I got my beautiful car out of the showroom a year ago and I love it just as much as I did back then. My mom, sister, and brother all got a car from here. Their staff is top notch. They’re not all annoying like other car dealerships so that’s always a plus. I really love the selection too. And the fact that you can seriously take a car for 7 days to see if you’re loving it is so true! We went through 3 cars before we got mine. Love this place. When we’re ready to get our next car we will be back!

Satisfied is an understatement. Mary was so friendly and helpful through this whole experience. I was sold a lemon car back in 2018 from a Ford dealership. They were rude and pressured me and lied about the car. My mom bought a Toyota Highlander last year from this CarMax and they were so fast, friendly, and efficient. Ford bought back my lemon vehicle and I came straight here. I browsed the lot and fell in love immediately with this beautiful 2020 Corolla. Mary and another lady in training (I can’t remember her name but she was so sweet too!) were amazing and answered all my questions. The only thing good about this place is a sales guy name Alexis, and the no haggle rule. You make an appointment then sit in a waiting area for 20 minutes like you’re waiting for the doctor. You decide to give them your business, and they make you wait 3+ hours to collect your 20k.Your husband drives off with the car, and doesn’t check it. It’s still dirty. Someone’s old food is stuck in the gear changer, and inside the center console.So you call, this is unacceptable. They say, just come back in. Well, you’ve already spent 3+ hours there today, so it’s unreasonable for them to ask you to do it again. You agreed to try your best, but inform them it might be two days before you can come. “No worries” they lie to you over the phone.You take the car back in and get turned away because “we don’t do that here.”Literally so upset at this whole process. This is supposed to be a happy experience, but carmax made it so frustrating.

I went to Palmdale Carmax because they had the car I was looking for. Its always a good idea to and try and visit the Carmax location with the car you like. If you elect to have the car shipped, it may get sold in the meantime. The staff at Palmdale Carmax are very professional and efficient. Their prices were very fair, both for my trade-in and purchase. The document process and vehicle delivery were very good and I was on the road with my car within three hours.

The initial agent that helped me transfer my vehicle was not clear on all the repairs the vehicle had undergone with Carmax. I was told by another agent after I test drove it and question many things on it. I ended up loosing $200 for transferring this vehicles and not one staff member stepped up to this. My experience was that once carmax has your money they dont give very much attention to any issues. I regret working with carmax.

My sister has purchased many cars from Carmax, but this was my 1st time. I did all my shopping online until I found my perfect car in the valley. It was transferred to Lancaster for me to test drive after they did a thorough check of the car. Its absolutely perfect!! Carmax delivers the best of the best with quality in service as well. You get what you pay for and its worth it to have quality. To sweeten it further, I received a settlement and was able to pay cash out the door and it feels amazing. I am so blessed!!

I sold my car to the Palmdale CarMax last weekend. Overall, it was a very positive experience. Edwin helped me with the sale and also showed me a few cars I was interested in. He was top-notch. Liz assembled my closing paperwork. At that point in the day, my chronic illness was flaring, which made things interesting for Liz. She was understanding, didnt ask intrusive questions, and was very accommodating. She was fantastic. ...Everyone there was really nice and professional except for the random employee who told me it looked like I was stealing their masks, which I wasnt. Fortunately, I didnt have to work with that guy. I lower my review by half a star for his comment, but Ill still round up to 5 stars because CarMax Palmdale seems like a fantastic business. Ill come back in the future, and you should too.

I am disappointed with the COVID policy. I came for a simple oil change: I have to wait outside in the cold on a hard chair while the sign says that they are open for appointments only. Well, I do have an appointment - I guess for the lonely plastic chair outside. Be aware, it is intended for drop off services. Still, it would be nice to have a heated space.

Shopping experience was not the best. However the real issues started after 2 weeks that I bought my car the car turned off on me in the middle of the freeway. Very dangerous and shocking considering they “inspect” the cars before taking them in and selling them. Car gets towed into my local CarMax and they send it over to Land Rover to get checked out since they clearly don’t know what they’re doing. When over at Land Rover they have been debating on who’s going to pay for the issue and CarMax throws me into an old Honda Civic two doors when I’m paying for a Land Rover Range Rover sport 2019 and they act like they’re doing me a favor. Keep in mind my car is still under they’re 90 day warranty AND I bought the max car plan. Very poor customer service. Just take care of the customer. Over a week later CarMax is still declining to fix my car. I would give zero stars if I could.

I would give 5 stars as the service itself (once we were seen) was fast, efficient, friendly, and easy. However, we had an appointment at 6 pm and checked in but we sat there until 8 pm without anyone saying anything or routinely checking in on us. I kept asking multiple times if we had been checked in since we werent being approached. No explanation was given.

Looking for a newer Chrysler 300C for my wife but there was none on the lot. We had the appraisal done on her current car but we will have to wait for the other car to be transferred from Nevada. Other than that the workers there were very friendly and helpful.

We were hoping to have a great experience. They even had a truck we were interested in. We walked away because they wouldnt let us indoors without a mask.

After I put two cars on hold and they sold them to someone else I was finally able to find my perfect car and I picked it up straight away when I saw the post on their app. When they sold the first two cars I put on hold I called them after the first car they sold out from under me and asked if it was first come first serve or if they really are supposed to hold. They reassured me that what happened to me was one in a million and it wouldnt happen again. So I found another car, put that on hold, and they sold that one to someone else as well. When I found the car I ended up buying I drove straight there and was able to get it. Moral of the story is dont put a car on hold and expect to get it like I did! Even though they say they hold it there is a chance they don’t! Other than that the experience of buying my car was good and I absolutely love my car! The people I spoke with at the stores and over the phone were very nice as well!

Worst service ever! I reserved a car and got on a call to arrange the process within minutes. The customer service rep gave me all the information including $99 shipping fee for the car. Called again the next and said had something come up I want to go ahead and have it shipped to my closest location. Well now it’s $199. It’s no longer a discussion about the price but customer service and honoring what you told me it would cost. Honor your prices since the call was recorded go over it and you can hear that the rep said $99 to ship. Lost a customer and won’t be back and likely you will have more customers on the same path when you are not honest with your prices and would not honor your word.Discussion made me feel like They don’t care about the customer service and want to make money in any way they can. Sadly, it’s your loss. And now I have friends and family that will head the opposite direction as well. Waste of my time.

It took longer then expected to get my vehicle repaired. The issue accorded the day we purchased the vehicle. We had to wait three weeks an appointment. Then it took an additional two days to finish the repairs I was better off to take it to the dealership.

PATHETIC, IRRESPONSIBLE, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE are the nicest terms I can use for this particular location. We made an appointment on phone, got confirmation about our appointment and then drove to our appointment and reached the dealership at 6:45 pm. We were checked in by a smooth talking sales guy. We were asked to go in the lot and look at the cars, till the assigned sales person ( with whom we had an appointment) shows up. Fast forward an hour. NOONE shows up. Its already 8 pm. After multiple queries and multiple follow ups with simply walking around employees, we got the following answers: apparently too many employees are at lunch at 8 pm, rest are with other customers. Final result: WE NEVER EVEN GOT TO EVEN TEST DRIVE, and drove back from Palmdale to Orange County.I wish I could have given zero stars to this location, but thats not an option.PS: There was an elderly couple inside the dealership ( customer), who told us they had similar experience at this location.We were there to buy a particular car. Thats why we drove so much.. We were going to test drive and close the deal. CarMax forever lost us, my family, my friends as future customers.

Buying a car from CarMax was the best experience! We took the car for a 24 hour test drive and fell in love with it! It was great! I highly recommend using them the next time you buy a car!

I am a bit upset and disappointed that at no time was i offered gap insurance and i didnt notice it till it was all done. It bothered me so i went back the next day and questioned it, but nobody there looked it up to see why, they just guessed it wasnt offered.

The experience was decent as far as the purchasing process. However, if you have excellent credit such as I do, do NOT finance with them. Their rates are ridiculous and high regardless of your credit score (803). Secondly, the car was so dirty on the inside and outside. They cleaned it and it still looked bad. We had it detailed a week later and chose the pay off option through our own lender but unfortunately still had to pay their ridiculous fees which could have been less. Overall, if you have good credit, get a loan with a credit union first with much better interest rates, then purchase.

We went to see if they would purchase our 2005 Mercury as it just sits in front of our door since we purchased from Car Max a new Ford a few years ago, so we really didnt need the other any more. They were very nice and offered us a fair price. I would always purchase from them as they have great cars. I should also tell you that our 2005 Mercury was purchase there.

Think twice before buying a vehicle from CARMAX. A month in with my 2018 Toyota Camry and have had many issues in which they do not want to fix. Dealer warranty states within 90 days or 4,000 miles, whichever comes first. Which they did not obey. They were full of bs excuses to get around it. I had to buy all 4 new tires because there were no good due to the car having a bad alignment. If I could give no stars I would.

Ive been trying to attempt to reach their service department since the end of May of 2021. Still havent gotten the line picked up. Like seriously? Your service department sucks. And the nearest other carmax is in like SB County. Why cant you guys answer your phone? My car is bugging out electrically! Its not game to just ignore phone calls.

Wait time was horrible. I went to sell my vehicle. It was already apprised. It took just over 2 hours to complete the transaction. Pathetic! Will no longer be going back to that Carmax

We ran into an issue with some IT however, she had her manager jump on it right away which was awesome.Course of time, we did spend about five hours there which wasnt okay however I can not blame them.Overall my experience there was alright, I gave the five star due to all the high service they provided. Excellent customer service by Helen and woody on completely separate occasions. Going to Carmax takes the stress out of car shopping because the associates don’t pressure you into purchasing a vehicle. Both Helen and Woody encouraged us to keep looking and not rush or get into something we were not comfortable with. The only thing I would suggest is to let the consumer know whenever you bring a car back your credit will be ran every time you choose another vehicle. I would recommend everyone who’s looking into the vehicle of their choice to give a thorough inspection. I had to bring back a few because of extreme safety issues.

Carmax deceived me. I paid to transfer a car from Las Vegas Sahara Ave dealership to California for a specific SUV but they sent me the wrong car model. I felt deceived and mislead by the company. Never will I encourage my friends, colleagues and family to buy car from the company

This is the slowest carmax I have been to. Everyone is super nice and relaxed, but if they could value the buyers time a little more they would be outstanding.The facility is clean and they have a nice amount of high end vehicles to chose from.

Dealers in California do not need to have Title to sell a vehicle, and after 4 weeks Carmax STILL can not tell us when the title will arrive. We will begin investigating the option of returning this car soon.

I would give less than one star if I could.My girlfriend bought a 2017 Civic EX-L a couple of days ago, and unfortunately, I was on the east coast and when the car was delivered. When I came home, I looked over the car, and I noticed that three of the tires were dry rotted and cracked. When the car was delivered to her, the salesperson stated that two tires were changed out for new tires. The only tire that was somewhat new was a six-month-old tire from 2021 that looked to have more than half its tread worn down. We took the car to be checked out since the TPMS light came on twice, once when leaving the lot and the second after I aired up the tires and had reset the TPMS. While there, I inquired about having the dry-rotted and cracked tires replaced as they were five years old and low on tread.Their service department was slow, and we waited 2 hours to have them check out dry-rotted and cracked tires only for them to come back and say that the reason for the TPMS sensor light coming on was because the front tires were different in size as one was newer and the other was obviously old and on its last leg. Their solution was to replace one of the front tires with a new tire. So the car would have still been on unequal-sized front tires. When I asked about the two back tires, which were also dry-rotted and cracked, they simply stated that it passed their inspection and that they wouldnt replace them. Instead of dealing with Carmax, my girlfriend decided to return the car, and I think its the best decision she could have made. To anyone looking at buying a vehicle here, make sure you inspect carefully and make sure you do not drive off the lot with dry-rotted and cracked tires.

I went on line, filled out the information Carmax needed about my car. I was surprised and skeptical by their offer, so I made an appointment. They looked over my car and gave me what they offered. I was never pressured to buy another car, they were very courteous and I waked out with a bank draft. Thank you Carmax...

I’m returning a vehicle before the 30 days and under the 1500 miles. It is not as easy I’ve been waiting here for over an hour. When you purchase the car they tell you it’s hassle free and it’sa fast process. That’sa lie, I asked if I can leave to go get something to eat and they said that if we step outside and are not here when they call us they will just leave the vehicle outside.

Went in to buy a truck with a check maid for Carmax already knew what car we wanted sales person that helped us left us right after she took our check told us that we just needed to wait a few minutes to sign paperwork. Then handed us over to another sales person to finish her sale. I was very disappointed about her leaving and it didn’t take a few minutes it took five hours for us to sign paperwork and employees were very rude and disrespectful .I would never go back to Carmax in Palmdale again. Also that same day there was another customer that was very upset and when off on manager and it was not a nice scene that day!😡

There was a crack in the windshield and the sales person in Murrieta told me to contact the service dept in palmdale (closest carmax to me) to get it replaced however cant get anyone on the freaking phone. Unable to get ahold of anyone in service at Palmdale as well as anyone at the location. After I sat on hold with service only to be told voicemail is full and no one is available when redirected to operator. Tried calling 3 days in a row only to get same response. I purchased the vehicle by driving to Murrieta bc the transfer processed is ridiculous. I really liked the purchase process of my last vehicle through carmax but this time its discouraging so this will be the last purchase through them.

My second car purchase from CarMax Palmdale was fantastic. It was time to replace my lovely little red Fiat purchased here in early 2018, so I upgraded to a 2019 Volvo XC40 T5-R with only 3K miles, which I had shipped from Northern California. It arrived even ahead of schedule. Helen was fabulous and able to answer any and all questions. The transaction was smooth, non-rushed, and quite easy. The locale was great in regard to Covid-19 spacing and overall cleaning protocols. As a healthcare practitioner, I appreciate the attention to these details. Thanks for another great experience.

Great people (seems rehearsed for some) and the service was on par. I got two vehicles delivered to this location for free and decided to buy the second one. I returned it 6 days later and got no hassle. I removed a star due to their antiquated way of refunding back to my bank...a check sent to their address! This is 2021, we need electronic deposits! It took more than three weeks and multiple calls for them to refund my bank and therefore I owed my bank interest.
