I worked at the San Francisco store (now defunct) throughout my first few years in San Francisco (2006-2009). I had previously worked in customer service but never in a retail position. I learned from the ground up how a small business was run, as Marilyn the owner had started back in the 80s. We assisted customers, checked in and priced merchandise, took inventory, etc.
I bought a Scottevest jack from her store. Unfortunately it was just too big and I went back want to get a smaller size. Being the rarely jacket it is, owner really went out of her way and ordered me a smaller size. The whole process took about a week, but at the end I was very happy that I finally got the jacket I want.
Well, if youre black, good luck finding a cashier/store rep that gives a **** about you. Right when I walked in, the rep pointed directly at the clearance items and said There are clearance items over there in the corner... if youre interested. She didnt bother asking me if I wanted help or not. Poor customer service, and Im fairly sure that the people working there dont have a clue about the products that they are slinging to be sold.I dont think being profiled should be something that I should consider when looking around for a bag. What a mess. Also, the products are over-priced. Youll be better off purchasing directly from the manufacturer than to buy anything here.Avoid it and at-least try to order it from the manufacturer.
Excellent customer service. Very knowledgeable staff and reasonably priced goods. Sadly I cant say the same for some of their customers. The last time I was there I saw some badly dressed tramp covered in mud, lurking around the female handbags. He was all sweaty and kept licking his fingers and sniffing the shirts. It was quite unnerving. I had my mace ready in case he tried anything but luckily a member of staff stepped in and moved the mentally ill weirdo to the clearance section until the police came and took him back to the reservation.
Good products, not cheap, bot friendly.
