It was a magnificent experience. Buckle up and Take a quick trip back to colonial times to sit down and enjoy some of George Washington’s favorite ice cream. Many different Delicious flavors constructed by the founding fathers of our country. Grab a bite as you sit on the chairs used in the Second Continental Congress and eat on top of the actual barrels thrown over board The Eleanor during the Boston Tea Party. Many different delicious flavors. Great environment. Fun place.I think the people they hired were actually from colonial times too. They look like it at least. No dress code don’t worry... you don’t have to dress up like Washington himself.
Absolutely wonderful customer service. I wish I would have gotten her name so I could give her praise by name. She took such awesome care, it was our first time and she explained everything so well, especially since the store was jam packed! The ice cream was amazing. Great texture, awesome flavors, super fun unique flavors, and just all around an awesome experience. We live over an hour away and we will definitely be making the trip back.
You need to try the dairy free ice cream, they have Oreo, Chocolate and Strawberry with Guava flavor, they are so good! I thought it wasn’t vegan for second, because it tasted just like the real thing! The staff is so friendly, they explained everything to me in detail, I love the outfits they were wearing, whoever thought about this business did a great job with the branding, thank you for the great experience, I will definitely come back!! 🙌
This place is absolutely amazing!!! The theme and making the ice cream in the shop and just everything made it absolutely amazing to go see. Definitely worth the visit if your a history fan. I got the Hamilton burr duel and it was 😩❤️ plus like who doesnt love Hamilton??
They had all of the Gluten Free flavors labeled, washed the scoop and even scooped from a full bucket in the freezer, when I asked about cross contamination. It was a busy night and yet still took the time to take care of me with my dietary restriction. I was extremely impressed. Also the Madagascar Vanilla ice cream was delicious 😋
The ice cream was AMAZING! It was creamy, they had lots of good and cool flavors, and i loved that everyone had a costume and it was just really cool!
The ice cream is so rich and fresh. Every single flavor Ive tried is awesome. Its all made in house and you can take taste it. I think the blueberry with chocolate or fresh strawberry ice creams are the best.
Great ice cream place! We were a bit overwhelmed with the menu when we first walked in and feel bad that we had to keep asking the staff to taste different ice creams, but they were super nice and very willing to grab them for us. The naming conventions were quirky, but too long to say when you ask for a sample, but it seems like the staff is used to it. All the ice cream is homemade in house and you can taste it! The flavors were delicious and I would definitely recommend for anyone that is looking for ice cream in the area!
What an amazing atmosphere and ambiance are 1776 all the way!! Colonial times eatery and employees dressed to the nines!! Fantastic Ice Cream, & very reasonable prices!! 10 out of 10!!
I was pretty disappointed in ice cream which is odd to say as a heavier person. The Atmosphere is nice as the employees are wearing colonial outfits and it has an old times interior and so it is a cute place to visit... Once. The employees were also great so a star for the employees and for the atmosphere. The ice cream itself is where I had my issues. Although the ice cream has a higher fat content than ice cream at say a grocery store and is creamier...the flavors are so muted and subtle that they arent hardly there. in many ways, the ice cream tasted like if you heard a flavor and tasted it when you thought of it. This place feels very gimicky and is not one I can see my self going to often if again.
Very pricey. My son and I got 2 scoops each . And the total was $14.00. Its good ice cream but personally nothing great.
I have heard so much about brookers. I had been to the provo one, bit decided to bring my 7 year old tonight. I took her as a surprise. She loves history so this was a fun place to bring her. She loved seeing the workers dressed up. She thought it was so cool that she could watch the guy make the ice cream. Tonight they made the vegan give me chocolate or give me death and he brought out a sample for us to try. I love that they have dairy free and vegan options. The whole experience made our time together and our night so amazing!I was very impressed with how kind the workers were to my daughter. They even took pictures with her, suggested an ice cream based on her likes, then asked if she liked it after. This is such a fun, great, family friendly, and educational place to come. I highly recommend Brookers. Thank you so much for an amazing night.
Wonderful dessert place! Stepping in to it, you almost travel back in time to the Revolution era with the style of the place and the employees dress. The ice cream is delicious, with a variety of flavors to choose from and your choice of toppings.
Great ice cream. The flavors are good and have fun names. Atmosphere is great. My wife and I enjoy dropping in for a date night.
My wife and I shared the 5 flavor sampler, we felt like it was a good size for the $11 price tag, and the staff was helpful and had a good attitude. The ice cream itself was fine, not great. The fruit flavors that I tried (strawberry and blackberry in the picture, but I also sampled peach) were fairly weak flavored, I could barely taste the fruit in them. They werent bad, but I wanted more fruit flavor in them. My favorite was the green mint chocolate chunk, but there was so much chocolate and it was so thick that I was usually left with a mouthful of chunks and didnt get to taste the mint too much. Overall, the ice cream was just fine. I will say that Im very disappointment from seeing how much negativity comes from the shops responses to unfavorable reviews on here, I find it extremely unprofessional.*Edit* the owner saw fit to respond to my review with an essay on how my opinion is objectively wrong and nonsense, further proving my point of unprofessionalism. I definitely wont be giving this place my business, purely due to the sheer amount of narcicissm and personal attacks in their response. One star quality ownership.
The ice cream here is really good. My personal favorite was the butter cake. The only thing I would suggest is reading the menu online before going. Some of the ice cream names are really long and the menu as a whole can be a bit overwhelming to read, especially if there is a line behind you. The staff are dressed in character, and extremely friendly. The decor of the shop is modern, but playing strong tributes to the historical theme of the ice cream.
Not sure why so many people give 5 stars, since it really was at the very best mildly mediocre. The only redeeming factor is that its themed and all the employees are in costume so thats kind of different and fun, but its super busy, and the ice cream is not very good, the servings are small, and way overpriced. The ice cream just tastes fake. The customer service was pretty good, the employees do a good job, but that will never make up for ice cream that just isnt very good, no one in our group finished their ice cream.
Okay, just to start, the employees were amazing! Alyssa and Sam and another guy whose name I didn’t catch were so solid! We were those annoying customers who asked for a million samples and they were incredibly patience despite the long line behind us. Always smiling and cracking jokes! Also, props to them for wearing those outfits to work everyday! You guys rock!Like I mentioned, on a Saturday evening at 9 it was busy. About a 25 minute wait. The ice cream flavors were very creative and there were a ton! I loved thinking about yummy combos of ice cream to get. The ice cream flavor was a big let down. I got the milk chocolate hazelnut and raspberry chocolate truffle. Both creative flavors but the flavors were... suppressed and not nearly as strong as they could’ve been. It was a bummer. It’s a little on the expensive side but the atmosphere is fun and clever and the employees rock!
Great place to get ice cream! I loved the ice cream and the colonial atmosphere. The mint ice cream was different than I have had elsewhere and wasn’t my favorite, but I loved the three other flavors that I ate. I have one beef... the names of the ice creams and sundaes on the menu are so stinking long that it distracts from being able to read what flavor you are actually getting. I have posted the menu so you can see the names. There is a lot of fluff before you get to the actual flavor. Even with that, I will still go back and eat here again because the ice cream is amazing. I love that even on a small serving they can give you two different flavors for your bowl.
We were met by an enthusiastic employee who had a great sense of humor. We were allowed to try as many flavors as we wanted and we (my sister and I) opted to get the five flavor boat. So good!!
Excellent ice cream with a theme. If you dont know your history, you can pick it up here and have a delicious dessert while you learn. While we were there, there was a large crowd. However, dont let this discourage you. I was more than impressed with how quickly and efficiently the staff professionally, got everyone through the line, and with just how much inside seating there is. Highly recommended for your next dessert location.
Fun atmosphere with revolutionary themed decor and staff. Great ice cream. The coconut milk substitute was also delicious.
Watched a guy try to smash thirteen scoops of ice cream with toppings then puke in a bucket! 10/10 experience. In all seriousness the ice cream here is really good and the staff dresses up in costumes reminiscent of the late 1700s. Fun place to go on a date.
Excellent customer service. The employees did a fantastic job introducing me to their flavors, and the ice cream was thick and creamy (as ice cream should be)! Definitely coming back!
Really good ice cream but very expensive. It was pretty busy when we went but the line moved pretty quick. They do have some unique flavors like black Madagascar vanilla. That was black. Trippy to eat black vanilla ice cream but it was pretty darn good. Worth it for a special night out once in a while but not a weekly or monthly thing for me
I have to say the ice cream is amazing. And its worth the price for it! But what Im having a problem with is that when I place a order for pick up. They say that they didnt receive the order and we will have to wait 20 min to get the ice cream. I can understand if this has happened once. But it has happened three times. Its just getting to the point where we will just go somewhere else, if they cant fix this problem.
Freshly hand made ice cream that will make you come back for more.First of its kind and family owned, Brookers Ice Cream in Vineyard brings ice cream and history to life. With their historical unique ice cream flavorful names too their uniforms.Stepping into their doors you will feel like you went back in time for a quick desert.Whether, you’re young or old Brookers Ice Cream has something that everyone will enjoy.Go check them out and support your local ice cream shops.
The ice cream was delicious, so dont worry about that, and the ambiance was spectacular! It has a 1776 vibe going on and my history geek side was going crazy. I actually had a hard time ordering because I was torn between flavors i like and historical names/events i am a fan of.A very fun place to visit
10/10 would eat here again, hands down. Fun experience and friendly staff. They really own the look with confidence! James Madison Constitutional Crunch is the same flavor Champ for UMD Bulldogs which is kinda fun if youre a Bulldogs fan roaming around Utah Cougar country. Hopefully the revolution continues and more people get on board for delicious, high-quality ice cream!
The ice cream was SO GOOD. I totally recommend going here. Warning, they have a lot of flavors so good luck choosing one since all of them are delicious.
Such a amazing atmosphere, incredible ice cream and great friendly staff. Gods for date night family home evening or just a simple sweet to tooth.
SUPERB ICE CREAM! Most high quality ice cream placrs are great, but the experience can feel samey. Brookers is on a different level! The decorations and costumes reminds me of something you would see at a theme park, which is fun! Usually gimmickey places such as this end at the atmosphere, but this is just the cherry on top (no pun intended). The quality of the ice cream is exceptional. Very unique flavors, and pre-mixed options which give a pizazz that is missing in some other high quality ice cream shops. I got a cookie butter combination with tiger blood ice cream. Cant get that anywhere else!
This was my first experience here. Animatedly delicious ice cream. The kids got cotton candy (of course) and I got the Mint Chocolate Chip. Wow were they both so good! I even tried the kids one and was surprised how realistically it tasted like spun sugar instead of just being nauseatingly sweet. The chocolate chunks in my ice cream were huge and soft and down right decadent. In summation, if you want to gain three pounds and have absolutely no regrets afterwards, this is the place for you. Also, I loved the themed uniforms for the employees. They looked great but their customer service was even better!
Wonderful atmosphere, incredibly tasty flavors. Absolutely the best ice cream tavern Ive ever been to
We went because someone had gift cards and we had heard it was good. It turned out to be amazing! A lot of flavors are unique (but not weird, thats important), the theme was kind of quirky, but actually worked - it was fun. But the customer service was one of the best parts, it was outstanding! They were so helpful, positive, and were honest when they said you can try anything you want! All the ice cream is made on site and it was delicious, we will definitely go back again! I didnt get to sample all the ones I wanted because I quickly loved a few I tried and didnt want to hold the line by trying them all (though I wanted to and I know they would have let me!). I think its one of our favorite ice cream places now. Also, the amount of ice cream they give for their sizes is generous - my husband and I shared just a regular with our toddler and we still took home like a third!
Im an ice cream addict - Ive tried just about every ice cream shop in Utah and SLC.Brookers has by far the best. The ice cream is incredibly creamy. Flavors are strong, but not over powering. It is incredibly rich ice cream, and their flavor combos are unmatched.Ps. Get the Lincoln flavor of you like chocolate, or the George mason if you want peanut butter.
Super fun place to visit! Love the theme! Really delicious, creamy ice cream too, and lots of flavors.
Are at Brookers Founding Flavors for the first time today and it was not only THE BEST ice cream I’ve had, maybe ever, but it was also such a fun atmosphere to enjoy as a family. It was like stepping back in time! The kids especially liked taking pictures of themselves in the stocks. We will definitely be returning. After all, we couldn’t try all the flavors in one sitting ;)
Amazing ice cream with so many flavor combinations to try! I especially love the Founding Fathers theme for the names of the flavors. A good way to honor and remember these great men and women!
We heard that this place was good so we thought wed give it a try. Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience. We ordered two kids ice cream cups and 1 pint of ice cream. We picked up our order curb side. We got what looks like one kids cup of ice cream when we ordered two and a pint of ice cream leveled off at the lip of the cup with no spoons or napkins. Nothing what the website shows. Very disappointing! Then, as we were eating our ice cream my wife found a hair in the middle of the ice cream. 😭
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic ice cream! Tried the 5-flavor sampler and couldnt decide which one was my favorite. All were very, very good. Great, friendly service, too!
Really good ice cream. If you are going to purchase the liberty bell. You dont get to keep the bell after...bummer. They will hold your drivers behind the counter when you finish they will give your license back.
Likes:The environment and setup of this place is awesome, and the names of the flavors are hilarious. I got the breakfast cereal ice cream and it was delicious! I got a small and it was a little too much with how rich the ice cream is, but it was so good I ate it all.The owner came over and asked how we liked our ice cream. The staff in general was super friendly and their outfits were awesome. They provide water, unlike other places, which is super nice!Dislikes:This was my first time coming here. When I asked for a second sample the owner, who was serving me, seemed a little annoyed. When I asked he confirmed there wasn’t time to try too many with how long the line was. Not a huge deal, but it is a stark contrast to Rockwell ice cream who lets you try every single flavor even when the line is long. I recognize the importance of keeping the line moving though. The size of the samples were tiny compared to Rockwell’s as well. The quality of the ice cream is great, but all of the options have so much going on. I wish they had a few simpler options (like vanilla with cookie dough) for “purests” like me.I’d definitely recommend this place though and would like to try a few more flavors.
This place has absolutely delicious ice cream! It is worth a first visit. Decide from there if you want to return. The ice cream is very sweet, the hot chocolate is authentic, and the customer service is on par with Chik-Fil-A or better. I love the colonial time uniforms! The only downside is the price. Be prepared to pay for the extra cost of quality and atmosphere.
A little pricey if you just need an ice cream fix, but a fun experience. The employee costumes are hilarious, and the menu is very clever. Come with extra time to decide on a flavor because all the names are different than a regular menu. If you just want to experience the place, a small cone is $3.75 and is a decent size. I have one pictured that my wife and I shared, with the salted caramel flavor. Brian, the owner, stopped by our table to introduce himself and was very friendly.
Love the atmosphere! With the colonial sounding music and the costumes, it really feels like going back in time. The ice cream is great, very creamy, many great flavors. I would totally recommend this place for the ice cream and charm.Personally, I would warn you of the drinking chocolate if you consider yourself a lightweight when it comes to sweets. It is too rich for the feint of stomach. Imagine melting a Hersheys bar and drinking that. Its delicious hot chocolate, but too rich for me.
Unfortunately the atmosphere is the best part of this ice cream shop. Take that away and.....
What a fun little ice cream place! We were dying over the funny/interesting ice cream flavor names, and the atmosphere is just a few levels below Disneyland for me (Im a Disneyland freak, so thats a very high compliment). All the staff wear Revolutionary War-era costumes and are super friendly. Its still a relatively new venue, but Id say it has the feel of a place that promises to become a solid tradition for a lot of people.
Awesome ice cream hang out! I love the old colonial environment! Even had the Hamilton soundtrack in the background. Super good service, and great atmosphere. The ice cream was good, not my favorite, but others in my group thought it was the best ice cream they’ve had. Some pretty unique flavors as well.
The Ice Cream was so creamy and delicious! They had a curbside option that you could call and order from your car. They also currently have a makeshift drive through option around back. Employees are dressed to represent the colonial times making it a fun atmosphere.
We were pleasantly surprised by our experience here. A lot of times places like this focus so much on a gimmick theme that the actually quality of the product is marginal at best. Not in this case. The ice cream itself had unique flavors, came across as high quality, and was priced fair enough we’ll go back. Add onto that the fun environment, attention to detail on naming the flavors and the decor, and you have yourself a winner. Even though they were busy the service was fast and friendly. We even talked to the owner who’s from Virginia and has a legitimate connection and knowledge of the founding fathers theme. Especially great for families! Highly recommend.
This flat out is the best ice cream ever. The customer service is amazing. They have a cute patriotic theme. This is waaay better than Ben and Jerry’s.
It’s a fun travel back in time. All the staff is super friendly and wearing colonial-era clothing. The ice cream is not only delicious, but also has crazy names in tribute of someone in American history. They make tiger cones in house. There is a movie megaplex nearby; if you go after a movie is getting out, it gets busy, but if you go in the afternoon, it’s usually not crazy.
Super fun and super yummy! Its hard not to laugh at the staff in their George and Martha Washington uniforms but its fun. The ice cream is super duper delicious and when they tell you how its made your like oh there it is... its not very diet conscious but well worth it for the taste.
Cute ice cream shop with a great theme. I enjoyed the ice cream. Each time I have been there is a huge line so dont go if you cant stand in the line. There are a few tables but usually they are all full. They have the menu on the wall but some people I went with couldnt read it because it is small. They have a lot of options to read through. Having a menu in hand, they could read would have helped and probably could speed the line up because they would know what they wanted once they got the chance to order. It is a crowded place so it is not easy to read all the options to someone else and have them hear you.
I came by, skeptical because of the fame the owner got for his overbearingly critical responses to bad reviews.Lo and behold I had the creamiest and most surprisingly scrumptious ice cream Ive had in a long time. Id be shocked if people didnt like it too.Their cookies and cream is heavenly, BTW.
Great tasting ice cream with flavors named after American presidents. A great place to go on the fourth of July or anytime.
Excellent ice cream in a fun shop with a revolutionary war theme. The servers wear costumes and the menu items are named after people and events. Have been there once so far. - The line was long but moved quickly. Will go back.
I am OBSESSED with this place! My favorite location is Provo. But if the owner wanted to franchise I would be all up in that. The atmosphere, the flavors, the portions... everything is amazing!
Heads up everyone,, my very favorite ice cream place has now seems to be getting greedy. They have started to weigh thier ice cream scoops which means for us customers, half the ice cream for the same price. They use to give generous scoops and worth the money, I went today and I thought I was getting a childs portion. I sadly will no longer be a customer until they go back to thier old ways.
Absolutely amazing place. I love the colonial, founding fathers (flavors) theme. The ice cream is awesome and you absolutely must, at least once, try the old fashioned drinking chocolate. I tried the salted caramel and it was genuinely amazing.
This is a great place. The theme is fun and relevant no matter the century, but especially now since Hamilton is such a big thing. They have a large variety of flavors, and they are all absolutely delicious! They also let you try the flavors before you get them so you can be sure you like it. Best of all, the workers there are always friendly, and I feel as if they really do appreciate me as a customer, rather than viewing me as a nuisance (as some fast food restaurant workers do). I would definitely reccomend checking this place out. They even sell t-shirts!
I guess its no secret this is the best ice cream on the Wasatch Front. Im late to the party. Service was awesome. The youngster behind the counter I think his name was Daniel, he was super helpful. Made great recommendations. Yeah I couldnt be happier with the whole experience. We would up getting the five flavor sampler. My favorite flavor was the James Armistead Double Spy Undercover. Honestly might be the best thing Ive ever eaten. Hopefully thats not just the chocolate covered toffee chunks talking but seriously its special. Also the Samuel Adams Father of the Cookies N Cream Revolution is the best cookies and cream anyones ever made. Reminded me of the actual Nabisco Cookies and Cream they took off the market 25+ years ago. We also got strawberry and it was the best ever. Love this place. I dont know what else to say.
Super creamy and delicious ice cream that is made in house by the owner! Everything is colonial America themed and there are very unique flavors. We got the John Adams’ ooey gooey butter cake and Abraham Lincoln’s new birthday cake of freedom. Honestly, I’m looking forward to coming back here and trying even more flavors but I’m going to get the 5 flavor sampler! I mean honesty there’s not a better way to try it all
Its riiiich. 8% milk fat or something like that makes a small feel like a large! Dairy free and gluten free options available every time Ive gone in!
I heard about this place while in Tennessee. When I had the opportunity to travel to Utah, Bookers was on my short list of places to visit. I was not disappointed. We came with a group of 12. Everyone was very satisfied with their choices. The ice cream is Rich, Creamy and clearly made with the highest grade products. The kitchen is behind glass and open for the public to watch each flavor being mastered. My dad always said, You get what you pay for and this is the best! The best atmosphere, service and ice cream. So, expect to pay a little more. The flavor titles are very creative and the explanation of ingredients is clear for each mixture. Bring a camera because this is a place for memories. When I return to Utah, Bookers will be back on my list!
The cool atmosphere brought to life by the costumes and cool names for the ice cream made the trip memorable as well as how good the ice cream tasted. I just wish everything wasnt so flipping expensive.
Mmm lots of different opportunities and flavors there that are all phenomenal. Coldstone has a harsh competitor.
10/10 flavor and variety. Also its a pretty fun experience in the restaurant.
The ice cream was amazing! It was way too hard to pick a flavor so we went with the Continental Army Sampler that came with 5 flavors of our choice. The customer service was great. They made sure we were able to sample any and all flavors. The atmosphere was fun and inviting. We highly recommend and will be bringing all of our friends and family to enjoy.
Ice cream was good but overshadowed by the pain it was to eat it. I got a shake and it was pretty thick and was good. The downfall was they just give out normal soda fountain straws. It was such a pain to eat the shake I really dont see myself going back. I will stick with Handels who has great shake and ice cream and actually has straws meant for the shakes.
Amazing. Worth getting sick for. The homemade toffee is delicious. They don’t take many gluten precautions. All made in the same space. One person got a different scoop for me. Others don’t understand what gluten free means. Their dairy free is so good but not gluten free so that’s really sad.
Fantastic flavors, great service, unique atmosphere. Try all the flavors, youll be surprised at what you like the most.
This ice cream could be described as life-changing. Its rich, creamy, and homemade with the highest quality ingredients.
Fun family experience. Nice to see some form of appreciation and acknowledgement for the Founders in todays world. Adds an extra topping to a family outing. Worth it.
The flavors are delicious and they really play up the theme! Lots of fun, very clean.
Nothing special, they immediately try to tote it as the greatest ice cream you’ll ever have since they use local dairy and it’s 16% butter fat but it really wasn’t that great, not anymore than Dairy Queen or any other place anyway but costs twice as much and expect to wait 20-25 mins as they are usually packed and move at a snails pace. Really friendly and nice staff though!UPDATE: Seems the owners a little butt hurt over my review. I took no offense to what they do contrary to what they say, just when it’s thrown in your face how great the ice cream is the whole 20-30 mins you’re standing in line, it better match up to that expectation and it didn’t. Also, I am aware of the difference between your ice cream and other places, that doesn’t automatically make your ice cream better. We tried 4 different flavors and still thought Dairy Queen and JCW’s ice cream tastes immensely better. Can’t really get mad at someone for posting their honest review (which I only did once, not sure where you see it twice). If you can’t take criticism then you’re in the wrong business🤷♂️
My new favorite ice cream place. Taste is so rich and smooth. I love the Americana theme. Extremely friendly staff.
Delicious! Very creamy, high quality ice cream. I especially like Patrick Henry’s Give Me Chocolate or Give Me Death.
