Well I have no comment on their business practices or store as I have never seen it. Went out of my way to go there the other day only for it to be “by appointment only” while I lost money on gas and time, whatever. I tried to to call to no avail but it is what it is as I was only shopping around and this verified to me the best coin dealer in the area is just a little north.

Asher the owner is very experienced and very knowledgeable. Easy to talk to provides fair value and will inform you the true value of your coins and gold. I went in just to get an appraisal on a few things that I thought had very little value. Asher educated me and I left very pleased with quality golden coin would highly recommend to anyone looking to sell coins or gold or to have an appraisal.

I can’t say enough about the honesty and service at Quality Coin and Gold. I bought some silver eagles from them about 4 months age. I’m having a bit of a hard time and needed some money. I called and talked to four different coin shops asking how much would they pay me for some of my eagles. 3 of them said they couldn’t buy them at all. And one of them offered me $20.00 ea. The spot price was about $23.70 at this time. Quality Coin and Coin gave me $1.00 over spot. They even gave me a little extra to help my with my personal issues. Called to just have someone look at my coins and appraise them and the lady who answered turned me away in a very brief three minutes. I own quite a few coins and being inexperienced with their potential values and trying to explain what coins I have over the phone is very frustrating in itself. Very disappointed. First time visit today and was really impressed. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was Asher along with another worker handling everything with gloves. These people are such scam artist when I asked the value of my Morgan silver dollar which I know used is $200 all day the woman told me $10 I said no its not she said why have you been offered more I said yes she said hold on let me show it to my boss to see if we can get you more he comes back says its a fake I said show me that its a fake while they were still willing to offer $10 for the fake because it is of course silver instead of giving me the answer and showing me where and how it was fake he told me he would pay so I picked up my silver dollar and walked out these people are clearly scam artist looking for crack heads or people desperate for money that is not the case I would not suggest going there

I had some coins I wanted to sell and had been going to another coin dealer for years, where I had to work with a different person each time, which I didn’t like. After some internet searching I came across Midwest Coin and Collectibles. I took my coins to get a free evaluation at their location in Highland Park, which was clean and well organized. The entire process took about 20 minutes between the sorting, evaluation, offer process and sale. They paid me a little more than my old coin dealer usually did, and the best part was when I called 2 weeks later with some questions. The owner actually remembered me! I worked with him again when I came in the next time. The second time I brought them a variety of foreign coins, some US Mint proof sets and mint sets, 1 graded coin and some gold jewelry. They paid a fair price and took the time to test a bunch of jewelry, some ended up not being gold and some was gold (which I almost threw out in the garbage). Sure glad I brought in all the jewelry and they tested it. I got a couple more hundred dollars from the extra jewelry that turned out to be gold.I really like the time and care they take to evaluate coins and test jewelry, free quotes, the fair prices I received, and dealing with the same person every time. I have recommended Midwest Coin to a coworker and my friend’s sister so far.

Very nice and honest buyer of collectible. Was very kind in informing me of the lack of monetary value of some heirloom jewelry (not that I was disappointed, it was still valuable to me!) and paid a very fair price for some collectibles. Plus, they have a wonderfully eclectic selection of treasures.

This is the best place to buy Silver Eagles. They always have lots of silver in stock and great prices. They also use a high tech electronic bullion tester so I know exactly what I am buying. I jut picked up another Silver Eagle roll Midwest Coin.

Called two weeks ago to setup an appointment. Drove two hours and no one was there according to address on Google. Verified that a coin dealer was there.Drove another 20 minutes to address on website and the office was empty. Called the business number and Stevens and no answer. Website listed then as being open but they were closed. Luckily American Rare Coin took my coins with no appointment.

I had searched on YELP and Google for a trustworthy local coin dealer to evaluate and possibly sell a coin collection and some old bills to that were part of my grandfathers estate. First I went to a different place that I really wasnt comfortable at so I searched more and found Midwest Coin. When I went there they took the time to thoroughly evaluate my coin collection. Even though I had no interest in collecting coins they helped me understand what I had and the prices they offered, which were more than the other coin dealers offer. I decided to sell them Grandpas coin collection and old bills and was paid on the spot. They made a stressful task into a fun, learning and profitable experience. I had some gold jewelry and a diamond wedding ring we inherited that we shopped around to sell. Midwest Coin was the most straightforward and paid about 25% more than a few of the other places we went.

There were two guys in store when I walked in . I was dressed business casual and I was well informed as I knew what the current spot price was . They offered me well under the spot price . I only went there because they had the best reviews so I changed that . The only reason I gave them the low rating is because the gentleman who helped me lied when he said that dealers only pay spot for 100% silver .
