The service was great, but the appearance of store was bad. There was a tore up bench in front of the store. You could think that it represented the company. I had safety concerns, no one had a face mask on. A lot of seniors live in that area, with chronic health conditions. Other than that, service was great.

Great people, work with you and get you in and out. Got my brakes, rotors and calipers done all in one day. Great place. Highly recommend them.

I was on a roadtrip these past couple of days & got into some trouble with my car unexpectedly. My mom & I had to scramble to get our car looked at & luckily we found Mavis Tires & Brakes! Im giving stars because of all the positive comments Ive seen so far. Came to this business today with my dad who wanted to get a tire put on the rim. Walked to the service area and saw a guy coming around the white car and was gonna ask him one question and when my dad greet him...he looked my dad in the face and didnt say NOTHING and went on about his business like he wasnt standing there. So we left dont have time for people who give others the cold shoulders. Trust if the shoe was on the other foot he wouldnt like it if someone over look his family member.

The best! I was on a 7 hour road trip home from the beach and popped my tire in Orangeburg. I almost panicked but looked up to see Mavis Tire shop. I pulled in, they moved my car for me, and had my tire patched up and ready to go in less than 30 minutes. The sweetest people and best service!

I was traveling when I had a trailer tire peel apart. I called Mavis spoke with Wayne and I could not have been more happier as he had the tire I needed in stock had his staff take care of me right away. I was back on the road in no time. Thank you again for the quick great service. Note thank god it was a Thursday this happen as it was 630pm most other shops were closed. The extra hours staying open till 830pm helped me.

Definitely recommend. We stopped here on our way back to Florida, bcus we got a flat tire. They let us know that the “new tires” we were sold elsewhere were actually used and had TWO holes in them! Honest & hard working people, with good prices! It’s hard to find an honest tire shops now a days!

Got a flat with a long 9 hours to go. Wayne was the best! Got us all fixed up and back on the road in less than an hour! Everyone was super friendly and I would recommend this place to everyone!

I would think that making sure that the right amount of air is in the tires, would be a given. I give this store 3 stars because they always have very good customer service, at the desk. Is it really too much to ask, though, to just make sure the psi on tires is where it’s supposed to be? I just took 4 tires in to have them mounted. I got them home and they had less than half what they needed (45 psi when 80 is recommended). I also had my truck tires rotated, at the same time, got ready to leave for a trip, the next day, and they were also at half capacity. My tires should be at 80 psi, and they were at less than 60. I haul a trailer, and keeping my tires safe is very important to me. Seriously annoying!

David did an excellent job on my car.Anytime It’s time to get things changed he always gives me a heads up and he always gets me out on a timely fashion.

Had an appointment for 11am and once i get there I’m told i have to wait for 1hr-1hr 30 minutes. So unprofessional.

When I was driving down to Florida, and broke a wheel bearing while dodging some large debris on the highway, I didnt have the luxury of reading reviews to shop around for a mechanic. It was 4:30, most places close at 5, and my wheel was scraping badly. The folks at Mavis could have told me its too late in the day. They could have charged me too much because I didnt have a choice. My grandma was in the hospital with covid and was in really bad shape, and I needed to make it down there as soon as I could. I forgot the name of the mechanic that helped me, I think it was something like Daniel or Dennis? But he quickly diagnosed the bad bearing, made a phone call to a store that had the part, and got it delivered immediately, got it replaced immediately, and I was on my way a little after they closed, and they only charged me about what my local mechanic quoted me for. I couldnt have asked for better service. Ill probably never come back, as my time here was prompted by a very unfortunate and unexpected circumstance, but had any local mechanic treated me like this, they would have a customer for life.

We ran over a nail, plugged the tire went straight to mavis for an evaluation of the plug. They were very friendly and told us they could switch our tire off the back of the Jeep for the plugged one. Fast and efficient service. We are not from this area, however we were very well taken care of. Definitely recommend this location for local or people traveling through, if needed. Place is great Dave is an extremely well business manager. He will work with you if he can. The work gets done in a timely manner. I got shock, struts a wheel barring and an alignment. Took it in Thursday and got it back saterday. Had to wait on parts and they were extremely busy. Told Dave I needed it Sunday to go to work and he made sure that happened.

David was very informative and helped get me back on the road safely with a repair to one tire and a replacement to another. Great price and experience.

I came to get 4 new tires. I was there for about 5 hours and I was the only car. The mechanics were smoking cigarets and on a motorcycle. I spent $605.00 for poor service. I dont live in Orangeburg but I had to wait that long and drive all the way home.

Car broke down on the way home to Atlanta. Everywhere else we went to had a long wait and rude employees. Mavis immediately took our car in, and we were out in under an hour. Not to mention a beyond friendly staff and mechanics. 10/10 recommend!!!

Did not fix the problem that I went there for. Went there for brakes because my car was making a noise. And they tell me a barring was the cause of the noise. So instead of me paying $105 for my brakes I ended up playing almost $400 for a barring which was was over price. So I. Thinking the problem fixed I get down the road and hit my brakes its the same noise. And the my car starts making another sound coming from the wheel that they supposedly had fix. So I take it to Huttos come to find out its my brakes and routers im very dissatisfied

Of all the times I’ve been to Frank’s to purchase my tires, I’ve never encountered a problem until today. Apparently because I didn’t get an extra “insurance” on my tires (that covers road damage, pot holes, etc), they wanted to charge me for a new tire. Immediately perturbed, I told the manager to put the other tire back on because I didn’t have the funds to purchase a brand new tire that’s STILL under warranty from them. At first he suggested to put my spare donut on my car, but immediately took his comment back when I told him that no one has EVER told me about an extra “insurance” for their tires which would be $20 extra for each tire. They took my car back again and put my old tire (with the knot in it) back on my car. I don’t believe I’ll be returning to Frank’s “Discount” Tire.Update: this is the closest tire place that I have to go to being that I continue to purchase tires from them. Their knowledge about vehicles is astounding, but it’s always something when I go there now. No matter if I just want to go get my tires rotated, there is always something else wrong with my car. David is helpful for the most part. He knows a lot about what he’s talking about. I’m still not happy with the place, but David always helps me out by educating me on what’s going on with my vehicle.

Very professional and knowledgeable, would strongly recommend sending friends and family. These guys know what they are doing.

Gave great service quickly when I was in a bind. They had to install a new tire for me and when putting the spare back in my car they basically re-packed my full car better than I had! Recommend

Absolute slowest place Ive ever been for auto service. A 2 wheel brake job took over 2 hours. Tech couldnt stay off his cell phone long enough to get anything done. Very poor customer service. Better pack a lunch if you plan on coming here.
