phone call. I spoke with Amy in the Mechanic shop. I explained to her I was 6 months pregnant and coming from Sulphur, La which is an 1hr45mins away. I asked if I could get an rental while I got the services done which would take more than a day due to not being able to get my car detailed until the following day. Amy told me that she didn’t have any rentals to be able to assist me in getting both services done. I then got transferred to Body & Collision department and spoke with Jodi. Jodi was very rude by telling me my car is only a 1 year old and the vehicle didn’t need a detail this soon. Jodi had no business telling me this info on my vehicle. To turn down my service is bad for the company. No one should get treated in such a rudely manner are someone that is coming from this far away along with being pregnant to not be able to get the service that I requested. I’ve always gotten my vehicle serviced at the dealership that I buy from. I have never experienced this type of treatment from any other dealerships I’ve purchased a vehicle from. I wouldn’t recommend anyone buying a from this location.

We had received a notice from Ochsner Hospital to come for an appointment to see if my husband was a candidate for a kidney transplant. Well to our surprise the air conditioinerin our car was not cooling. We made a call to Sterling Buick and they took us that afternoon.That was Monday and we were leaving for New Orleans that Wednesday. We were very thankful for their help. On 5/13 I brought my vehicle to change the tire but service didn’t have any which I understand. Brought it back the next day after being there most of the day I went to pick it up. As I was getting into my car I noticed my window was Shattered. I spoke to the service manager and she started they it was nothing she could do. Then I spoke to sells manager. I was told that they would give me a loaner car then changed their mind after the business owner took responsibility for the glass. Rober Cook was called then I was told that there was no car’s availability. My daughter graduation form college and I had a parade therefore my window had tape on it and I could not wash. Also I have grandkids riding in the car which this glass could have fell on someone. Over the years I have bought seven cars with this company. I feel they the one making decisions pick and choose the ones that they want to help. I have seen how they help certain people.

There appears to be a change in the staff. Less than stellar performance. The team asked my wife to bring our vehicle for service on two separate days. On both days, she dropped vehicle off before 8am and would call to check on it at 430 pm and was told they didnt get to it to bring it in again This is for a tire balance issue . Unacceptable.

Amazing customer service! We were driving through town, several hours from home when we experienced some engine issues. Being the day before Thanksgiving we were very nervous about getting stranded. Troy went above and beyond! I brought my Tahoe in for an oil change and to check my engine light. He called to tell me it was two injectors....asked if I had an extended warranty, I did but I knew zero information about it. He called the dealership where I purchased my truck and handled it all! I bought a 349$ battery a few months Prior and brought my vehicle to Sterling they say the battery was bad, So I told them to keep my battery put it behind my truck, and I was going to bring the battery back, but they ended up losing it! And I didnt get my money back, just so happen this time I brought my truck over there spent another 1000 and they took off 100$ i bought truck from there over a year ago and its been in the shop over 5 times and done spent over 5 grand there just doesnt make since i wonder how long before it breaks again

Great service for oil change but it took 2 1/2 hrs. Guys took lunch and eat boudin while I was waiting. Scheduled appointment at 1030. Left at 1pm. Service manager was great but the time is really inexcusable. They should offer me a free oil change on my next visit. We will see

Had to bring my new 2021 Yukon in for 2 recalls and to recover a seat that had a tear in it before I bought it. Seat recovered looks good but not as tight as factory of course. I also told them to listen for a rattle/popping noise in my panoramic roof. Noise was not fixed. I know noises are probably hard to fix, but it’s driving me crazy, but I don’t want to bring my vehicle in another week. Getting a vehicle to use while my vehicle was there a week was definitely a bonus and Allen, the service guy called and updated me more than once. He was great. Just debating to bring my vehicle back to get the rattle in pano roof resolved. I know now that I will never buy a vehicle with a pano roof bc I have read so many problems with them. I just feel like if I’m driving a $70,000 vehicle - it shouldn’t rattle.....
