The floral collection is top notch and best time to get them is when Floral section goes on 50% sale. They keep updating with the Seasonal decor items, and with a little creativity you can come up with endless ideas and they have idea books to help you with as well. Register to the email, and you will always have 40% off coupon in your mail. Save it for using on any full priced item. Keep checking emails and always buy the items on 50% sale, that’s the best price you can get. All the items in the store goes on sale at some point. The clearance section is also worth exploring. Karen in the custom frame department is truly amazing at what she does. I have brought my favorite collection of concert posters to her and walk out extremely satisfied every single time. She knows the right mat and frame combinations that bring artwork to life on the first try. Karen is wonderful to work with, very patient and precise, and always a pleasure to see. Highly recommend her and the quality she produces. Give her a raise, she deserves it!!

For the most part its great to shop at hobby lobby. They have lots to look at if youre a crafter or you like to decorate. I make wreaths and they have nice signs to use. They put up their holiday stuff early so its great if youre an early shopper.

Great sale on almost everything. Been a long time since l went to Hobby Lobby. My sister went to find a new car key holder that you put up on the wall in a kitchen. Found a great wooden on. Had a basket to hold mail or what ever and a bottle to put in dried flowers. It held I believe 5 or 6 hooks for keys. Saved 50%. In all after my sister was done she saved $95.00.

The people there were so helpful and friendly in the fabric department and at check-out. Everyone wearing masks and keeping distant. Love this store!

Karen in the custom framing department is top notch. She is creative, makes great suggestions, and has a knack to make framed art aesthetically pleasing. My home is decorated with full expression because of Karen and her commitment to serving her customers. Im grateful to be working with her :-)

This is a craft store offering the same as it’s competitors, but with a little something extra. It is heavy on the invisible man in the sky items which, as an atheist had not interest to me. I only stopped in to grab something as it was the only store in walking distance. But their bigoted LGBT positions disgust me so won’t be going back in anytime soon.

Love the store, not crazy about the service or lack of. It appears that they are always 2 employees short of running a full shift. The wait to check out is consistently frustrating-ly long... Everytime.

For it being right before Christmas and after all the major sales, I found what I was looking for and more. And the workers were all over putting out more merchandise. It was a fun time. I love Christmas shopping in rain and snow. It adds to the overall excitement.

Now, usually Im a big fan of Hobby Lobby. I just bought a house so I have spent way too money there in the past 2 months. I was about to start my Christmas haul but the manager there (Hispanic Male) was really rude today. I will be shopping at Home Goods in the same shopping center for Christmas now. I was purchasing a flower arrangement that was on sale for 50% off. It was the only one and the cost was $149.99. As I waiting in the line for the register, I noticed that the wooden vase was pretty scuffed and it looked as if it had been colored in with a paint marker and still showed many scratches on the base. I asked the clerk if an additional markdown could be taken as I wanted the item but it was obviously damaged. She called a manager, a woman, who said to offer 10% off. I had gotten out of line to wait for this answer so I decided to go ahead with the additional 10%. Once I received my receipt, I noticed that the 10% discount was not added. 10% off of $149.00 is almost $15 and when I told the clerk, she told me that I would have to go wait in the return line to fix it. Once I did that, the return clerk told me that she would have to verify the 10% discount again. By now, I was beginning to think that this arrangement wasnt work all this effort. The male manager came over, obviously already with an attitude and his little tablet and asked me who told me that it was 10% off. I explained that I had just checked out on register 5 and he could ask her but I didnt take note of anyones name. He began to go on about how it was already on sale. I know this...remember, I shop(ped) there several times a week. WIth a look of disgust, he takes his phone outs to calculate the discount and tells the return clerk to return the money to my card and re-check it at discount. By now, I am insulted that he has questioned me after I have waited in line twice for this damaged flower arrangment. I told the clerk that I did not like the way that I was being questioned rudely and that she should just return my money. I am a Manager in my work field. I manage many people and customers on a daily basis. I offer gratis service when the client is unhappy and that goes a long way in maintaining ongoing business. I know that I am just one customer but this upset me enough to write this long review. I hope someone will address this poor customer service from this manager (I wish I had gotten his name) because right now, I wont be shopping there for my Hobbies, decor, framinng, etc. in this Palatine Hobby Lobby! Do Better! October 7, 2020.UDATE: This bothered me so much that I went back on Ooctober 10th, for 3 reasons. 1. I wanted to take a photo of the damage on the flower arrangement (See below). 2. I needed the name of the manager. His name is Brian 3. I needed the rest of the yarn to finish my scarf that I am learning to crochet.

This was the first time I visited this location. This is your typical Hobby Lobby. I liked the set up of decorations in the front door area. However, the scarecrows did not have prices. Yesterday I visited a different H.L. in Round Lake Beach. They honored the 40% off coupon and also gave me a free greeting card. The clerk at the Palatine store did not honor the coupon and did not give me a greeting card even though she gave the person ahead of me a card. I actually spent less yesterday, and received the card. Round Lake Beach has nicer clerks.

While Hobby Lobby has much to offer, it has to be the hardest store to find what you are looking for. There is no directory and hopefully you can find someone to help you. Otherwise, you are such roaming the store wasting your time.

Our favorite place for arts and crafts. This place, unlike some other stores, calms us down while we shop. Wonderful selection, reasonable prices (check the online coupons). Staff is very nice and kind.

I love looking around this place, there is so much here! They have all the holidays covered and they have everything you could think of for your crafts, photos, and decorating. I love and respect that they are closed on Sundays for religious reasons.

This place always has what I need and more. And sometimes stuff I didn’t need to buy. I got burlap bu the yard to make the head for my Sam cosplay and the lady helped me understand what dye I needed to dye my pj for the same costume

When you walk in you’re greeted by three friendly staff members, at least one will walk over to you and ask if they can offer any assistance to help you. It really does help as the store is kind of big and there isn’t a map to tell you where everything is. Their return policy is impressive and their lines go by very quickly, even in a busy day. Great experiences shopping there.

Cant beat the selection for your crafting needs as well as home decor. The employees are friendly, too. One employee who was already wearing her coat, ready to leave, saw me walking up and down looking for something and said cheerily, I havent officially punched out yet, can I help you? She pointed me in the right direction and I found what I was looking for. It put me in a good mood, which I cant always say for shopping trips elsewhere.

I spend more money here then I should, they sell a lot of things you cant find elsewhere. It lives up to it name. Best place to go for mainstream brands of yarn thats great for knitting and crochet. And they have a wide variety of jewelry finding.

A huge store! I mean huge! Its very well organized. Has everything from ribbons and lace to wood and paint. There are DIY kits, craft kits, and sewing kits. They have a really good sized clearance section as well. It definitely deserves a look through because sometimes you can find amazing things for cheap!

Racist front end staff.We are brown family from India. Usually go to this store all the time. Today we went to this store, we bought a toy for my 3 year old. First, when we reached the register, she avoided my kid saying hello to her after her several attempts. After the cashier handed the toy to my kid, she said thank you to the cashier for more than 5 times and she intentionally ignored my kid, didnt reply. That’s my kid’s very first racial incident. Thanks to Hobby lobby. May be it’s nothing for some people, but it really hurts me to see my kid being ignored because of her color for the first time. That’s it for us, no more hobby lobby for life for my family. Rather order online from amazon.

Items are good quality and lots of variety. Can be expensive if not on sale. Employees seem nice, takes a REALLy long time to check out. They need to update their system and have more staff for checking out.

Michelle has helped me several times over the past few months. She is always pleasant and helpful. I have not come across an employee at this store that isnt... but Michelle, in particular, always goes out of her way to help me.

I stop here frequent for art supplies. They have a wide array of acrylics that I opt to use as without Japanese Colbat dryer oil is rendered useless to me . It does dull the shine as I have found over the years. I was pleased at the wide array for feathers and stones along with leather that contributed to my mask I was working on. They have everything that I need. I never bother the salespeople because I was in management at an art store back in NY at one point but the off chance I do they do help. I do not agree with their for of religious but I could care less as they would hate mine. Great store! Salvatore Dali would even enjoy it here

This is a wonderful store with a huge selection which I was pleasantly with as being a former Manager at an art store of this magnitude as a teenager it takes a lot to impress me . The salespeople are always personable and willing too help you find certain items you need for projects. My mixed media art work excels thanks to them . My paintings took on a new life .
