I have done all of my window treatments with Southtown. I just did Roman shades and full draperies. Mary is one of the best around...she knows all the fabrics and colors. Everything was simple, quick, and easy. All my friends asks where my shades and draperies are from!! I waited a long time to find something perfect and I sure did!!
Have been shopping here for many years. They always remember your name and I love that little dog there too! I get all my paint and wallpaper from here. Very friendly and always helpful. We used to go to the store in the old neighborhood before we moved.
Bought some awesome cellular shades! Great service from some awesome people!
We had the best experience with Mary and team at Southtown Paint! From start to finish they helped us pick the perfect wallpaper as well as advice on our project. They’re attentiveness and delivery during Covid made it a great experience! Make this your one stop shop for paint & wallpaper.
I never write reviews! I never paint but had some touch up to do. I am a huge fan of online ordering from local restaurants & stores. Their website is easy to navigate & place orders. I ordered a gallon of paint which I really only needed a cup full. Five minutes later I received a call from the store to confirm my order. I wish I could remember the persons name who called me I was treated as if I was buying a 100 gallons of paint.Thank you Southtown!
After going to the big box stores and trying to match up stain for my trim with no success, I called up Southtown Paints. They perfectly matched the color of our old stain that is no longer being produced. Mary and Casey were a great help. They went out of their way to ensure my satisfaction. I would highly recommend this company!!!
Went above and beyond to answer questions.
I have been getting paint from Southtown for years for our summer projects. Even though I miss Jerry who used to be my sales guy, Casey is stepping and giving me great service. Just placed a large order and they will delivery it in a couple days. We are a local business that likes doing business with other locals.
I had a great experience at Southtown. For a recent renovation project, I purchased full spectrum paint pigments directly from Donald Kaufman Color in New York. The DKC pigments are shipped in small containers and formulated for mixing into Benjamin Moore paint bases (and come with instructions for taking to a BM retailer). The first retailer I visited declined my request to mix the pigments, whereas Casey at Southtown Paint (my second stop) was very knowledgeable, accommodating, and a pleasure to work with (together with Bob and Lou). It felt like we were a team, and the finished work looks great. I look forward to going back to Southtown for my next project!
Old Hometown type type store and they are really attentive to your needs
I rarely write reviews. As a business person myself, I understand that one can have a bad day here and there. For my paint project, I chose Southtown -- as a I prefer a locally owned businesses to the home improvement superstores.1. Purchase experience was ok. The younger guy in the store just looks angry. No smile. No Thank You. He just walks around like he doesnt want to be there.2. On Saturday, I realized I would run out of ceiling paint. I drove to the store and, apparently, they ran out (this should never happen. Its an important item to have in stock for a PAINT store). But ok. So I asked for advice. The older brother of the angry brother recommended a flat interior paint. He said that it was the same shade of white. I asked him a couple of times if he was sure. He assured me the paint would match the ceiling one I bought. This is where it all went south. I started noticing areas that were darker on my ceiling. As it was drying, I realized the colors were different. Its a large space so I WASTED HALF A DAY trying to figure out what was going on. I ended up buying paint from a local Home Improvement store. And wasted a couple of more hours repainting the ceiling. (All thanks to the expertise of our friends at Southtown paint).3. I bought too much primer so I went back to Southtown to return. The angry brother was there and when I told him about the ceiling paint issue, he told me right away that his older brother was incorrect. Two different shades of white. While they gave me the money back, I must say again that the younger brother needs some help with customer service skills. He has this I dont want to be here, always angry look. And he speaks with that unfriendly tone.Bottom line. I will be contacting Benjamin Moore about this experience. But even more importantly, if I can save others some money and TIME, I hope this review provides some color (no pun intended) on how a small business that should be obsessed with customer service in the age of superstores, failed on all counts.
Great paint store. Always a big help!
Great selection of wallpaper and Debbie really was a great help picking the perfect color for my dining room
These people are so helpful, and nice too.
There is something about locally owned stores. Great staff and the service you want
I posted earlier about the long wait I had before someone helped me today. I received an email within a few hours from the store apologizing and offering to help me. Mistakes happen but fixing them shows good customer service.
Bad customer service. Very rude. Would NOT recommend this store to anyone. All they want is your money.Stay away. Go to another benjamin moore dealer.
Excellent customer service. my stain match was done to perfection
