I searched for a coin dealer and found a gem in Orinda. Jeff Brody is exceptionally knowledgeable, and thorough. He enthusiastically checked out each and every of the many coins I brought in. I was paid a very fair price for the coins, and had a great time learning about the political and economic history of the coins. Highly recommend Jeff Brody.

I have been a customer with Jeff Brody for about a month, and already have spent many enjoyable hours talking numismatics and exploring the coins in his shop. He is friendly and helpful, always has good music playing, and has the unusual coin varieties I’m looking for at bargain prices. Thanks to Jeff, I’ve been able to build my collection much more quickly and affordably than by shopping through the major online auction sites (and have had more fun along the way). The other day, I found a rare quarter I had been searching for - the odds of finding one are about 1 in 1000 - and purchased it from Jeff at an unbeatable price. Only a serious dealer with an extensive inventory has the really hard to find varieties like these. The shop is bright and comfortable, and when I’m done hunting for coins, I can walk across the street for a burger or piece of pie. In my opinion, the Jeff Brody Collection is the best kept secret in Orinda!

This dealer has no ethics. One of Jeff Brodys associates attempted to sell a coin for nearly twice its listed value in an online forum, and when this discrepancy was pointed out he became irate. Brody said I didnt have any credentials to tell him the value of a coin, and said anyone who believed coin guides was an idiot. When I tried showing Brody the going rate on eBay the verbal abuse grew more intense, and he accused me of interfering with his sales, accused me of doing dope, and claimed he could have me blacklisted at every coin show for the rest of my life. I have never met a more self-absorbed, egotistical man, it was an absolute horror dealing with him.

Wonderful coins, fair prices and they practice the policy the client is always right. Those bad reviews have to be from envious competitors or bad intended people because I never experienced such a situation, nor my friends. Its the only place where I could find a Mexican gold Maximiliano from the Second Mexican Empire, and a silver Iturbide from the first Empire. The price? Always fair for such treasures!

Went in to ask a few questions and was talked down on. Not sure if he was having a bad day or he was just rude.
