Bobby was the sales associate helping me. Just stopped in to look at the sales with my daughter. We ended up both buying new furniture. Bobby was very patient with us after changing our minds on which items to buy several times. He couldnt have been more helpful.

I just purchased a new mattress and box spring set. I haven’t received my order, so I can’t give a rating on the products. I did get friendly, knowledgeable help from a pleasant young lady. The staff at the Oskaloosa store are always polite, friendly and attentive without being overbearing or intrusive. I went in looking for a sofa which I did not find today but I KNOW that I will because my last five major furniture purchases have been with them. What a pleasant experience I have had in this store so far. I just moved to town and unfortunately ordered a majority of my furniture at another store (McGregors) and at Homemakers (in Des Moines). Well, my experience at both those stores were not very pleasant, and I will not repeat business with them.My experience at Slumberland has been fantastic. The funny thing is that I actually only purchased two items from here. I purchased a very basic entertainment center and a very simple desk. Both of nice quality and looked very nice but only totaling about $400. My purchases at Homemakers and McGregors were over $2500 and $1500 each. However, the customer service I received from Slumberland was far superior to the service from the other two stores.The very nice woman who helped me (I dont remember her name but but times I have been there she has was wearing a beautiful scarf, had shorter hair, a very light brown/blonde). She treated me as if I was her most important customer and issue at the time, even though lets be honest--I clearly was not her biggest sale of the day, only spending a few hundred dollars.She listened to my concerns and when I tried to ask for discounts (being a teacher, I always at least see if any discounts are available), she didnt just provide a no but gave a reason and was very sincere with her answer. I very much appreciate that.The furniture is to be delivered on Saturday. It would have come a week earlier, but I was out of town. They were very flexible with which day to deliver. They deliver two days a week to Ottumwa, and seemed to have no problem fitting it in on a day that they were in Ottumwa that fit my schedule. Very accommodating.Even though I dont have the furniture yet, based off the experience I have had both times in the store, I am confident that this sales associate (along with her management) will provide any assistance I need for issues that come up later on with my furniture...even though I dont expect any.I will GLADLY return to this Slumberland store for all of my future furniture needs, even though it is about 30 miles out of my way. They have great prices and exceptional customer service. I recommend this store (and this sales rep (Look for the woman with the beautiful scarfs) to anyone.Thanks you Slumberland for making this shopping experience terrific.
