I stopped at Midas first and the guy there wasn’t very friendly or helpful. I then called Auto Zone. Luis was so pleasant and accommodating. Once there, despite being the only one there at the time, busy on two calls and helping another customer, Luis came out and helped me. He then went beyond and checked my oil level and explained what I should do later. He was extremely nice, happy and helpful! A++

Great service at this location! My car battery was dead and I got it jumped I went over there and Luis the store manager went above and beyond to look at it, walk me through my options and replace it for me! I would definitely go back and recommend based off this encounter.

Im actually quite disappointed as the part I ordered was missing hardware and ultimately left without a part. The reason Im giving this location 5 stars is the measures theyre taking to keep customers safe. After just leaving another autozone location the other day because employees werent wearing masks. But at this location not only were employees all wearing masks properly, theyve roped off the entrance so people entering and exiting cant pass each other through the same door. And the employee helping me was smart enough to print off the computer screen to show me rather than having people step behind the counter to see the screen like employees were doing at the last location.

Went there to check a warning light... they did a few check and helped me figure out the issue (it was transmission pressure sensor), the person even went as far as to look up what that means and explained the way to go to fix it (first rib add fluid and see if that helps)... he eccentric advised how to change the website if needed (I will not do that, I dont have the tools and knowhow). So overall they went above and beyond what I would have expected.... even though there was no profit in it fire then *o just got transmission liquid and a funnel). Definable worth going there

I desperately needed a driver side wiper arm. They did not have it in stock but Adeline (sales part mgr) and Angel (sales associate) went above and beyond calling multiple stores in order to locate the item for me. Addy recognized I was struggling to install a part out front of the store, came out, asked if I needed tools or anything and sent Angel out to assist! Really appreciate the customer service!! I recently went to this location to find an item. Specifically windshield wipers for my vehicle, since my old ones have gone bad. I came into the store and was greeted by the staff. They asked if I needed help with something and I told them of my endeavor. An individual went behind the counter and yelled out the information. I am hard of hearing so I only caught some of what he said.I assumed that I looked confused because he repeated himself, but this time he gave an aisle number. I went to the aisle number and started looking for the number the staff member yelled out. I was still confused as to which item would fit my car. I looked at the book and found the information, while the same staff member who yelled out before, stated 18 or 21 at me again. I was there for a long while trying to decide what I needed since I was given no assistance. I then picked an item and went to the register. I was behind another customer, but as soon as he finished, the same staff member who gave me assistance told me that he could help me check out at a different register. He then went behind the counter, in an area that blocked my vision of his location. I thought I was crazy since he told me he would check me out. I then decided to get back to line. Another staff member then said that the staff member was ready behind the counter waiting for me to come up, but said nothing to me when I was following him.He checked my item, but as I was about to insert my card he scolded me to wait. Again, I can barely hear him and I asked him to repeat himself and he scolds me again about not putting the card in. He then begins to tell me about how the system is slow and how it is bad. I had never felt so stupid and humiliated with this entire process, all I wanted to do was leave as soon as possible. Once I got home I noticed that I only bought 1 windshield wiper, when I needed 2 of them. This only added more negative feelings since I asked for windshield wipers for the front of the car. I would assume that they would recommend a product that had two windshield wipers instead of 1. I also asked if the item I choose was fine, but I was not told anything back.Overall, unless you are an experienced shopper for autoparts and can find the items immediately one your own, I would not recommend this place. It would seem that the staff only provides minimal effort when helping customers. I receieved poor customer service from staff members who did not care to assist me, and a clerk who was seemingly annoyed with me. The customer experience was worse than poor, it was abysmal.

Juan willingly helped me install my headlight bulb, which was a bit more work than I expected, and was super kind. It was pouring outside and he still helped out.

The people are cool, they wont answer any questions you have and even give you a printouts of parts you may be wondering about.

Best auto parts store around. Knowledgeable and practical help provided by friendly local staff. The place gives you the benefits and prices of a nationwide retailer with a neighborhood experience. They don’t try to sell you anything you don’t need and they offer plenty of free services and advice which can get your car running right without a visit to the mechanic if you have basic DIY capability and you can explain the issue(s) half competently. I’ve been here five or so times in the last few years because I have a stupid impractical seasonal car and they keep exceeding my expectations.

I have been to auto zone many times and they have always helped me out tremendous ly tody I needed a new battery and thomas the store mgr helped me out greatly without going to any auto mechanic he put the same kind of battery in my car in the trunk which is where they put these batteries in cobalts took about 5 minutes and it was in . I would recommend them highly for mostly everything, autozone in palatine be hey, you are the best!!! Thanks again for all of your help thru the years😊😊😊I cant even begin to tell you how you have helped me out and no labor charge!!

Auto Zone is what you would expect from your local auto parts store. With all of the different models of cars a store can only carry so much but Auto Zones seem to do a pretty good job. People were as helpful as I wanted them to be, thankfully not all over me like a cheap suit but available if I had a question.

On November 24th 2019 Sunday afternoon at around 6:30 pm my Daughter’s car didn’t start after she got off work from CVS pharmacy on the corner of northwest and smith streets about a mile and a half from auto zone, My daughter called me and I went to help her but I couldn’t get the car to start we thought it was the key remote control’s battery so we went there to get a new remote control battery and Thomas the store manager helped us since the minute we walked in and till the end of our visit he told us that the remote battery was fine and he started to ask us questions such if the stereo work and if the lights on the car work and he came up to the conclusion that it could be the battery so he let us borrow a set of jumper cables we drove back to the car and since the battery is in the trunk and with no power we couldn’t open the trunk and as we were trying to figure it out Thomas showed up he drove all the way down because he had a feeling that we were not going to be able to open the truck so he came and knew exactly how to jump the car from a different place rather than from the battery, he was able to get it to start and we drove back to his store and went out of his way to help us he then checked the car’s battery and found out that the problem was the alternator and gave us all kinds of suggestions to our satisfaction ., I had never had such as a great experience for., my daughter and myself being the first time there and got treated like Kings it really make us to go no where else but there . With that kind of service that Thomas is treating customers he should be recognized and rewarded.Thomas Thank you very much

The older fellow Joe is very helpful and knows his stuff. Anytime I go to that autozone I try to get him to help me out. He has a good eye for the parts you need (dexcool antifreeze for gm cars for example), and he has great customer service skills. The store itself is clean and organized, so you should never have issues finding what you need.

The guys here are helpful and patient, didnt try to sell me headlight fluid or anything crazy. Made it painless to get what I needed.

Associate (Danny A) took time to test my vehicles battery, without pressuring me to buy any merchandise. When the battery came back bad and needing replacement, he also checked the vehicles alternator with a quick diagnostic test. Both tests were free and the associate was also able to provide me with tips on removing the bad battery, which required that I take several panels off before replacing the battery

Dont look forward to going to parts stores. Use to be Gearheads behind the counter, now just people who need a job. Cant find what I need on floor and usually part I need isnt stocked.

If I could I would give this place no stars. After being told the wrong price for a battery. I bought the battery and asked them to please help me put it into my car. They came out looked Tolman me to hang on, left me outside (mind you its maybe 20°F out), and went back inside and helped other customers over me, even though I was first. I am never coming here again. Thanks for NOT helping out a girl who REALLY needed help after having an absolutely crappy morning. The funny thing is that no one was in the store but me when I bought the battery. So everyone they helped came in after me.
