The employees are always wonderful but isnt it about time to drop the mask mandate???? I just was shopping at Walmart comfortably breathing freely no problem and then come to your store having to mask up. Who wants to walk around shopping when you cannot breathe?

This store is a hidden jewel. Its never over crowded and its always a sale going on.

My go to place for shopping for my kiddo. There is always sale and the clothing is respectable,which is hard to find in young ladies clothing.

Great sales, but I’m not sure how long this location will be open. Much of the sales floor was empty. Perhaps they are changing out seasons, but based on the stock levels things did not look great.

I am very grateful to Nancy for providing me with outstanding service! The store did not have the color of a top that I wanted to exchange. Nancy ordered it online for me and it was available for pickup in just a few days. Thank you again Nancy! I really LOVE that color :-)

Fair prices to begin with on top notch Goods, and then when you catch stuff on sale its really a bargain.

We stopped by JC Penney @6901 W 135th St just to look around. The was not crowded, very clean & tidy. We found a couple of bargains... when I can find blouses in my 2x-3x for under $8 its a decent sale. The store was very tidy,, clean. Even the ladies room, very clean. When I was working at the catalog order desk, many people I talked to, placing orders did not know this store was even located on top of the hill behind Crowley Furniture. Hopefully JCP will make it thru this tough time.

I bought a Sealy mattress less than one month ago from Pennys at Corbin Square. The mattress is already starting to visibly sag. Im trying to exchange or return the mattress due to the problem. Pennys told me I would be charged $85 pick up fee and 15% restocking fee. The mattress is said to have a 10 year warranty, but my order information states that defects must be reported within 48 hours. So much for the 10 year warranty. I called Sealy and they referred me back to Pennys. I had always thought that Pennys was a reputable company, but not anymore.So I spoke with a manager, on the phone, and he gave me 24hrs to decide what I want to do. Huh? So I asked the sales person what that meant and she stated that my 15% restocking fee would be waived if I purchased another matress within 24 hours. BUT I would need to also purchase box springs if I wanted any warranty. Also I would not be refunded the price of first mattress until after they pick it up. Definitely not within the 24hr mystery period. I cant afford to pay for two mattress (and dont forget the box springs) at this time.

Picture center was the worst place I have ever been in. Rude person, wasted our time and refused to take my Groupon voucher I already redeemed because we came with another group to save time. Did nothing to help. My friend had a $20 Groupon and got screwed too, ended up spending $120 to get our pictures and she lost her Groupon also. Save your time and frustration. No wonder they are going out of business.

We were there for pictures. They were half an hour late with our sitting but called to let us know. The sitting was very good - and the pictures turned out well. The package we ordered was very reasonable priced.We will use them again but will schedule extra time.

This has to be the lousiest JcPenny ever. After messing up my pickup order (they couldn’t find me order in there system and made me purchase the item again in person) the order finally arrived to the store. I was told it would be refunded as soon as the order arrived in the store. I called the store 8 times to follow up on the return over a 6 hour time frame and the phone just rang off the hook. Worst customer service I’ve ever experience at any JcPenny. I’ll drive out of my way just to avoid this location next time.

JCPenney has something for everyone! I enjoyed the last offer area where I got a cute top for $5.39 (before tax). The dressing area was clean. The selection in all areas was Amazing! The designs for this season are just lovely! Whether you go for that certain something, or going for everything. The service is lovely, each member of staff wanted to help until you got the maximum amount of savings.The store is clean. With prices ranging all across the board, you are certainly going to find more than you bargained for! But at this quality, thats a good thing!

Some of the deals were great some of the deals werent really deals so you have to double check prices against competitors online but otherwise the store as well organized check out people are very helpful

Was trying to help my 13 year old son find a new suit jacket but had a hard time finding the boys clothing section. Found an employee named Wayne who not only helped us find the section but took the time to ensure we found the right fit. Thank you, Wayne!

This JCPenney location is ok. It’s not as big as the mall location. The employees aren’t really friendly either. The parking lot is crazy too. For the most part the clothes stay organized. They only have 2 women’s dressing rooms on the opposite sides of the store. The have a nice selection of shoes. The clearance section has shrunk a lot and the prices aren’t that good either.

This store is why Amazon is killing department stores. Their website has the item in stock, I take my lunch hour to drive the 20 minutes to get there to buy it, it takes the lady 20 minutes to find it and when she does find it she says she cant sell it to me without her managers approval and he is on lunch - she said I could give her my number and come back... no, this was already out of the way. Amazon is bringing it to my house tomorrow.

It was a box store. I was never approached by a single employee even though I was there for more than 30 minutes. Finally found what I came in for. I wanted two of the same thing, but they had only one. A store employee was sitting within four feet of where we were trying to find the second. Never an offer to help. A number of times I made it a point to say to my wife things like, I just cant find it, and they must have one, loud enough for her to hear. No response. I do a lot of my shopping online. This experience is why box stores are dying. Pennys? What are you doing wrong to create an experience like this?

Shopping for my nephew and my little cousin and myself

The service was very good and the store was clean. My only complaint was that we parked in a lower lot in front of a building that said JCPenny in very large letters but really we had to walk up some stairs and around to find the entrance. Not really an issue, but would be more simple if it was clearly marked.

I was there kind of Late in the day Just before closing. Everybody was very friendly Everything was fairly clean for the time of day.

I went in to return an item and didnt have my receipt. Lia was absolutely awesome and spent quite a bit of time (over 15 minutes) looking up my purchase so that I was refunded the correct amount that I paid. Their system was only going to give me $6 but she was able to find my original receipt which allowed me to get the $42, original purchase price, refund for me. Thanks Lia for helping me out!!!

Over the past couple of months, Ive eneded up making several trips because of the ridiculously awesome sales, and the pleasant staff. Ive been greeted each time I went, and felt like they cared about my experience. Kudos to Lia and her manager for going above and beyond, honoring an item that was on a clearance rack but not sure if it should have been there. Thats how you win for the customer! I will be back!

This store is absolutely excellent. I frequent this location and the employees are always friendly and helpful, not to mention the entire company has lowered their prices. I bought several pairs of pastel colored and floral shorts here for summer--all from $11-$20 per pair! The prices really cant be beat. I think this store has a great selection for being as small as it is. It looks a lot bigger on the outside and they really have every department: juniors, womens, petites, mens, home decor, even outdoor, small kitchen appliances, and dishes. Its awesome. Definitely recommend it.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTEDI ordered a coat for “ship to store” on October 20th. Today is November 8th and the coat is STILL NOT DELIVERED to the store. While ordering, the store associate told me it will be here in 5-7 days. I WANTED TO WEAR THAT ON NOVEMBER 6th AND I COULDN’T! I canceled my order today.I’M NEVER TRUSTING JCPenney AGAIN FOR MY IMPORTANT PURCHASES.

My daughter wanted to purchase jewelry for her mother for mothers day and the person working in the jewelry counter was very helpful to her. She ended up purchasing something she liked in price range she was looking for.

J. C. Penney has a lot of great sale items in all departments. I hadnt journeyed into their store at 135th and Metcalf, Overland Park, KS, in a long time, because access to the store is an encumbrance by the way it was built and for parking. It is disabled accessible, once you get to the store. I found the selection of merchandise appealing, the design look of womens clothes fashionable and the arrangement of the departments interlocking. Its worth shopping at J. C. PENNEYS ! I love this JCPenny, its close to my home and has a good selection on plus size clothes. We love their Disney section, my daughter has to visit it every time. And even though we say we wont buy anything, we usually do because their sales are great and everything is super adorable. The staff and management here are very friendly and helpful. The salon has great prices on high end shampoo and sophora is always stalked with brand names to sample. The fenty beauty line there is incredible to see in person, the shade range is outstanding and I cant wait to go back and purchase my perfect shade.

Jewelry counter employee is wonderful! Store is clean..... associates seem friendly but understaffed. They also had a sign out stating one thing and did not honor it.....

Okay, the 1 star is based on my terrible experience with returns in the catalog area (way in back by bedding) not up front by the register or with floor staff. The woman working there at approx 7:07 pm on 08/06/2019 was the rudest clerk /employee I have ever run accross on a JC penny store. I brought in a return with a receipt and items still in original bags. No problem with that. We were the only 2 customers in the area..we waited several minutes for her to even answer while she was in the back. This woman HATES HER JOB and the customers. No wonder the store is always empty, who wants to deal with ppl. Like that. Give me a catalog or amazon.

I used to only shop Pennys..untill today. They are playing Christmas music and after the remodel they seen to have half the clothing. Not to mention six ppl in line and one cashier. Now I see why they are folding.And again Christmas music on 11/01 ..that is just wrong. I put my items down and left.

Horrible customer service. There was no one on the floor to help us. We walked the entire floor. We had to ask the cashier where Homecoming dresses were and was told Over there ( pointing in the middle of the store) or over there by the Nike sign ( pointing toward the right side of the store). They were not at either section. We will not be returning.

This location was good when it first opened, but it seems like its consistently a mess now. The Oak Park location at least has more selection, and usually isnt quite as unorganized.

Jcp isnt cool, but they have clothing that fits my kids at a reasonable price. This particular location is clean and has good selection.

I think this is the largest JCPenneys in the metro. Clean, organized but sometimes hard to find an employee. We frequent this store over ones closer to home.

Ive been to this JCPenneys many times, particularly on Black Friday. Of all the times I visited the shelves were always organized in the clothes were neatly folded. Additionally if you ever needed help there was always an employee nearby. No Im not crazy about JCPenneys selection, really cant ask for more in terms of how to run a store.

JCPenneys had a product that I needed I have been shopping with JCPenneys since the late 60s.

It is a big chain department store with helpful people.

I like this location but I am not a fan of how hard it is to find a location with a better Big and Tall section. I pretty much have to drive to Oak Park Mall to get a decent selection.
