Speedometer didn’t work. Gas gauge didn’t work. Not right size wheels so the lug nuts exploded after 50 miles. Odometer doesn’t work. Was my fault for not properly getting car inspected. After I wrote check next day I tried to cancel but since I signed contract they threatened to sue me. I would give 0 out of 10 if possible. Businesses like this is what burn people. Oh also transmission leak and more. Had to get work done to car for it to just be legal to drive and pass inspection.

My husband bought an Escalade, and we also purchased a 1989 Jaguar Convertible.Sadly my husbands vehicle was destroyed by a deer and it was a sad day it was one of the most beautiful car and he traveled in it and sat it was the most comfortable ride hed ever had.My Jaguar is in pristine condition I just love it.Buying a vehicle from Tapp Motors is like buying from a friend!! Simply put, a great car buying experience. Tommy Jr. was so easy to work with, even personally picked me up at the airport to make things happen. The car looked better in person than in the photos and everything he promised was delivered. Im sure I will buy another car here down the line.

I purchased a pre-owned Jeep from Tapp. He adamantly tried to get me to not purchase an extended warranty stating his vehicles did not need a warranty. I did and the one they sold me only paid up to $3000.00 (my fault for not looking at the warranty documentation more closely).I purchased this Jeep on Jan. 20, 2020 and on Feb. 15, 2020 (26 days), while my wife was driving down the highway, the engine threw a rod.Total expenses to repair the engine and a few other flaws is around $12,000.00 with my out of pocket expense being around $9000.00.Unfortunately I have no legal recourse, if I did I would file a suit for expenses plus other monetary losses and expenditures.One would think that with all this you may at least get an apology from Mr. Tapp, but I have not had any correspondence from him about this ordeal. A person that has a reputable business should be willing to assist their customers monetarily when a catastrophic event such as this happens to a vehicle that they sold. They should stand behind their products.BEWARE OF TAPP MOTORS!

If I could leave a Zero Star review I would, sold a truck I had to Tapp, Sr looked my truck over test drove it twice and, even thought he heard it missing a little, but still offered me some money for it so I took it, with that being said he could have had somebody look at but he didn’t. After receiving the check from tapp for my truck I took it to my bank and paid it off. The next day Tommy Sr calls me and wants to to come get my truck said he no longer wanted it anymore he cancelled payment on the check. So if you ever want to sell or buy anything from Tapp motors DON’t please go to someone else you will have way better service.

The owner is a real crook he is also a Tapp. He sold me a Honda motorcycle and swore to God it was a good bike. He and three of his employees said they had ridden it in spite of the fact it was not rideable the day I bought it. He said oh, it needs a battery.I took it to his personal bike mechanic ..,.it only fired on one cylinder. Couldnt find the part needed anywhere in the country. It was sold as junk he refused to compensate me.

Ive known Tommy Tapp for years and knew he was one of the better car dealers around the Owensboro area. BUT... I never knew how gracious a person could be treated until my wife and I went to view a car there in October.Vali Preda, a Son-in-Law, took us out to view the SUV my wife Judy had found on the Tapp Motors website. It was everything we were looking for and more. In the deal, Vali showed Tommy the condition of the tires, and Tommy ordered new tires for the vehicle! Vali provided us a Carfax, confirming everything he had told us about the vehicles previous owners and that it was Southern owned. Long story short, were now the proud owners of that 2015 Lexus RX 350 AWD! The deal was solid, very reasonable in price; plus we were treated with total honesty and integrity from the first statement. Tapp Motors is indeed one of the Best car dealerships weve EVER dealt with, from start to finish. Anything from Custom Rebuilds, to Speciality Jeeps, to Mercedes & Lexus... Any of the best on the road can be seen at Tapps. Judy and I HIGHLY recommend stopping in and talking with Vali, or Tommy Jr., next time you need a top quality vehicle. Im soooo glad WE did! The experience itself was ok.The office is pleasant.I am used to getting a new car and having the company wash the car,check out everything and fill it up as an appreciation for you spending your money with them.There are after all tons of places that want your business. We got our car and had to immediately fill it up because it was on empty. We had to have it washed and cleaned. The tire light indicator was on and then a light bulb indicator. I called and took it back out there.They replaced the light bulb and hooked it up. All lights are off when I leave. The next time I start my car the tire light is back on and now a brake light and service light! It needs an oil change,brake shoes all around and a new caliper. Ridiculous! This should have been done by the company. Im afraid to see what else it needs in the near future! Hudson in Madisonville provided a much better quality of service on our last vehicle.I will remember that when friends ask and on our next purchase.
