A lens fell out of glasses I had purchased there @ 2years ago...went in without appointment to get it fixed, brought a book in case of wait time. No need, Samantha fixed the glasses within three minutes of arrival...Since I was already there and overdue for checkup, Kelly from Dr. Moustopulos office was able to get me in for unscheduled appointment in the next hour...Wendy checked me out, gave me advice on frames, all in all a very pleasant experience as all involved were friendly, eager, and quite helpful!
This was my first experience using Visionworks. It was an excellent! Dr Moustopoulos provided a very thorough examination and answered all of my questions. Then, Kathy Miller provided expert guidance through the maze of frame and lens choices. Upon my return to pick up my glasses, Kathy made sure everything was perfect and exactly what I wanted (prescription, alignment, fit). WOW! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I am very satisfied!

Such a helpful staff, professional and personable. They know the inventory and what looks good. They went to every measure to assure I left happy as well as glasses that were comfortable and fit my face. Barbi was extremely patient and knowledgeable.I stopped in for a fitting and they made me feel welcome. I got 4 pairs of glasses for my daughter and I snd she loves hers as well. This is my new eye care place.
It was an interesting visit .Just a simple bifocals eyeglass .The price is $ 240 without insurance + $100 the exam = $ 340. With Insurance : the exam is paid for by our insurer and and pay a frame max of $ 110 Now the same eyeglasses cost $ 295 after the insurer paid $100 + $115 extra to the Visionworks ??? wow what a funny math. The salesman explanation for a price difference : was big BS its not logical . I will never understand these companies who milking out insurance money. Thats why we have to pay very expensive insurance premiums.
You can get glasses anywhere these days but to get expert help is rare. Kathy M was the expert for me. She walked me through all the options as I was looking at everything from digital progressive to sunglasses for working flight crew. She also paid attention to getting what I needed affordably. Overall I had a very pleasant morning with the crew on both sides of the facility, patient/retail.Terry made my first eye exam a breeze from the start. Very professional, very comfortable. Dr.Webb had me analyzed at the perfect rate of prompt and professionalism, missing nothing. Clean sanitized state of the art equipment. I would recommend anybody. Excellent selection of relevant and timeless frames to fit your needs. Everyone rocked! But Wendy was the one who helped me on retail side. 4 thumbs up!! 5 star establishment!
Wendy was awesome! Even though it was Good Friday and they were getting ready to close she took the time too give incredible customer service. I was at several stores throughout the day and even another vision works in Seminole and the service there was horrible compared to Wendy. Im sure the Palm harbor store is doing much better than most of the visionworks throughout the Tampa Bay area because of her management experience and her detail to customer service .
Recently visited Vision Works in Palm Harbor,Fl. for an eye exam as my Dr. of many years was not seeing patients for the last several months of the year and my backup Dr. Was booked through the end of the year. I stopped by Vision Works to look at some glasses and told some staff members my situation and asked for some feedback on Dr. Christina. The consensus opinion is she was outstanding and after experiencing Dr. Christina she is OUTSTANDING. She made some adjustments to my contact lens prescription that has made a big difference in my vision. She ordered a trial pair to use for a week. I can see much better now, close and far. I was not able to work on my computer without reading glasses and now can work with only my contact lenses. Thank you Dr. Christina. Then I shopped for a new pair of glasses. That is where Nicole comes into the picture. Nicole assisted me 5 years ago with a pair of glasses. She still remembered me. I was impressed with her knowledge and customer service skills 5 years and Nicole exceeded all expectations again with OUTSTANDING service throughout the process. Nicole is an OUTSTANDING representation of Vision Works from the time you walk into Vision Works and she greets you until your needs are completed. Thank you again to Dr. Christina and Nicole for my positive experience at Vision Works. I will be back for my annual exam.

My name is Fred and l had not gotten a new pair of glasses in a very long time. Having a fantastic vision plan thru my job I decided it was high time to get a new pair. The first people I interacted with was Samantha and Maria, two phenomenal women who made me feel right at home. Next Terry was fun and efficient in giving me an eye exam. Dr. M. really took her time and through her expertise graded my vision and gave me greater insight in how to care for me vision. Picking my glasses was a no hassle wonderful experience. I worked with Nicole, Samantha and the master guru of eye ware Barbi. These fantastic women helped me pick 2 pairs of chic and stylish glasses and a pair of sunglasses similar to what Cary Grant wore in North by Northwest.. I love Visionworks and my only regret is not needing anymore glasses lol. FYI Visionworks should make a TV commercial staring the lovely Samantha and Maria.
I have a terrific pair of glasses that I purchased last year from Visionworks. I mean theyre just great, progressives, transitions 2 (so I dont need sunglasses). Anyway, today I inadvertently sat on them. Frame was totally bent. Lenses fell out. Needless to say, I was really upset at my clumsiness. I dropped by the Palm Harbor store to see if they could be fixed. Barbi greeted me. Took a look at the glasses. And within minutes, they were as good as new! And at no charge! Barbi was as efficient as she was gracious. These are really good folks who back up their product with amazing service. Thank you, Barbi! Thank you, Visionworks!

My mother who is 87 and on oxygen had a appointment with the Dr. In the back of the store and did not realize she had to stop at the front of the store to check in and continued to walk to where she had the appointment. Barbie who is a employee who was sitting at a desk at the front of the store towards the back. Started yelling in front of other customers across the room to stop and ran over to my mom telling her she had to wear the mask over her nose not just her mouth covering up her oxygen and causing a scene! The girls in the back section that work for the Drs. Were very NICE and PROFESSIONAL!!

Worst experience ever! Spent two hours there for original appointment. Went back a week later to get my prescriptions which they didn’t give me during my appointment and they found only partially completed paperwork. They don’t know which doctor did the exam and they only filled it out for the prescriptions and not the glasses. Then I waited another hour and nothing got done and I just walked out with no glass script and a bunch of excuses. The manager was apologetic but the doctor didn’t do the paperwork or they lost it so nothing could be done. Disorganized and slow. Waste of time and money. Go somewhere else. Anywhere else.

Doctors office forcibly charges $50 for a eye scan that the new male attendant didnt even kno how to work or use properlyThen wrong frames were orderedTook 2 weeks to get the wrong ones in cause Texas was frozen over and they used that as excuseSamantha the GM said she would reorder but did nothing to fix bad experiences. I had my actual examination at the Westfield Citrus Park location but decided to get my frames at this one since it was closer to home. Nicole is absolutely FANTASTIC!!! I picked out a couple of frames myself but couldnt find any I really liked. Nicole took it upon herself to go through the store with a fine tooth comb and handpick frames that she thought would not only look good for my face shape but would also be advantageous for my sight while wearing. She made my purchase a seamless, relaxed and enjoyable experience. Shes an absolute delight to work with and I highly recommend anyone who is thinking about visiting this location to seek her out. Nicole is an asset to Visionworks and her customer service is top notch.
The staff are really nice but I would really not recommend getting your stuff done here. I got my eye exam on 7/29/2020. I got some trial contacts and they said to try the for a week before ordering them (this is my first time getting contacts) and then when I called they said they couldnt put through the order without the doctors confirmation which couldnt happen till the following weekend. From then till now, 9/10/2020 I was called twice with them trying to confirm my prescription before ordering my contacts but both times they had the wrong prescription for the wrong person pulled up and both time I was told that the access for my prescription was locked so they would call me back. I finally just went to get a copy of my prescription today, which the ladies at the front desk took care of quickly and with no problem accessing my prescription, and Im going to simply order my contacts on my own because this really isnt worth the hassle. Honestly, I am very disappointed with this experience and I personally will not be returning in the future.

Cristiano was amazing. I went in and the first thing I told him was I needed the lightest pair of glasses they had. He found me an amazing pair and they were light as a feather. I was sold immediately. He was excellent in explaining to me what additions I needed added to my glasses, and worked to get me the best pricing possible. I kept this young man late on Valentines Day, but he made very sure that I left a very happy customer. I cannot rate this young man any higher. If I could I would give him a 20. Very disappointed.i called ahead of time to make my appt making sure they take my insurance and ask questions before the day I go.when I get there everyone is very nice I go in my appt and once it’s done they tell me “I’m sorry but we don’t take your insurance “ well now I’m having to pay out of pocket when my reason to call a day ahead is to find out if they take my insurance so this does not happen.$79 dollars later I have my visual exam.people are friendly but they Deceive you and lie to you.
Its been a nightmare to get our glasses done, if I didnt call they wouldnt even notify me of the status, they lied to me more than three weeks and nothing

If you need glasses for your kids, this is not the place to go. Their glasses do not last even 6 months.I went today to the store because my childs glasses broke at the screw. The lady told me that they cannot fix it and I have to buy a new frame but they will give ma a discount of 25%. I told her that we bought the glasses 6 months ago, it was not our fault but the quality of the material on the frame that they gave us was not good. The glasses broke while I was cleaning them. She agree with me saying that things happen but still I need to pay. I paid for the frame with the prescription almost $400.00 last time expecting the glasses to last little bit over that 6 months.

Ive been going to vision works for a long while, over 5 years. I went to this location and honestly I expect better from visionworks. I bought glasses in Feb of this year. I had to return them because they kept sliding all over and off my face. I explained to them what was happening and they told me I had picked frames that were too big for my small face. Never came across that issue before, mind you Ive been wearing glasses for about 27 years. So I asked them what size I should be looking for. They found me kids glasses. I accepted it and had to pay an additional 38 dollars to what I had already paid (over 200). So I tried those frames and still had the issue of them falling off my face. I got them tighten just like the last pair. 20 min later theyre lose again. I go back for a 3rd or 4th time and get yet another pair, which I had to pay 26 dollars for a return fee. I went in yesterday because my newest pair of glasses are lose and fall off my face unless I put hair bands on the ear pieces. I was told twice it was the way I take off my glasses. I dont pull them off on just one side. I pull them off by holding the front lenses area. The associate yesterday completely blew me off when I was explaining my situation and told me I wasnt pulling them off correctly. She was in such a rush to get me and other people out there. I understand that there were a few people waiting but do things right! Im stuck with a pair of glasses I cant wear and wearing an old pair thats worn out. I will never return to this visionworks or any other visionworks. Ridiculous.
Went into the store because I needed new lenses but wanted to keep my frames. Even though my lenses were out of warranty, Nicole went above and beyond to get me the best solution at the best price. I couldnt have asked for better service. Ive been shopping at this store for over 10 years and I dont see that changing.
Previous customer for eye exams and glasses for me and my family. Horrible experience and wasted time today. Had an appointment for contact lens exam and from the beginning of the appointment process shared I do not want testing for retina or pressures. This is due to the fact I have had 3 comprehensive eye exams in the last three weeks at St Lukes Eye Institiute and Retina Specialists of Florida. I was willing to pay the full exam cost even though I was going to receive reduced services. I also brought the previous detailed reports should the Dr at VisionWorks needed to review. Both previous Ophthalmologist’s said its not necessary be tested again. Today the VisionWorks Dr. refused to take a look at my reports that had recent data to help me. I will never step foot in this eye glass chain or their sister businesses ever again.
I recently went to the vision-works in palm harbor with a pair of very expensive prescription sunglasses I purchased in 2018. Around the edges of the lens it looks like the finish is wearing off. I rarely even use them. I asked if I could get them replace. I was told that the warranty was expired and the reason this happen was exposer to heat and they were deteriorating and most likely left in a hot car. I said don’t most people leave there sunglasses in a car? She had no answer. I have cheap Walmart glasses I have had in my car for years and don’t have damage . I am very disappointed in the customer service and the quality they tell you are getting . I feel you should stand behind there product and replace them! If they deteriorate in heat they should tell you DON’T keep them in a hot car at time of purchase. I hope this review will help other customers NOT to leave your. As I was searching she came over and withing 10 minutes I had picked which ones I liked. She is so personable, kind, and professional!!! I honestly have never had anyone help me like she did. Barbi was amazing. My wife and I went to Visionworks because they are on our insurance plan. Barbi greeted us the minute we walked in the door. Due to COVID we had to have our temperature taken and were given a case to put our glasses in. Just another way COVID has changed the way we do things. As I looked around at all the glasses my wife asked about setting up a eye exam. They were able to do an eye exam at that time and then we were both looking for glasses. As we we’re looking around trying to make choices many other customers entered the store and they were all greeted quickly and with a smile. Barbi was so good she was able to work with more than one customer at a time and answer everyone’s questions. We ended up with new glasses and sunglasses. If you want a great experience by a professional ask for Barbi.
My husband Don and I have been to this store numerous times over the past 10 months, twice for myself and six times for my husband due vision issues and eye surgeries. Every time we visit the service is outstanding! The staff is extremely helpful, professional and patient. They are always willing to assist and answer all of our questions. Wow this Vision Works gets an A rating hands down ... Special shout out and praise to Barbie who was my husbands optician. He has Parkinsons and has cognitive issues especially making up his mind and he gets frustrated very easily. Barbie was kind, understanding, patient and so helpful through the entire visit ... we never felt rushed even though many customers were in and out! She even made a phone call to help with an insurance issue that popped up ( which she resolved). Thank you!!!!

I received a new pair of glasses from the Veterans Administration and took them to the Palm Harbor Visionworks store for a fitting. They did a great job, were very accommodating and didnt charge me a fee for the service. Im going to recommend my wife go no where else for her eyeglasses.
My sister and I stopped by the store on Friday to get several pairs of glasses adjusted. What great service we received from Barbie!!! So pleasant, happy and knowledgeable. If you are in need of good quality glasses with superior service, you need to look no further than Gabriella at Visionworks in Palm Harbor. I haven’t gotten a new set of glasses or even had my eyes tested in over three years. Gabriella made the transition from sitting with the optometrist for my eye exam to selecting the perfect pair of frames. I even added a pair of sunglasses due to her recommendation. I have been getting nothing but compliments on my new glasses, and I’m relieved to know I have found a permanent optical location. Thanks for the help Gabriella and the entire Visionworks team!

I went to Visionworks last month and had an amazing experience! After years of wearing glasses, I finally got frames that I feel look good! The prices were so reasonable that I bought prescription sunglasses as well and spent about the same I would have at another store, even using insurance! A very nice lady named Tera helped me, and her confidence and expertise made me feel that I was getting informed help, as well as excellent customer service. A great experience!
I really loved the environment when I walked into this vision works. I was greeted and was asked immediately what they could help me with. I was seen at a very timely matter. The girl that helped me was named, Nicole B. She was so attentive with my needs in my glasses, very kind and always had a smile on her face. I was running late without a baby sitter for my one year old son and they took me in right away when I got there and Jackie held my son for me ever so patiently while the doctor checked my eyes. I was so worried I would have to leave or reschedule but they were so awesome and accommodating!!!

This office is amazing!! Yesterday morning my frames broke and I headed to Visionworks first thing in the AM to find a replacement because I’m going out of the country on Tuesday. Thankfully after the Visionworks staff looked throughout their whole store they were able to find ONE set of frames that fit my lenses, that aren’t your typical lenses because they have prisms in them (thicker). I was in and out of there in 20 minutes and greatly appreciated their hard work and positive attitudes! Thank you, ladies!!

Very very understaffed in the gallery.....I had an appt and it still took 2 hours to get out of the office......One pair of the cheap frames($159) with my prescription with no extras was $509.....my ins kicked in $300 so my share was $200.......It is nearly impossible to get anyone on the phone....I called when I got a message saying my glasses had arrived and to call for an appt to come in and pick up.....On hold for 20 minutes before hanging up.....NEVER AGAIN.
I had the most amazing experience picking out my new glasses. The sales associate Arden was wonderful and very helpful. She was very patient with my selection process, more than I was. LOL!! The optician was great. However, the other part of there office lacks EVERYTHING. They will not call you to let you know that your glasses are in. When you tell them they are not correct, they make you take them home for 10 days before you get them to check and replace them. Again, still no call to let you know the second time the glasses are ready to pick up. Again the prescription is wrong and they want to argue with you about them not being correct. Its always sad that your old glasses work better than the new ones. But the bright side is that I found out when i picked the glasses up, they did not give me the designer glass case (but the old cheap ones). You would have thought they would have said something. They will not give you your money back guarantee as their signs state- its worth only 10% or in my case $20 b/c I used insurance. Now for the third time, I was told they would call when my glasses come in. Shocker.... no phone call. Hopefully today will be my lucky day to get the right prescription in my glasses. Thank god i kept my old frames. Be careful.
Cant say enough good things. Both Barbi (31 Dec 2018) and Nick (22 Jan 2019) were professional, accommodating and never tried to up-sale the account. Oh, and both my fathers and my lenses were ground and fit perfectly. 5-Stars!
I have been wearing glasses for 20 years and this was the best experience because of Nicole the sales associate. She helped me pick out a pair that are so flattering and made sure my measurements were corrects. I can see so much better out of the new ones compared to my old ones.

ALWAYS FOLLOW THESE REVIEWS. It wasnt until I was already sitting in an examination room that I began to read these reviews. This chain, Vision Works, can easily be compared to going to a Florida Dental Center or a Bright Now, expecting good dental care. The doctor at Visionworks did do a thorough exam, although she was not at all personable. We were led to believe that we had paid for specialty contacts at $148 and the contacts would be ordered. We brought a $50 off exam coupon and since no other figures were mentioned when we paid, that was that. We went around the corner to continue on for purchasing a pair of frames and lenses for glasses. After finding a pair and being told that the $50 off would be taken off at this time, the lady tells us that the glasses now come to $400+. And then she begins to tell us that we didnt order contacts, but only a trial pair and it will be additional just to order the contacts. None of this was explained, communicated, nothing. They wait until the very end to hit you with the fees (Mind you, 3 hours into this appointment and waiting). We are beyond frustrated. When we mentioned how nothing was explained, the lady said its not normal to have an explanation up front and she took zero responsibility for anything except for to say that the contacts section are seperate from her and around the corner. All around, terrible!
I too, do not understand the other reviews. I purchased two pairs of glasses, and contacts at this store and the service and the people were absolutely wonderful to deal with. My wife, also purchased two pair of glasses, and she too, had a wonderful experience at this store. In both our cases, we had a large selection to choose from and a very helpful associate who led us to the best quality glasses for what our budgets could afford. They worked with our insurance company to get the maximum benefits allowed, then they had both our glasses ready BEFORE the time they promised us! We couldnt have found better service, quality or price at any other eye care provider. They have our business for good now and should have it. I would emphatically recommend this store to anyone who wants quality service and products at a good price for their vision needs.
I had purchased glasses in store, however I stumbled across the exact same pair online that evening, at quite a significant difference in price. I contacted the store in Palm Harbor, first thing the following morning to cancel my order. I was advised to hold onto the order for quality of product, however I wanted to continue with the cancelation. The following morning, Monday at 9am, I called insurance to see if the order had been submitted and at that point it had not. I then directly contacted Vision Works to discuss my refund time frame and they informed me that since it had been submitted to insurance, it would be up to 30 days before I would see a refund. My question was, why would they submit to insurance after the fact of a previous day cancelation? I am very upset with the quality of service I recieved.Please do not use vision works if looking for honesty in transaction!
I am a Canadian and had ordered new glasses in Canada from other supplier but left for Florida before I got the glasses. Took my glasses in for adjustment and my offer to pay was refused.Zoey, my attendant, was most friendly and helpful. Will definitely return for my eye wear needs.Eileen Timmons, Clearwater

Very low quality Lens. The anti-reflective coating started to wear off on one lens, after less then a year, leaving patches on the lens. Visionworks refused to replace the damaged lens or even attempt to find a satisfactory resolution for my $350 glasses. They do not stand behind their low quality product. We asked management to send the lens to the supplier for review to find the cause for the degrading coating but SJ refused. She did not care to rectify the problem or even attempt to find a satisfactory resolution. Do not recommend this business.
I was able to schedule a same day appointment & even though I was late they still worked me in. The staff was exceptional & you could tell they really care about their patients. I must have been at a different office than the people who left a negative review because my experience was the complete opposite. I will most definitely recommend this office.

I was helped at the Curlew Store by Arden. This individual WAS SUPERIOR IN THE VERY ASSET OF THE WORD. She went so very much out of her way to help me find a particular pair of glasses and she literally spent at least at a hour or more! I can’t begin to tell how I am definitely going to come back and I will be coming back to Vision Works due to Arden! Visionworks in Palm Harbor, FL provided excellent customer service and their selections of frames & lens was extensive and the lens options were fully explained. The savings on a new pair of glasses with progressive bifocals, premium lens coatings and Transistions coating was HUGE with my VSP insurance plan. The Visionworks associate “Vik” who assisted me was very professional, well informed and was able to educate me to make the best choice(s). Visionworks was the third store I went to that day. The first place no longer took my insurance, the second place was a complete scam and gave me misinformation about my options and insurance. Very happy I went to Visionworks in Palm Harbor. I highly recommend that business to anybody who needs glasses and great customer service .
Got an appointment right away on the same day, which was great. Showed up at the time they indicated, and the assistant, I guess, did the initial eye check. Not friendly at all. Had a bit of an attitude. She put me in a room and told me the dr would be in shortly. My appointment started at 3. By 3:30 I came out to ask how much longer. The girl gave me attitude told me it was only 3:30 and that my appointment had already started. They usually take an hour, she said. Dr. finally came in at 3:45. While I was checking out, the girls baby came to visit, so she was in the reception area talking very loud to her baby and ignoring everyone else yelling across the store to other employees about her baby being there. This was very unprofessional. Im a cash paying customer without insurance. I wont be back there to get an eye exam. The purchasing part of the store was great, though.
So happy with my new Optomotrist! Patty at the front was a delight and Jessie walked me through all the cool new equipment and eye tests. I was so happy to hear and SEE that my eyes are HEALTHY! Then Dr. Miller got me into the perfect contacts for my lets say, not so great contact habits. THANKS DR. MILLLER! What a great team!
This was my first visit for an eye exam and I was very impressed with the office staff and doctor. Patty and Jackie were very efficient, helpful and pleasant and Dr. Cochran was wonderful! I would highly recommend them to others.
You need glasses this is the place to go! Such friendly staff! Especially Nicole, very friendly and knows her facts. Greets you with a huge smile and a personality to match! I definitely will be back.
