The Magnet Bar & Billiards is such a mainstay in the history of Oshkosh pubs and it is so nice to know that the new / current owners have chosen to continue much of the tradition that this pub has known through the years but with some wonderful, thoughtful updates to the decor and atmosphere of the place itself.I should also note that Jaida is an excellent bartender and made our visit extra fun.

The Magnet is under new ownership and you can really tell. The place is much more clean and inviting than before. The Long Island iced tea and sangria are homemade, taste delicious and are super cost efficient! Definitely stop by when you get a chance!

Great clean environment, lots of games, great detail in the building, hanging out and stayin long was encouraged, its a great place to get away in the winter and just do an activity in doors, great prices also with superb quality drinks,Deffintly will be goin back

Good atmosphere, tables are reasonable, theres a free one if youre good.Remember to tip your servers, people. The restaurant/bar game is hard enough as it is.

Fun bar that serves good food too. Good place to play pool. They also have a variety of arcade machines and an outdoor area. Right on main street.

A decent watering hole in the downtown area. I like those place because theres quite a few dart boards, pool tables and I think I even saw a foosball table. It was clean with a decent crowd for a Thursday night. I wouldve given five stars but the first bartender made a lousy drink. The second bartender was decent, tho.

Have attempted numerous times but always get such poor service. If you are a regular than you will be taken care of otherwise you will just have to wait. Had a female bartender that was extremely rude and was told if we didnt like it dont come back. No problem. Its too bad because we use to go there every weekend to play pool but not anymore. We will go somewhere where we are appreciated.

Kendal and his team have put a ton of work into this place since Larry passed away in 2011. The updated interior, flooring, and bathrooms all look great, and the food is awesome. From brunch to burgers to beer to billiards - the Mag is a great spot.

Always a great time here! Especially when no pos people are around! If theres a place you would like to go shoot pool, or darts without too many eyes staring at you then this would be the place to go.

Great place to have cheap drinks the bartender was wonderful she suggested the specials and we had a great time.

Food was decent and the pool tables are in good condition, but the pool cues need to be either cleaned more or have wipes next to them to get rid of that general frequestly-touched sticking feeling. The music wasnt too loud and they had a few TVs playing different genres. The bartender was nice enough and we got our food quickly.However, a large rowdy group of guys came in soon after us and harassed a customer with a service dog and the staff didnt say anything so we asked him to play with us and sit on the other side of the bar. They also kept sitting on the pool tables not currently being used and playing around. He seemed happier about it but the behaviour was disgusting to see go unchecked by them.

Half-a-dozen pool tables, tending to be level and well maintained. Nothing special about the cues. Centrally located resin station. Spacing is good -every table could have four players and nobody would feel crowded. Good atmosphere.They have darts, too; but it isnt near league caliber. Plastic darts, electronic boards. Its a nice diversion, thats all. If you want to polish your darts game (as I sometimes do), Im not sure what place Id recommend. If theres such a thing as a darts culture, Oshkosh doesnt seem to have one. (?)How bout the beer... the all-important beverage. Magnets beer feature, as far as Im concerned, is the containerized beer. Think American micro brew, and enjoy browsing for your style. Lots of bottled brands, too, foreign and domestic. Tap selection is generally limited to the mega and better-known Wisconsin brands. Havent had enough tap beer at this place to determine how well-maintained their tap-lines are.Staff is regularly welcoming and laid back. TVs are well situated. Patio is a really nice touch. Very good hang-out.

In my personal opinion. This Bar & Grill is the best place to unwind! Great customer service good food polite and fun environment so on the north side of town check em out.

Ive ordered from them through Eatstreet three times and all three times theyve been at least 15-20 minutes late in putting out the food were picking up. On top of that, this most recent time they lied about when the food was supposed to be done. The online order system said it would be ready for 12:45 and according to Eatstreet, they started whipping it up right away. When we arrived to pick it up they said it was supposed to be done by 1 PM but was gonna be late. Its a real shame, because all of the food weve gotten has been pretty good but being that late so consistently is ridiculous and they show absolutely no concern when the lateness is mentioned. Theyve never had more than a few customers when weve come in (during off hours), so theres really no excuse for the lack of punctuality, either. They wont be getting our business again.

The Magnet has slowly gone down hill, they allow a know drug dealer hang out there, very rough crowd in last few years. Lot of underage drinking also. So sad used to be a fun place.

Great Food real good Bartenders.

I usually go just to eat and have a drink with my meal. The food is tasty. My only complaint is sometimes it is overpriced. One evening I ordered sliders with cheese and was charged 6 dollars extra (one dollar for each piece of cheese on each slider). That is pretty silly.

Good place to hang with friends, quality billiards tables. Good food and drinks as well.

They are closing. Rumor the owner passed.The hot dogs were skinny and dry. Service was just a little below o.k. Another Oshkosh institution bites the dust.

One of the best this bar will be missed

Took over an hour and a half for two starters and an entree. After an hour we were told they were out of one of the starters. The portions were very small and we were given some pretty sarcastic comments.

Cool bar. Plenty of pool tables. Darts and good music.

Its been awhile since Ive been to this bar, but when I constantly visited this bar it was a place to chill, drink, and play some pool. Our group typically ended the night at magnets, the place just really capped the night off for us.
