First of all, its a small place for so many people scheduled and a busy spot. The people in the front and the receptionist that take payment and suppose to help you get your glasses are exhausted and in a hush to get you in and out to the point that have no time to even take customers to check their frames and be part of the process. The only thing I liked was the eye doctor, she was amazing and happy and willing to love her profession. I feel bad having to give a low score because of the awful customer service. I usually go to the one in East Colonial Dr and its wider and although packed as well but they have way more staff so there isnt much of a rush to get people to pay and out the door

My parents were seeing at the Optical Outlet in Oviedo Mall today and all I can say is that we received an EXCELLENT customer care from the time we arrived until we left. The Dr. took his time to listen, Miriam was very courteous and assisted both my parents in choosing their new prescription glasses. Thank you all for such an outstanding service. We will definitely return!👏

Amazing service. The tech was very nice. And the Doctor, WOW! She was very attentive and friendly. Amazing. When the time came to purchase the glasses, the store manager, Miriam was super helpful. She helped me pick out my glasses and was friendly and enjoyable to speak with. I use to go to a office near my home but I prefer going out of my way and coming to this office. Amazing 👏🏻

I brought a prescription and a pair of frames in from another doctor. The first visit I waited a long time even though I had signed in. Once I was finally noticed, the optician was delightful and knowledgeable. My glasses finally came in and they are perfect. Another optician delivered my glasses to me and was kind and helpful also. I think the office looks a bit shabby.

As soon as I walked in the staff started screaming at me because I wasnt wearing a mask. I did not see a single sign saying that a mask was required when I walked in. I looked them square in the eyes and said if thats how you treat customers you just lost my and my familys business. I will not be going to any optical outlets again. Maybe try asking instead of screaming at an adult. Or better yet follow the recommendations of the centers for disease control were vaccinated people no longer have to wear masks.

The single reason we go here is for the Dr. They never called me on 1 of 2 childrens glasses for pick up. They hardly ever answer the phone, or they answer and leave you on hold for 10 mins and disconnect. And I am still waiting to hear back on contact arrival. At least set up text messages or emails if there isnt staff to do follow up calls. They have stated that they can work out a second pair of glasses or fix the first. When we went in, we were told nothing they can do.I at least have the Rx until we find a new provider.

This store has the worst costumer service! The only thing good about it is the doctor, he was very nice y and provided good explanation of his findings after the eye exam. If I could rate 0 to the rest of the staff, I would. First when ordering the glasses I was told they would take 7-10 days. After 9 days I called and I was told it was 7-10 business days. Those are very different time frames. When I questioned about the miscommunication all I got was an “I’m sorry about that” I was told to call to follow up in 2 days, when I did, I was told they could still take maybe a week. I asked to be called when the glasses were ready to pick them up instead of mailing them, the person said they would enter a note for me to be called. 2 days later, on a a Friday I call again and I was told the were still not ready. I ask to please be called to pick them up. The following day, on Saturday I check the status online and it says the classes have been shipped. I call the store to verify if they were really shipped and I was told they were shipped they day before, when the other person told me the were still not ready. I questioned about not receiving a call and if there was a note to call me. In fact there was a note, but they didn’t read it and the glasses were mailed. If someone would’ve told me 7-10 business days when I ordered I would have gone somewhere else. The costumer service at that store is horrible, I spoke to at least 4 different employees. Don’t even bother.

I had a great experience ordering glasses here. My insurance doesn’t cover visual and I needed any eye exam. They offered a great special where I can get an eye exam and 2 pairs of glasses for under $100. I received my glasses recently and it has been so awesome having glasses again. Everyone working there was super helpful. I didn’t make an appointment but was seen very quickly!

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SO BAD!!! Do not go here, it is a waste of money. Very expensive for what you get and the staff will straight up ignore the phone calls and ignore you when you come in. Great Doctor but the women work on the seem to look stress and not friendly. I cams to pick up my glasses. I assume I can get a faster turnaround. Im not waiting over 15 minutes to just to pick up my glasses.Conclusion: need more doctors to see the patients. Better training for female workers to be a bit more friendly. I want to see you enjoy being here.

My experience with Optical Outlet was very disappointing I ordered a pair of glasses and it was suppose to take 7 to 10 days. But it took over 3 weeks because eye attendant forgot to send out my glasses to the lab.When I express my dissatisfaction and wanted to speak to a Mgr. I spoke with Miriam she was very unprofessional and rude when I spoke with her. I do not recommend this place of business until they really work on there customer service skills thank you.

The doctor is awesome. But, theres not much in their selection of glasses to pic from. Also they really overbook appointments so plan on waiting some time for your turn. The staff (other than the doctor) are all.. ho hum. None of them looked like they want to be there.

My mom who is 87 had an appointment there last week. She has been going there for several years. She was reminded of her appointment numerous times so with this pandemic going on she thought it would be like the Drs offices where there is minimal interaction with other people. She got there and only a few people but within a few minutes it was very busy. People had masks on but there was no social distancing and no disinfecting going on. Staff was not very friendly and seemed to be preoccupied with other things. Needless to say my mother will not be going back. Customers should be top priority along with following protocol due to the pandemic.

Absolutely the worst place to ever go! I have been trying to get my contact lenses through them, and it seems like everytime they get me a trial pair the prescription is wrong in one of the eyes. Went in three times to be re-examined was told two times that prescription was indeed wrong so they changed it but still having issues ! I just called them today because it’s been over a week to find out what is going on with this new trial and they told me it was ready to pick up but not one of them thought to call me to let me know it was ready or has been ready for pick up! Completely unacceptable ! I have a life you know, and got bills to pay I can’t keep wasting my time every week to come back in because of a mistake on prescription lenses!!! I will never EVER recommend anyone to go there and from all the other reviews stands pretty clear that they just don’t do their job! Ridiculous on how they even stay in business over there.

Only giving two stars because of the doctor. Went with my daughter yesterday and was not properly greeted by staff. And I was just standing there and along with other people. The lady was kind of rude but of course I didn’t say anything because I refuse to cause a scene in front of my child. This place needs better training and when you have a office FULL of people during a “pandemic” your focus should not be on your cellphones. That is all.

The optometrist is great but the staff is HORRIBLE. Good luck if you order any thing, they won’t tell you when it is in and you can call every day and no one will answer the phone. Ordered contacts and they never put them in the system now I’m waiting A MONTH for a TRIAL PAIR not even my actual contacts! Then I gave up and said please just email me my prescription so I can go elsewhere and they said sure and never sent it. I am so annoyed!!Update: I since went to a different doctor and they were amazing but they told me he used to work with the optometrist from Oviedo optical outlet after seeing my prescription and informed me he was let go for doing what he did with me which is gives you an eye exam and then gives you the same old prescription you had already. I couldn’t believe it but then I thought of the service I had and was like hmm that sounds believable actually. Just a heads up in case it happens to anyone else!

I went to optical outlets with a groupon and loved my service. I paid $100 for an eye exam and $200 towards a complete pair of eyeglasses. My eye exam was probably the best I’ve had. Dr. Lee was incredibly knowledgeable and professional. She answered all of my questions and I felt that I had a very thorough exam. After that, I chose the perfect pair of eyeglasses with help from the staff. The frame was $100 and the lenses were $75 so I was right under the $200 mark and had to pay nothing else out of pocket. The staff was friendly and very helpful. My new glasses arrived in a week. I’m super happy with my purchase and eye exam. Will come back for my next pair of glasses.

My wife Marjorie and I have been customers of Optical outlet for several years and we only had one situation @ (East Colonial) a few years ago. that made us move to other branches of Optical outlets. We had not visited the Oviedo Mall office never but we met Carlos at Occoe Optical branch last year and he invited us to visited at Oviedo and and yesterday my wife went to Oviedo for the first time and left the office super happy for the professional treatment she received from all of them, She came out very satisfied.Very happy!!! Dr. Berrocal was very friendly, a super happy spirit my wife said!!! Thank you Dr. !! m Carlos, Myriam and Mary tremendous staff !! Although I could not be present in the office due to the Covid but I am super happy for my wife satisfaction. Thank you Dr. Berrocal. Carlos, Myriam and Mary .. Before I go into my problem I want to say the doctor and techs I dealt with were great. But... When I got my glasses in the mail, my lens was not right as everything was blurry at a distance. I went back for a reexam and the doctor told me the prescription was correct and the lens was defective. So my new glasses would be sent back to lab to be fixed. I was told the manager would call me as she wasnt there that day. I never got a call. After 3 weeks I called to see if my glasses were back from the lab. First no one could find my glasses or what happened with them. Finally, they were found at the store and when I asked if they had been sent back to be fixed, no one would answer me. I was told the manager would call me because she wasnt there. Once again I never got a call. I can tell with all the secrecy and the blurry spot still in the lens they were never sent back to the lab. Needless to say as long as this store is run by the same manager we will not go back here.

My whole family has been customers at Optical Outlets at the Oviedo mall location. We always see Dr. Carina Lee. Dr. Lee is so thorough and detail oriented. With my moms case, Dr. Lee discovered disorders with her eyes then refers her to the ophthalmologist. Dr. Lee is very polite, warm and patient. She takes her time educating us and going over any issues. The staff there is very courteous and friendly specially Carlos. He is extremely nice and welcoming.

Well this place is absolutely terrible. Went inside, after calling ahead and asking if they were on schedule for my 1pm appointment, being told yes they were on time. Entered the establishment, there was a massive amount of people in the front lobby (during a global pandemic maybe consider limiting the amount of people in a very small lobby), and I ended up waiting at least 15 minutes before anybody called my name. Just before I had left, the doctor gave me drops to dilate my eyes. When they do this, it can be incredibly dangerous to be exposed to sunlight (doctor never informed me of this) and usually they give you disposable blackout glasses for BASIC SAFETY. They had “ran out” of these glasses, which is what they told me on the phone AFTER the appointment. These people clearly don’t give a single concern about the safety of a 15 year old boys eyesight and just want the money from our insurance company. Please consider spending the extra money on a DIFFERENT optical test then the laziness and inconsistency of this establishment.

Just overall not quality experience Sept 26, I wish i didnt come here to save money for my 15 year old. It was a not pleasant experience compared to Sams Optical. They also dilated my 15 year old eyes and did not give him post dilation glasses, because they were out they said. Never going back never referring to someone, also very busy lobby for eyewear as if they are understaffed.

Omar went above and beyond for my daughter. She is just a few weeks away from her one year exam and contact lenses. I called to ask for a copy of her prescription, (I was going to shop around trying to find a way to get just a 1 month supply and possibly less expensive contacts) He inquired as to why and what I was trying to find or what she needed. I told him I found out she had over extended her contact use. He really came through for us in a tough situation. I was almost in tears, he was so nice to help us when he really didnt have to. I could tell he really cared and showed empathy for my daughter. I will be scheduling her one year exam (and new contacts) later this week. Because of Omar, Optical Outlets he has kept two customers, (twins and one with two different prescriptions.) I wont be shopping around looking for another optical store. Thank you so much Omar! Went yesterday afternoon. No one came out from the back office for nearly 15 minutes. When they did, they did not acknowledge us and continued to talk on their cell phone. Though close to our home, NO service. Could have easily walked out with dozens of frames - no wonder prices are so high. I needed new frames and lenses, my husband needed new frames and lenses for every day wear and a pair of polarized no line progressive sunglasses. No service - no sales. We left without even getting a hello, let alone prices on 3 pair of glasses.

The place is small and gets crowded easily but, they have a good selection for its size. The sales rep was nice and welcoming I am glad she recommended transition lenses, they are great. My first prescription was too strong so I went back after scheduling another appointment. With no problem or hassle the Doctor took really good care of me and took her time getting to a solution. When I got my reorder my glasses were perfect and I was happy with the end result. I ended up with a really nice pair of glasses that I was happy with.

Update:Though the original visit was great, I never got a call when my glasses were ready, when I showed up to pickup my glasses and DMV paper I had to sign in. Okay, I thought 5-10 minutes for a simple pickup. Nope... I gave up 40 minutes later and left, hoping coming in someday during the week midday my yield better results and my glasses... Sad... I had 5 stars on this place originally. They obviously suffer from mismanagement...For someone that never needed glasses prior (until the DMV gave me a paper because I failed their eye test) it was the one place I could get into the same day. Price (if you are a deal shopper like me was) was unbeatable (eye exam and 2 pairs of glasses for just under $100). Dr. Lee was a darling and had a very friendly and positive personality that could set any guy at ease. The lady that did the payment portion was nice enough to suggest some glasses that might go good with my face (as I had no idea what to pick). Overall I found it to be a very good experience.

Bad experience. I went inside bc my insurance allows me to buy glasses every year so I go in here and Im not even greeted, the person is on the phone the whole time speaking in a different language. The only time she speaks to me is to basically ask me if Im going to buy anything bc if not I have to get out bc they are about to close. Even tho I am more than capable through my insurance and finances to buy my glasses there, I would never give my money to a business that would treat their customers this way. I told them Ill leave and Ill go elsewhere. Zero stars.

I personally dont recommend this place unless you plan on spending hundreds even with insurance. They try to sell you everything your insurance doesnt cover. There are other places with way better deals and glasses. I wouldnt bother. The doctor is nice but staff could do better and theyre way too overbooked

1st off know that this is the 1st review I have ever done but this was just too much today. Ive been here since 2:40 with my daughters for a 3 pm appointment. There were no seats available and people were standing everywhere. They just took them back for the eye exam at 4:20 almost 2 hours later. I have been bringing them here for years but this place seems to get progressively worse. I think next year we will definitely be looking for a new place to get their glasses. Service is decent but they really need to get more organized with there appointments.

I’ve been a customer of Optical Outlets for a few years. I’ve always received the best customer service. I went today for a routine checkup and to purchase a new pair of glasses. It’s been two years since my last visit and the optometrist remembered me before she even looked at my chart. Then, the sales associate helped me pick out some amazing glasses. I must’ve gone through about 15 pairs before I found the ones I wanted. She was very patient. I’ve yet to have a bad experience.

They said appt was at 10 and they will not see my 94 YR old grandmother they we had to wheelchair in there. We were there at 1030. Thankful for Sears Oviedo taking walk ins.

Horrible customer service. I went in for an eye exam, got a prescription and picked out glasses based on what my insurance covered. I had to pay extra for the polycarbonate lenses, plus I got the anti glare. Which came up to a total of 130$ rounded up. Waited almost two weeks for the new glasses. When I got them they only fixed my vision for distant objects. But up close my vision was blurry. Then I was made to wait a week for a second appointment with the eye doctor. When I got there she re did my exam and explained to me that I need bifocals. She said that my vision cant be corrected without bifocals. At this point they tried to sell me a new prescription for my glasses after they had used my insurance benefits, saying that I needed bifocals. They tried to scam me into paying more money for my glasses after they failed to give me a proper perscribtion the first time around. The sell associate went to get the manager. Who was rude, defensive, and upset; he didnt even look us in the eye. I had to leave with glasses that didnt fully correct my vision. After the manager refused to give us any kind of service. Dont go here if you care about your money, time and eyesight. This place is the worst.

I scheduled an appointment and when I arrived at 1pm for my 1:15 appointment the receptionist told me my appt wasnt until 1:40. On top of that the doctor who took my insurance wasnt even there when I was told the week before that he/she would be there! AND the receptionist said they changed doctors earlier that week ... Well, why not wasnt I notified of the change BEFORE my appt before I wasted gas, went on the hot sun. That ruined my whole day. They have ONE more change to make it right !!!!

This ppace is a scam. 3Months ago I bought a pair of glasses for my daughter which had costed me $157 not including the $ 75 insurance paid for it the total $232. Afte 3 months the frame it cracked and broke in pieces just like that by itself. I went back to the store and one of the employee there his name Carlos told me he will talk with the manager and the manager will call back because the glasses have 1month warranty only, thats weird you pay $232 for a month only!!!! Anyway it has been 2weeks since then and still nothing keep saying we will call you. When I go to the store they say manager is not here so we can do nothing without him. Very disappointed! Stay away from them !

Horrible place. Have had nothing but problems recently. Our entire family had their exams 6 months ago and received glasses. My daughter and I were complaining that it was still blurry with our new glasses. We went back and had another exam. Imagine my surprise when both the original perscriptions were wrong. We got our new glasses after waiting yet another 7+ days. This time, mine were made without the original bifocal lenses. I was so frustrated that I just went somewhere else. I just recently noticed my daughter squinting. When I asked her about them, she didnt want to upset me by telling me they were NEVER clear like they should be when she got the new pair. I just called and explained this to someone who put me on hold, transfered me to someone who acted like I just called in so I had to explain it all over AGAIN. She preceeded to tell be because it has been over 30 days, I would have to pay the regular, uninsured rate to be seen. ?? Now why would any professional doctor charge, no matter how small, a fee to fix a mistake that has been made OVER and OVER again. ?? It just seems a bit unprofessional, Incompetent, with a touch of bad customer service dont you think?

They are thieves, I took my wife who has 250.00 for the eyeglass in her medical plan after choosing the frame they tell me that if I use the 250 of the plan I would have to pay $ 264 extra but if I did not use the plan I only paid $ 254 for the same frame we had to choose another mount and with everything and that they charged us an extra $ 40 plus the 250 of the plan. I do not recommend them at all. The employees were friendly but they did not even know how to explain it.
