I was passing through town and noticed I was overdue on an oil change. I called asking if they had any immediate openings and said they didn’t but they still were able to squeeze me in. I wanted to give a tip but the mechanic refused, so this was the next best thing. Staff was really great!

On Friday night I started to hear the sounds of a scraping rotor on my rear brakes. Very quickly it became worse. I called around right away Saturday morning(today 3/20/2021) to shops from Rochester to Owatonna and Tim at the Owatonna Firestone was the only one that could fit me in and get it done that day. He was upfront and explained the cost, tried to find any coupons or discounts he could and had me in the road as soon as possible. Yes, prices were high, but for a last minute Saturday morning I expect to pay for that convenience and quality of work with lifetime guarantee on parts. Definitely a great place to bring your vehicles.

Online appointment system wasnt functioning. No voicemail attached to appointment phone number, however they got me in by noon. And did what I asked without hassling me about other known issues, which is the bane of the repair process for the average automotive owner. Their pricing is slightly high on parts, however being a chain store they are limited by their supplier distributer so I understand why they are not permitted to install third part sourced parts. ((This is an increasingly common practice in automotive repair that is NOT benefiting the industry in the long run in favor of boosting individual shop revenue through compulsory customer loyalty). This was pleasantly an absent attitude from this shop as they were very polite to work with.)

Got a flat on the highway while on our way to celebrate Christmas with family in Sioux Falls. Husband called and gave us a quote over the phone. We showed up and had us back on the road within the hour. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Our car broke down nearby and was towed to firestone. They gave us the bad news and we had to rent a car to get back to eastern iowa. We went today to pick it up after they babysat it for weeks. After problems with our car trailer the guys at firestone bent over backwards to help us get the car loaded and ready to go. Highly rated! Was 10 hours from home and got the worst flat Ive ever seen in my life. Firestone helped us right away, gave us a number for a taxi to take the kids to the Holiday Inn for the night, and let the kids watch cartoons until the taxi showed up. Amazing service!

These guys are great! Heading North from Kansas City on the Sunday before Christmas our check engine light and TRAC light came on. Of course, its a Sunday and right before Christmas. I called and spoke with the Manager hoping they would be open and could run diagnostics. Told they were short-handed and only doing tires but to drop by and he would at least check it out to make sure we were safe on our drive to Northern Minnesota. Stopped by an hour later, ran diagnostics, nothing serious that couldnt wait until we got back home, confirmed 4-wheel drive was functioning. I tried to pay him something for the time but the manager insisted not necessary and just wanted to make sure we were safe continuing our drive. THANK YOU!

Blew a tire on the interstate just outside of town. Fleetfarm was to busy to take. Called Firestone, was given a few options and quotes over the phone. Walked in greeted by friendly help staff. They got us back on the road in just about an hour.

Had an appointment during the middle of the week, late morning and had excellent service. The man I met at the desk was kind. I am easily intimidated when it comes to vehicle maintenance since I know very little about vehicles, but he was sincere and made me feel welcome.

My friend and I were driving to a concert when our car broke down!! We got a tow to their shop about an hour before they were supposed to close, and they stayed over an hour late to fix our car and get us back on the road to our concert!! They went above and beyond our expectations and if we ever get stuck anywhere with car trouble again, I can only hope that we are close to these wonderful guys!! Theres a lot more to the story that they were exceptional for but I wont drone on. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

No compensation for my time.

Great service. Employees were polite and knowledgeable. Came in for a basic oil change was given a coutesy inspection free of charge and an online coupon nearly halving the cost of the oil change. All recommendations for future service were optional and accompanied with estimates.

A few months back my wife had a slow leak in the tire of her vehicle. Brought it to Firestone and they said there was a nail in the tire, but they said they couldnt patch because it was too close the wall of the tire or something. They told her she would need to buy a new tire. We took the car to another shop and they patched the tire with no problems.

If you don’t know what’s wrong with your car, Be careful when you take your car here. They will fix everything and anything they can and charge you what they want. Even though your car didn’t need what they fixed.. went in for ice and snow cleaning under my car and apparently It needed three belts changed. Even tho my car only has two belts but got charged for three. And they wanted to change my axels and who knows what else when that was never the issue.. I would only recommend this place if you plan to get an oil change. But if you don’t know what’s wrong with you car then don’t take It here because they will to say a lot of things are wrong so they can charge you what they want. Very upset they tried to screw me into paying more money. Don’t get me wrong they’re really respectful when they talk to you but they will try to pull one over you if you don’t know what’s wrong with your car

I had a bolt go through the center of my tire. It went flat i live in the city and so my spare wasent going to get me home. They said the tire was able to be patched if i wanted instead of buying a new tire. So i didnt have to spend a bunch of money on a new tire. They got me in and out quickly.

Went to Firestone because i had a hole in my tire. Very disappointed that they try to sell me a new tire because they didnt want to patch it. He told me that the angle of the hole went it came in we could not patch it. The hole was right in the center of the tire. I had to tell him that i used to fix tires when i was younger and had to argu with him to get him to do it. Just terrible! When people get taken advantage of when they dont know any difference. Finally did it.

They went out of their way to get us going on a Sunday, and the quality of work was excellent. Our car broke down outside of Owatonna late on a Saturday night due to an alternator going bad. By the time they opened at 8am theyd already verified the problem was the alternator, and Levi (who I had contact with) said hed try to track down an alternator for me... ON A SUNDAY. Despite the warehouse being closed Levi was able to convince someone he knew to open the warehouse, and get the only available alternator. He also advised me that my tires were shot, and gave me a great price on replacements (the tires were definitely on their last road trip). I cant thank Levi, and the mechanic for going out of their way, doing great work, and helping a couple of Iowans get home so we could keep our jobs. Thank you!

Went for a check the engine on our newly bought truck. Had the front breaks replaced. Checked at a different auto shop and they where installed incorrectly and it was destroying our tire. Went back, they fixed it only for us to have more of the same issues. Went in this last time to have our fog lights checked and they broke a piece off on the dash and didnt tell us about it. Every step into that store is $100 an hour labor while 4 guys sit and tittle their thumbs. And every solution ends up in more work and us having to bring the truck back in. If I could give this place 0/5 stars I would. Go anywhere else.

Went in, with my windshield wipers busted up. Like they wouldnt even move. They fixed the problem in less than 10 mins. These people never let me down.

Now to start off with this store it has one the best customer service team I have ever dealt with. To tell my short fun story starts with calling in to make an appointment and get a brake job done and ask if they could do it with in the week and they manage to fit in a slot on a Sunday mind you at 9:30 AM. Two days later from the call. I drive my truck into the parking area and drop it off. And I ask how long should this take and the store manager says in a sense ... about Five hours sir ... . So Im thinking, Cool !, Ill go to work in between and pick up my truck after work all a good day. Well heres when the fun/short part comes into place usually firestones calls the customer to tell you your vehicle is done. So, I call them and was just asking for an update to see how things are going, and store manager was just going call me funny enough. So then they had about one more hour to go due to getting a hold up from the part source. Now we are already on 7 and a half hours of working on this truck and was having a fun time with a brake line on this 22 year old truck. So after the firestone team mangege to find the right brake line after few tries already. Side note: this is going into their normal business hours, and at this time there is a winter storm warning in effect too. So, its against the clock on getting this truck out the door. During all this Im just killing time with reading Motor Trend and chating a bit with the manager as well. Yet the manager wasnt going to quit until it was done. Now that we are up to speed on this short story, and after a grand 8 and a half hours of work they manage to get er done at around 6:30 PM and I was by far a damn good happy camper. And finally, to salute the gentlemen, I will most definitely come again to Firestone in Owatonna, MN.

BEWARE! These are the kind of shops who give the good guys a bad name!I needed a patch in my tire as I picked up a nail in it. This place proceed to tell me the tire was unrepairable because there was a gash in the sidewall.They wanted me to buy a new tire at over $100 when all it needed was a patch in the tread area. Totally repairable!Then they give me an estimate for hundreds $$$ for front end work that needs to be done.As a previous Auto Repair Facility owner (AutoMax Burnsville) guys like this make us honest shops work very hard to over come the negative stereotypes of shops like this that rip customers off.Stay clear of these crooks!

Every time I take my car here its never fixed right. Im done with them, I will just eat my losses and have someone else fix what i paid them to fix. So disappointed and get paid regardless if its fixed or not.

Horrible. We have lifetime alignment for WIFE car. We got an alignment done when we purchase two tires from them only to have them be eaten up within 6months due to poor alignment. Just went to get another alignment and order 4 tires only to realise the car shaking and loud noise coming from the wheel. After we reached our destination I checked the wheel and we lost one lugnut and 3 out of the 4 that left are loose were i can turn them by my fingers. I have 3 boys in the car and our wheel could of fallen off on the highway. Try calling after hours and leave a message but seems they have no voicemail system. Very angry customer.

Havent had any issues at all. Also though, I am a retired auto mechanic.....But they have been honest. Little slow but thats ok.

Prices are steep. They tell you things that are wrong with your car that arent even bed yet. Told me it would take 30 min... It took 2.5 hours. and if you are driving a car beware the parking lot entrance you will scrape your bumper

I went in for broken belt in emergency situation and was told front end had terribly worn parts and was unsafe. I found out from my hometown service tech the front end was aligned about 4 months and 7000 miles earlier.
