Absolute best dealership in Illinois. I purchased a 2016 Ultra Limited from them about 2 months ago and needed their help. I was concerned with a few components on the bike after riding for the last month so I gave them a call and expressed my concerns. Not only was I treated with the absolute best customer service imaginable, but they drove over an hour to my house and picked up my bike and took it back to the dealership for further inspection FREE OF CHARGE. Second time I had something done here, 1st time was oils all changed and go over it to see if it had issues, ok all I got told was its ok, youd figure with what you pay for anything to get done theyd take pride and send someone out to talk about what issues might be coming, I got nothing, and that time didnt clean up oil mess from old doing the job, second time was to change clutch cable they did go above and help me out with a broke part I broke, but when I left the cop pulled next to me and said something about a headlight, so my headlight wasnt working, went back and they blame my light for not working had to tape connection, ok I was fine with all that, but I got home and went to wipe dust off and found they didnt wipe down anything, this was why I took it it cause I didnt want to have to do it, now Im home when I planned to ride with a huge cleaning project, not that any of this is a huge deal, its that it should be part of the job they do, it sucks cause people are great in every department

Though I do appreciate Starved Rock Harley Davidson helping me with some repairs on my 2006 Softail Deluxe, I am surprised at the quality of work performed by one of their master technicians. What would seem like a simple procedure.... to mount and balance tires has left me somewhat confused. When mounting the new “engraved whitewall” tire on the front wheel, the technician failed to remove the existing spoke weights before proceeding to balance the wheel. To balance the wheel, a total of 12 stick on .5 oz. weights were applied to the front wheel. The bike has HD Chrome 80 spoke wheels, and after calling several other Harley dealers I was informed by that the “chrome spoke weights” should be used to keep the aesthetics in line with the appearance of the wheel. The stick on weights are not meant to be used on this type of wheel, but used on mag type wheels. I called the service department and spoke with someone, trying to get this straightened out, as I am feeling rather disappointed. The response was not what I wanted to hear, service department said that they did not have spoke weights to fit my wheels and this is why they use the tape weights. This is even more confusing now because my front wheel still has spoke weights on it in addition to the 12 tape weights they applied. This the same dealership that installed and balanced these wheels using spoke weights when originally installed. 😕October 28.... I did speak with Tim today (General Manager) and I will be taking the bike back to Starved Rock HD this Spring for them to re-balance the front wheel with spoke weights at no charge. Thanks Tim!

Go with a different company go to Reimans Harley-Davidson go to any other Harley shop just dont go to Starved RockLooked at a sun glow red 2009 night FXSTB. Tire are 40% life on them 23k miles and massive dent in the fender!They where asking 10k or 11.675 with tax title and license. An would only come down $500 bucks. After a 66m loan the bike would have been 15k with interest. The staff as well as the manager was absolutely rude disrespectful and down right ignorant in there approach towards their customers. The fact that the owner said $500 off is all for a used bike?I found one the same year less miles and no damage for 9k. Even showed nada site that says 9k showed them the bike still didnt care dont buy a bike from these clowns.Piss poor bike selection and horrible sales staff..

I was riding on Route 6 and got a flat tire. I called this dealer and explained I was stranded with a flat and was about 15 min from their shop. I could slowly get it there, as I had nowhere else to go on a Sunday for service. The guy in service talked to his manager and responded with sorry, we are too busy. I was hoping a fellow Harley riding brother would get some help while stranded on the road, but apparently this was too much to ask. I have been a loyal customer of Harley Davidson for years and when I needed some reasonable help they had no desire to assist. I am very disappointed and this dealer needs to remember what riding is all about. Its not just about stealing my money.

Went here to buy a few Christmas presents for the wife. They had a great selection of clothing and was able to easily buy a few things. There pricing is typical of a Harley Davidson dealer. While driving a Yamaha scooter west across the country, I experienced a dead battery the morning of 30 July 2018, in Ottawa, IL. Yamaha dealerships are closed on Mondays, but Starved Rock Harley was open and there to help! They quickly picked up my bike, charged the battery, and I was on my way again. Im a local here in ottawa and have bought a couple bikes here, not bad as far as finding a bike. I do have a problem with service though. I paid cash for a stage 3 to be installed, was told itd take a week for parts and a day to install. It has been 2 weeks now and I still have no bike and on the last nice day it looks like for a while. Ive called several times and it just seems like there is one problem after the other. I just dont recommend getting your bike serviced here unless its something simple like an oil change.

This Dealership out in The Cornfield of Illinois, is outstanding. We went to Chicago for a quick Vacation. And on the way home my wife had an accident on her Triglide. We were in Morris, Illinois. A guy recommended Starved Rock. We called for a tow truck. It came out of Ottawa. They towed us to Starved Rock. The staff was awesome and accommodating when we arrived. We left there Two up on my Triglide. Back home to western Iowa. They took care of everything with the insurance and got a call on Friday 8/23 to come and get it. We drove over and on 8/24 we picked it up. It was done when they said it would be. They even went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied. And while it was there they installed Vance and Hines stage 1 on it ( pipes, fuelpak3 and air cleaner. With that said. I say thank you again to Tim, and Service manager Josh. If we ever need help again in that area we know who to call. And I will recommend them to my friends if they need anything in that area. If I had 10 stars that is what they would get. Top Notch Shop. Thanks again. So anyone just going down I-80. Stop in at Ottawa at Starved Rock and enjoy some good old down to earth hospitality.

They were very fair and took good care of the bike. And, KimberLee answers all of my questions about rolling inventory... even though she knows a purchase is a long shot. Good people! A good stop!

My husband bought a bike from Ottawa Harley. Worst experience ever! It’s winter they picked up his trade in to determine value, He choose a bike the finance and set up delivery day. The guys told him since its not his bike anymore they did drop his trade in getting it off the trailer and had a few things to fix. (No big deal its theirs now) (mark was even a nice a guy and gave them all original parts back so they could fix their bike they dumped) . Delivery day I’m waiting for the hr window they gave me it comes n goes. My husband called to make sure delivery went well they told him it was delivered. It was but to the wrong house we are 123 n blah st they delivered it to 123 s blah st. (Thankful we are a small town and they dropped it off at an abondonded house) . Mark gets off work and goes to pick up his bike down the street. No keys its in the run position (anyone could have taken the bike) . Mark calls and they say oh yeah by the way we have to order keys. Now mind you they delivered his trade in here picked up his trade in at the correct address so not sure why they got so confused in a village of 500 hundred people. ( again small mishaps no biggie right) . When we were deciding to get the new one asked it had been dropped or wrecked there was a scuff on the handle bars. The guy says no I’ve never been lied to this bike is amazing. It has a custom paint job and tons of upgrades. Now a couple days after delivery and the mishaps thus far a harley badge falls off the tank revealing a dent and scuff the size of a golf ball. Now we are mad and take off the other badge to make sure there are no other defects harley was hiding. This custom bike had been wrecked and they straight lied to us. Treated us like we were fools and they thought they could dupe us. Called them to see how they wanted to fix this. They came and picked up the bike (right house) and took it back to ottawa to determine what they were gonna do. After a week of no word I called to see their game plan. They told us they were gonna seal the spot so it didn’t rust and cover it back up with a badge. ( I dont know a single custom paint job that’s covered by badges) I politely let him know that it was important to keep better contact with us so they would know that thats not an acceptable solution. They decided to repaint the tank and do this right. We have now went and looked at the bike since the paint was redone.(made a payment already on the new bike to give you a sense of time) Thankful they painted it and didn’t argue however now we have a bike that has a custom paint (tank doesnt match the fenders in color or flames design) . They have completely ruined the exciting experience we should have. I’m upset they were scandalous from the get go. My husband works hard and is so kind and they walked over that and left him completely not satisfied. He doesn’t even want this now

I had the Best experience with Starved Rock HD back in December!!! I walked out of a another dealership that decided to jack me around even though I bought two bikes in the last 6 months from them. I contacted Tom V. at Starved Rock HD and we had a deal and financing worked out in 15 minutes! Absolutely my best bike buying experience ever! Being from the area I use to go to Starved Rock HD it Was always an ok experience, but the previous owners were there downfall. Currently they are under new ownership and I would recommend going there if the previous owners turned you away. Here is my latest experience I was traveling back home and had a issue with my 2016 streetglide, had no appointment and showed up they were willing to help and fix the issue they overnighted the part and was fixed the next day. Highly recommend going in and checking it out
