Richard just did our semi-annual maintenance and did a fantastic job. We were having a problem with one of our compressors, and he quickly diagnosed the problem and repaired it. Walker Electric has been taking care of our A/C and Heating for seven years. We highly recommend them!
Weve used Walker Electric for maintenance on our heat pump for around 10 years. It was an old, cheap system & probably every part on it had been replaced. Recently, we had Walker install a new system (about time!), better quality than we had, better capacity & better installation than the original. As nonresident residents with a second home in Oxford, its super important to us to have a service we can trust to do good work. Walker is our go-to.
I called Walker Electric to fix my HVAC from pouring water in my hallway and fix the cooling. After 7 visits to my house, it’s still pouring water and the only to prevent flooding my hall is to turn off the thermostat and die of heat. They changed out things and the problem still exists. The only thing that’s changed is I have a fan hardwired to stay on that’s driving my electric bill to unplayable amounts and now I have a bill from them for over $500.They were nice. They were professional. They didn’t fix anything. Same problem I called them to fix is still the problem and now I owe them for not fixing it.
Our business has used Walker Electric for a variety of service calls over the last 5 years. We have had two service appointments in the last month. The first was for our annual commercial AC maintenance and the cleaning of our commercial ice machine. The second was yesterday for a problem with our walk-in. In both instances the technicians were knowledgeable, courteous, and on time. We highly recommend Walker Electric.
Heat went out and called Walker. Technician was there fast and fixed the issue in a timely manner. Very professional and experienced.... Will 100% use them in the future. Highly recommend.
Unethical, fraudulent repair men and business operators. They did not come prepared to diagnosis an issue on two separate trips. Technician could not locate a leak and then sent a bill for services not performed without resolving a problem. I had to bring a second company out that get another opinion and they found the leak within seconds.
I called Walker Electric after the heat suddenly went out in my home. Stephen and JP showed up first thing in the morning and in about 12 minutes had diagnosed the problem (a broken CO exhaust motor). They picked up a new motor from the office and after installing and testing the heating system they were out the door in about half an hour flat. I liked their responsiveness and I certainly appreciated their expertise. Most of all, they were patient in explaining what was wrong, and they went through the trouble of installing a new furnace filter before leaving. I have called Walker Electric for AC and heating work several times over 15 years of living in Oxford, and Ive always been impressed by their knowledgeable and respectful service team.
Great service
Never came to fix the issue... never could get them to call me back... went with a different company
I have had a long running account with Walker Electric and have always had superior service. My first unit was installed back in 2006. We have an older home and the distribution system was restricted because of the configuration of the home and so Jeff at Walker came up with a creative solution and as part of the fix he replaced under-sized duct work for free. I have a maintenance plan with Walker and they are proactive in making sure the units are serviced. Problem I have had under warranty are always attended to in a timely manner. There on-site service representatives are always knowledgable and courteous. Their are several comments on this site relating to cost of service. There is nothing cheap about HVAC syatems or the time and effort it takes to remedy problems that crop up with older units. To those folks who complain I would say: do yourself a favor and get a maintenance contract and budget for the future rather than complain about not getting expedited service when something breaks.
Over priced, and slow!!!My ac went out the other day so I called my normal ac guy but he was out of town so I called Walker because it is the company we use where I work. They could not give me an estimated time for the job but I figured it would happen that day at least. The next day they called me back after I had called back a 2nd time to make sure they did not forget about me. The technician was friendly (the only positive about the experience) and he fixed the problem in about 15 min, we chatted while he did the job and explained what he was doing and said that he was going to replace the one large capacitor with two smaller ones because it would save me money. NOT TRUE!!!Had the same job done by a different company one year ago and and it cost me $90.00with Walker it cost me $184.00 I dont know how this is justified. When I went in and asked why it was so expensive the secretary went to the back where I heard her tell someone what I said, and his response was Guess he should have gone where he went last year. When she brought me my change she still gave me no explanation. I will not use this service again.
I felt like my wife was taken advantage of. The tech was only there 15 to 20 minutes but put on the invoice that he was there for an hour and a half. Charged her $230 to replace a ~$25 relay. I will find someone else.
Stephen came by and got my heat back up and running quickly and was very professional and informative. Ill definitely be calling them next time I have a problem.
Stephen was here yesterday and did a great job for us finding some small problems we did not existed.
